We really liked this tour! The drive up Magic Mountain was really the standout part of the tour. What a crazy road! What a ride! What a view from the top!! Our guide also had some educational materials to explain how the islands we formed. Super interesting and an added bonus I was not expecting. The pineapple plantation was fascinating, and though I did love the Belvedere overlook, it did not compare to Magic Mountain, which you can ONLY get to in a 4x4. I'm glad we booked this tour!

Spiro “Lady in Blue” was an awesome tour guide & 4x4 driver. She is very knowledgeable with Moorea and we love her spirit and love for the island. Our only feedback is that we would like the tour description to be a little more detailed especially with the challenging terrain especially going up Magic Mountain. Otherwise, we throughly enjoyed and saw lot of Moorea. Thanks Spiro!

WONDERFUL EXCURSION with Safari Mario. Our tour guide was Ron and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer guide who was so informative and fun to travel with. I want to start with our thanks to Mario as he went above and beyond to be sure this excursion happened. As it turned out, our cruise ship was not able to come to Moorea from Papeete. We were told on our cruise ship that we would be staying an extra two days in Papeete as we could not safely tender to Moorea. Mario contacted us immediately, changed the time of our tour to accommodate the ferry schedule and then picked us up from the ferry terminal to start our tour which as it turns out was on the complete opposite side of the island from where we would have landed had we been tendered! We heard from other passengers on the ship that their tours expected them to take a taxi to the other side of the island to meet their tour! We were met and picked up as soon as the ferry that he advised us to take docked. This is a small group tour, so there were only 8 of us in our vehicle. This allowed easy access to the sites we stopped at and each was explained in perfect detail. We were able to make stops that the big busses just couldn’t maneuver to, the most spectacular of which was magic mountain where you could have a 360 degree view of the entire island! We also had many other scenic spots along the way and saw how pineapples and vanilla are grown as well as stops for fresh fruit and jams and another stop at the distillery for a delicious alcoholic or non alcoholic sampling of juices and spirits! We can’t thank this tour company and Ron enough for a beautiful day in Moorea and we would definitely give more stars on this review if we could!

It was a fantastic excursion. Our guide took us to everything listed, and she also stopped here and there to show us various plants, surrounding points of interest and answered our questions. Highly recommend. One note...make sure you know the time to meet and VERIFY it the day BEFORE your excursion. For some reason, our time was changed to 9:30am from 12:30pm. Thank goodness we arrived at 10:00am to check out the market...then spotted our name (on a board the guide was holding) for the earlier time. Thankfully, they were still waiting for us. Excellent excursion otherwise.

This trip was incredible. The guide was very well versed in the history and facts of the region. The truck trip up Magic Mountain was exhilarating and once at the top the views were spectacular. The views, the stories, the trip was more than we expected. We would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for wine adventure away from the beaches.

Pick up was very easy. The vans were comfortable but required climbing a few steps. The views of the island are stunning. Our guide was very knowledgeable especially regarding the flora. The drive up magic mountain was exciting and a little nerve-racking. Highly recommended.

We had an awesome trip. It definitely was a 4x4 adventure. Went up some very steep hills that I would never had ventured up myself but the guides were amazing drivers. The views were unbelievable. Totally worth the bumpy ride. Picked us up from the cruise ship tender dock and had us back to the ship in plenty of time. The pineapple distillery was awesome as well with tastings available. Well worth the trip.

We did this tour as a self-booked shore excursion from our cruise ship. Our guide, Ron, was very knowledgeable and enjoyed sharing his knowledge of the area, history and customs. The tour gave us a good overview of the area in the limited time we had ashore. We got to see a lot and learned a lot from Ron. Highly recommend!

great views across moorea, great insight into various aspects of life in the french polynesias.The view from the top of magic mountain was beautiful eventhough the road up was steep & bumpy. The only transport to this magical spot is by 4wd's or ATv's. Take some insect deterent lotion, as some places were prone to them and the local price for lotion was expensive. (like everything in FP). we had a few stops ie cooks bay, belvedere lookout, fruit & jam tasting, a distillery tasting, a pineapple farm, and finally my favourite, the trip up to magic mountain, where the views are trully magic.

The 4×4 safari tour is not for the faint of heart. When we saw tiny vehicles in the distance slowly climbing the treacherous mountainside from our cruise ship, I never imagined it was THIS same tour lol. Our guide (V) was extremely knowledgeable and shared history of the island, its inhabitants and the local fauna. The checkin process was easy as they offered each guest's name and party size on a posted checklist at the meeting point. The highlight (and most terrifying part for us) was the trek to the top of the Magic Mountain lookout. It offers breathtaking 360 degree views of Moorea. While I would not do this tour again out of sheer fright, it was a must do once.

An easy to access tour from the tender drop off, the highlight is the beautiful vantage points from
High points, accessed by some very tiny and bumpy roads. Informative Interaction is limited to when the driver made stops. Otherwise, you are in the back of a pickup in groups of 8, with no interaction during the travel, except with your truck mates and some
Small talk. You do get pretty beat up on the ride and need to hold on tight. There is a bit of hiking at some stops if you fully participate. You don't get to see too much of the island other than the noted tour areas. There was a stop at a rum shop and a smoothie shop.
We've been on a jeep tours before where the driver had a headset and spoke on the journey, keeping the guests attention.

Easy to find tour once off the ship in the terminal area - board with your names. We had Mano as our guide and he speaks English a French. Proper 4x4 truck ride up trails off the main road. View from 'magic mountain' really good - worth the bumpy ride. Visited pineapple fields and Oponu bay. The usual no pressure visit to a local cafe and distillery with free samples. Not allowed to bring any foods back on ship which was a shame. Good four hours well spent.

We had a 12:30 tour booked, and received a message that we would be leaving earlier at 11:30 as our ship was docking earlier. As we were the first tender this was not a problem and was actually better for us. Our driver was still learning English, and did very well with some help from the other driver. We went to the Belvedere lookout, a pineapple plantation then on to a distillery for some local tastings. The samples were really small. Then up to Magic Mountain. The dirt road was VERY rough, but the view from the short climb was worth it. Finished the tour with some tasty local fruits and jams.
