Hello, we are Oishii Kitchen, a Japanese cooking school. We offer a 3-hour cooking class where you can learn easy and delicious Japanese home-style cuisine near Osaka Castle.We welcome foreign tourists. Classes are in simple English and Japanese.Recipes are in English.

Private Tea ceremony experience in Namba, the center of tourism in Osaka. You can deeply immerse yourself in traditions in a personal and calming atmosphere. All of our products provide private experiences, so you can take photos anytime and make adjustments toward the satisfaction of your experience. (e.g. I want you to take lots of photos during the experience. I want you to proceed slowly to match my child's pace accordingly. etc...) We will provide a special time for each group. The experience will be carefully guided by a friendly instructor. This is a completely private experience, so we will closely attend all our participants. Our studio is located in Namba, the center of tourism in Osaka, so you can easily reach here from Shinsaibashi-suji shopping street!

Learn how to recreate your favorite Japanese dishes at home in this small-group cooking lesson in Osaka. The small group size allows for more personalized attention and feedback from your instructor to help you nail the different cooking techniques. Unlike classes with pre-set menus, go into your session making the dish you want from a choice of katsu curry, bento, okonomiyaki, or takoyaki.

In this hands-on workshop, appreciate the art of making Japanese tea as you prepare and try different drinks including oolong tea, matcha, and hojicha. You’ll even sample a tea cocktail and traditional Japanese sweets.

A typical cooking class is where you learn recipes and eat together, but our class also focuses on the "fun" aspect. We place emphasis on cooking while having fun with an experienced instructor. As the name of the class suggests, it is Cook, Taste and Enjoy Osaka. We use seasonal ingredients from each season of Japan. We directly purchase carefully selected Koshihikari rice from a contracted farmer in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, known as one of the leading rice-producing areas in Japan, to provide the highest quality rice. Please choose from Course A or Course B. Both courses involve making two dishes together. Course A features sukiyaki, tempura, and rolled omelet. Course B features wagyu roast beef bowl, chicken nanban, and sashimi. Please choose Course A or Course B when making a reservation. The course lasts about two hours.

This hands-on cooking experience lets you create a unique “sushi cake,” a modern and visually stunning style of sushi popular for celebrations in Japan. With guidance from an English-speaking instructor, you will learn how to assemble sushi rice and fresh ingredients into a beautifully layered cake. It enable you to try it again in your home soon after put alcohol liquid into the bottle.

The instructor is a licensed Urasenke instructor and can answer any questions in English.This is the only place where you can experience a formal tea ceremony on a chair, rather than sitting on tatami mats. Not only enjoying making Match but you also learn about the history of the ceremonny in Japan.

In this experience, you can freely ask questions and take as many photos as you like during the tea ceremony. You will also create a matcha tea bowl using a traditional Japanese pottery technique called the "kurinuki" method. The experience includes two chopsticks rests as a gift, which you can use to enjoy sweets for tea ceremony at home. This double workshop is offered in our studio, a century-old two-storey building located in the Ikuno Ward. Teacher Shinichi Kono has been a sushi chef for over 30 years. The teacher will carefully instruct you in step of the process how to making sushi. Guests will be able to experience Japanese tradition. The sushi restaurant where this class will be held, tools such as knives, and ingredients used in sushi. Everything is of high quality and guests will have an experience like no other.

You’ll learn how to make traditional Japanese miso. You’ll make 1 kg of miso yourself and take it home. After letting it mature at home for 3 to 5 months, it will be ready to eat. After the miso-making experience, you’ll taste five different types of miso. Then, you’ll make and enjoy miso soup and rice balls.
