Really so many positives that any issues are not worth talking about. Contacted via WhatsApp several times before the trip with pickup info, including time, the vehicle and driver’s name. Very reassuring for our first trip in Morocco and Marrakesh. Younis, our driver gave us a comfortable and safe drive there and back, whilst Ayoub was an excellent guide, speaking fluent English and French. The visit to the Women’s Collective was very pleasant, with a very informative and friendly host. Plus a nice glass of Atay with some dipping bread, yum. Arrived at the base of the tour in Fatma village, quickly met be our guides; I’m sorry I didn’t catch the name of our mountain guides but they are definitely part human, part goat and are a credit to the tour operators with their excellent knowledge and support. But be under no illusion, the hike from Fatma Village to the main waterfall and then the top is no stroll, with a lot of big steps to make but is hugely rewarding at the end. They do give you little breaks and keep the group together. Plus, the way back is somewhat flatter and a lot less challenging. Lunch at Restaurant Le Noyer was very agreeable, local made bread served before my choice of mushroom omelette for starter, then a mixed grill and chocolate mousse to finish. All very tasty and fair portions. Drinks were extra but at MAD 20 (£1.50) for a tin of fizzy orange, but with the waiter and other staff all on point, you will leave this restaurant well satisfied. To summarise, this tour is keenly priced, with excellent comms during and after booking, before the event day and the overall tour is of a excellent standard. Qualifying what I have just said, I will praise excellent customer service and that’s very much what we had here. Definitely book this. 5 stars.

This tour is what you want to make it. We had a lot of questions about the history of Morocco and Hassan was happy to answer all of my random questions. He took us around the Souk's, and let us know what was authentic Moroccan wares, and what were mass produced. He also asked us from the start what type of items we were looking for and made sure to take us to spots that had those items.

We have been on countless trips via Viator around the world: this one is a Gem & a definite Must Do! You can do this cheaper & in a group but this particular tour can provide a highly unique & memorable lifetime experience. We found this such an authentic & memorable Moroccan adventure, that had so many incredible experiences which we would like to take the time to share with our fellow travellers. Please stay with us through this ‘extended’ review, so that you can get a sense of why we are so impressed! Ismail picked us up on time with a very positive & happy outlook: he clearly loves his work. We chatted freely in English & French while driving along. Our first stop was at a Argan Oil women’s co-op where our host Laima welcomed us: we met some elders who were baking bread & making the oil: WOW! We then sat down for a morning Moroccan snack with mint tea: gorgeous! Even though we couldn’t speak Berber or Arabic we all had a cheerful time together. There was no pressure to buy anything: they were just happy that we had an open mind & took the time to interact with them. Next, Ismail took us to a beautiful stream where an expresso coffee for both of us was delivered to our table, where we enjoyed the moment. At no time throughout the day did we have to reach into our pocket for Moroccan dirham. From there we drove through the first & second of the Atlas Mountains Five valleys. On the third, he stopped the vehicle & invited us to walk the rest of the way to the next valley: here we were introduced to our local guide Yassine. He took us to a local Berber home where we spent time having a wonderful interaction with a family including the farm animals. He also showed us a very old walnut tree, where we ate fresh walnuts. For the next hour we walked up the dirt road chatting with Yassine: he pointed out interesting things & facts along the way. We also interacted with school children. Then we detoured off the road to a local home for lunch: we met the local sisters of Khadija & Aisha who served us a magnificent local meal of cous cous & tagine, plus other bits & pieces, on their rooftop: stunning! Next, we met our driver/guide Ismail and headed off in the vehicle where we enjoyed stunning views of the 4th & 5th valleys & the Atlas Mountains in the foreground. The commentary was fantastic & immersive. He then drove us back to our starting point in Marrakech, completing approximately 10 hrs together. In conclusion, we had great conversations, sharing of information and great day outside of the city of Marrakesh. For us, we rate this as a solid 5 out of 5: we sincerely thank all the individuals we met including the outstanding contribution of our two mentioned guides. What a memorable day! Also, without reservation, we strongly recommend this private tour to our fellow travellers. We will never forget this day!
