Getting on and off the sailboat was trash in itself. Driver hit another boat with the dingy on our way to the sailboat. Got to the sailboat which looks like it's been through 3 hurricanes. There is absolutely nothing luxurious about this boat. No padding so our butts hurt the entire time. Also, an alarm on the boat kept going off every 20 mins. Had to watch the whales from a far distance and had to use my cell phone to zoom in to see them. I could've done that from my Airbnb. The snacks and alcoholic beverage weren't given to us until 30 mins prior to the end of the excursion.... after 5.5 hrs of starving ... it's time for dinner. The people were nice but for $850 it was a rip off. If you want to watch the whales .... do it with a different company.

Shannon, First of all, we are sorry you did not have a good time on board with us and that it didn’t match your expectations. We are very surprised to read how much of a BAD experience it was for you. It seems that it was not meeting your expectations, so let us clarify what we offer : We propose an adventurous experience of wild animal observation on our 47 Bavaria sailboat. Our boat has an history, she was built in 1994 and has sailed around the world and propably went through more than 3 storms, which is usual for boats that sailed ! However, I do not understand why you consider it in bad shape as it has been well maintained and cleaned as you can see on the pictures in the ad. We asked you several times if you needed something, which you only replied by a glass of water. Reading your comment, you can clearly speak up for yourself. You could have then expressed your needs when we asked you to avoid such a disapointment. The cushions are not proposed during sailing for obvious safety reasons of slippery. Concerning the snack part, it is clearly written on our description that the beverages and snacks are served at the end of the tourLike already said, we asked you several times if you needed something, you never mentioned anything about starving. Our tour begins at 1:30PM which gave you plenty of time to have lunch before our excursion, so your starving mentioned seems to be exagerated. We are lucky to welcome the whales every year around our island. The whales are wild animals and are not in a zoo here. There are rules that protect those animals from being surrounded too close by boats: we need to stay at 100m minimum. We had at several occasions seen the whales (mum and baby) at 100m from the boat, heard a singing humpback whale male, with particular calm and sunny conditions, and an amazing sunset at the end of the tour. You seem to have very high expectations and do not appreciate what the nature is bringing to you. Concerning the price, you have booked a private tour on a 47 sailboat with a captain and a marin biologist just for you for more than 5 hours. We also do propose shared tours. Reading again your comment, I really do not understand what you were expecting: a not moving sofa on the ocean, sitting on top of the whales with a 3 stars michelin meal ? We truly tried to make your experience as nice as possible which clearly was not enough for you. We worked a lot on our description present on the booking page to make sure it gave a good presentation of our offer to avoid surprises, so please, read the descriptions and have a look at the pictures before booking.
