Great way to spend a couple of hours learning sumo tradition and culture.
The venue is very easy to find from the Hanazonocho subway station. The Sumo Studio is located at top of the subway exit stairs. The staff members speak English well and are very attentive to the audience. The program content was very upbeat with the audience’s participation, the fantastic sumo wrestlers and the very energetic MC. I laughed a lot watching my travel partner don the mawashi, do the tradition warm up exercises, and finally attempt to wrestle Kai and Ryu. Both sumo wrestlers catered to each participant for the best photo shoot. Before I knew it the show was over! How true it is, time flies when you are having fun! Such an enjoyable was to spend a couple of hours.

Great Intro to Nara
Keith was a great guide. We met up early at Osaka Station and he provided IC cards for us to get to Nara. It was about 45 minutes to get to Nara from Osaka via subway with just one transfer. Once we got there we walked through a cover dining hall (can’t remember if it had an official name or not) and Keith provided a lot of shop recommendations for anyone looking to hang around and eat in the area after the tour. We proceeded to go the the Deer Park where you have the opportunity to buy cookies to feed the deer if you so choose. We then went to the Todai-ji Temple which was a great call as we avoided the rush of the crowds. We had plenty of time to explore and take pictures and all throughout Keith was giving us a lot of history about the Temple as well as the general history of Nara. We then proceeded to the Kasuga Taishi Shrine for a quick history lesson and photo ops. After that we proceeded to walk back towards the train station where those that wanted to stick around and explore broker off and those that wanted to head back could hop back on the train. All in all a great experience. Keith was super friendly and accommodating. A great intro to Nara.

Great tour with lots of food!
This was such a fun experience. Our host Jake was so enthusiastic and full of knowledge. We got to try some of the best street food in Osaka, and left more than full to the point we couldn't even finish. I highly recommend this tour as it was a great time for adults and kids.

Great intro to Osaka
This was a great way for us to start out our trip in Osaka. We went to 6 local spots and tried many dishes at each that we probably wouldn’t have ordered if we were on our own. Paul and Yuki were so friendly and helpful, they even gave us recommendations for after our tour that were also outstanding. Would definitely recommend to start out with this tour for first time visitors to Osaka.

Old meets new in Osaka, where you’ll find Japan’s first official temple alongside some of the most modern food, fashion, and entertainment in the country. Make sense of the contrasts by following a local guide around the city, from the neon lights of Dotonbori to the retro arcades of Shinsekai and the peaceful cherry blossom park around Osaka Castle. Food is a major draw here, which is why many Osaka tours highlight the historic Kuromon food market and nearby kitchenware district.
