The jet skiing was a...

The jet skiing was a blast! We were glad the guides didn’t just go in a straight line but let us weave back and forth and play on the water. It was my first time driving a jet ski, and I felt 100% safe. It was a Great surprise that all of the pictures they took of us appeared on their Facebook page and were therefore available to us (at no additional cost). The snorkeling with sharks and rays was so fun - a highlight for us!

It was a magnificent experience. After some searching, we spotted and saw whales up close, and it was thrilling. The captain was excellent, and our guide, Ivy, was outstanding—courteous, polite, and very knowledgeable. She explained everything we needed to know and made the experience safe and captivating.

Absolutely amazing experience. Still speechless. Worth every penny. Just make sure you pick the right option after choosing the time - there is one option that includes snorkeling and one that doesn’t. We found that a bit confusing, but luckily we were notified by the tour managers a few days before and were able to amend our booking to actually include the snorkeling option.

Absolutely amazing...

Absolutely amazing experience! Would always recommend! The lunch is focused on the fish (very delicious!), but there was also a chicken option. If you are vegan/vegetarian you’ll have to be ok with just the sides of rice/pasta and some sauce (and fresh cut coconut!) but otherwise this was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Hina und Tia were the best guides!!

Amazing guide and captain

Yohan and Nico were both nice and talented! It is such an art to find whales. Especially for us it was a rough sea and we could have waited for several hours in line to watch a whale but Yohan decided to move so we dont have to wait like that and lucky us we found 3 whales together including a giangantic one, we went in water 3 times ! Incredible and unforgettable moments.

If I had one day in...

If I had one day in Moorea this is how I would spend it. Best homemade rum punch & custom palm leaf hat by our tour guide Wilfred! He even gave us tips how to dry the hat so we could bring it back to the US (it worked!). Very thorough and thoughtful trip. It was a great way to spend time and explore Moorea!!!

Good operation – just watch the whale calendar

Well-run, responsibly managed operation. Precise upfront communication. Our guide gave a bilingual onboard briefing about whale behavior and shark safety while we motored out. We didn't find any whales, but that's on us – we booked on July 31, and whales don't really arrive until August, and peak in Sept.-Oct. We spotted some dolphins and got in the water, but the dolphins swam away (although one passenger got some GoPro underwater footage of them). To compensate, our guide took us to a sea-turtle spot, where we saw a couple of turtles and got a magical view of one multi-colored turtle swimming up right by us to breathe. Onboard drinks/snacks were a nice touch.

Best Half-Day Adventure in Moorea!

There is no better way to spend half a day on Moorea than on a quad bike. Our guide Marco was incredible, he made the entire trip a blast and kept us smiling the whole time. The key locations speak for themselves; both beautiful and breathtaking. The ease of exploring by quad is what makes this so wonderful. Easy to get around and a guide that navigates you easily across the island. Our mid-point break before Magic Mountain was a local shop where we tried some local fruit and jams. The food was wonderful and the smoothies are event better. Start to finish this was an amazing tour. Could not recommend it more and 5/5 stars for Marco!

Our best day in French Polynesia

This was the absolute highlight of our week on Moorea! We definitely recommend doing the early (7:25am) tour as it wasn’t busy at all at the spots we stopped - when we finished the lagoon was hectic. We saw a turtle napping in coral, got up and close with rays and young sharks, had a magnificent swim in a coral garden and learnt about local history with the underwater statues. Our captain, Swan, and our guide, Louis were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They know the lagoon well, spotted all kinds of wildlife we’d never have known to look for, and kept a relaxed pace. We left feeling happy, relaxed and thrilled to have seen such beauty in the wild. Looking back at the bay from the deck of a catamaran, drinking a mai tai and watching the clouds play about the mountain tops was an experience we won’t forget. Mauruuru!

Incredible Snorkeling and Outstanding Guides

We had an amazing time on this 3-hour snorkeling tour in Moorea! The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made everyone feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The activities were well organized, fun, and gave us the opportunity to experience the beautiful marine life and crystal-clear waters that Moorea is known for. The guides were knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about sharing the island's natural beauty. Everything was handled professionally, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. If you're visiting Moorea and looking for a memorable snorkeling adventure, I would highly recommend this tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

Perfect day!!

Could not have asked for a better day! Our captain Mahai and guide Kevin made the day extremely enjoyable and know exactly how to get as close as possible to the whales. If the weather permits they will get you there. We were lucky enough to get to see a mother whale and her baby extremely close while we were in the water with them it was a breathtaking experience when we would never forget thank you again to our captain and guide.

Simply magnificent!

This experience was facilitated by UltraReef, who run shared and private tours. The maximum number of people on the shared tours is 6, where some of the other companies have 12 and you have to share the time searching or swimming with the whales. The UltraReef team consists of Julian (Captain) and Marie (Guide and whale expert). We were picked up at the Manava Beach Resort Dock and taken out of the lagoon to the open sea but because the winds were extremely strong and the swell was high, they took us to the western side of the island (20 minute ride) where the conditions were much better. Within five minutes our guide had spotted a pair of whales and we were in the water for an amazing experience that we’ll never forget. We floated directly over the two behemoths of the ocean and watched them surface and play around on the water’s surface. Our next opportunity came when some males were spotted and we were swimming with a male ‘singer’ listening to his wonderful underwater melody. One of the best experiences my wife and I have ever had, and we have travelled the world. We can’t praise Julian and Marie enough for this opportunity, their professionalism, knowledge and experience ensured us a brilliant experience.
