I am Simone Vergamini, "Best Sommelier of Tuscany 2023", 3rd place at the Best Sommelier of Italy 2018, 2021 and 2022, and it will be a pleasure to accompany you to discover the best wineries. During the journeys I will tell you the history of the area and its traditions, the vines and the peculiarities of the area. We will visit 2 splendid wineries representative of the Chianti Classico territory and, after touching the vineyards and visiting the cellars, we will taste the wines produced. We will have lunch at a beautiful winery in Panzano in Chianti (FI, after visiting the vineyards and cellars, then in the afternoon we will move to Radda Chianti (SI) or Barberino Val d'Elsa (FI) depending on availability. Enoteca Vanni is the oldest wine shop in the city of Lucca, it was founded in 1965 by the grandfather of the current owner Paolo Petroni. It is a unique place where time seems to slow down and the history of wine mixes with the enveloping atmosphere of our underground cellars. During the time you spend here you will live a unique sensory experience: the tasting guided by the sommelier which includes the tasting of four wines and will take place in the barrel vaulted tasting room, where you will be surrounded by numerous bottles that the cellar houses.

With your private English speaking driver you will stop at the first cellar in the morning. Enjoy the tasting of 4 wines on the “Strada del Vino”, the heart of the Bolgheri Doc area. The second winery is absolutely an excellence of the area, enjoy a 6 courses meal with a tasting of 6 wines in an exclusive location surrounded by vines and silence. Continue your journey visiting the village of Bolgheri.

While in Lucca, tack an easy day trip to the Chianti region onto your itinerary. Your tour leader eliminates the hassle of navigating on your own so that you can take in the sweeping countryside views along the way. After a wine tasting with food pairings at a Chianti vineyard, continue on to the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci. Round-trip transport is included for your convenience.
