Exceptional guide fantastic food and venues
Book without hesitation it is really enjoyable, good food and beautiful restaurants. My guide Sue was so knowledgable and personable that she made it a truly memorable experience. I am not a big meat eater or drinker of spirits so she arranged alternatives for which I’m very grateful. The seaweed cones at the archeological site restaurant were my favourite but the coffee ice cream as a alternative at the chocolate venue was also lovely.

Five star market and cooking class experience
This was a fantastic experience. Five star. From Visiting, the market, which we would probably never have gone to on our own, to the cooking class, which was well orchestrated and lots of fun, it was a great day. Our Guide Kevin explained all of the things at the market and we learned a great deal.
The cooking class was led by chef Karina (with translations by Kevin) was perfectly organized and we learned a lot and had fun. We got to taste so many fruits that we had never heard of, and then cooked quite a number of potatoes, which were fun to taste. We made ceviche, in a traditional Peruvian style, and then a stirfry, influenced by the Chinese in Peru. Had fun with the other people in our group and it was a great day. So glad we booked this. Highly recommend.

A really different, excellent food tour.
I love food tours - walk, history, chat with fellow travelers, city insights, and food - usually fairly predictable, but good food. This food tour was not predictable as Lima food is kind of an unknown aside from ceviche. I think this tour spanned the gamut of everything one could want - crazy exotic fruits, one of the stranger and yet sublime smoothies ever - with just three ingredients, and there was a LOT of food. Joseph the guide was a super nice guy and mega knowledgable. There was on person on this tour from Colombia who dod not speak English and Joseph transitioned so fast between Spanish and English -- this guy was born to be a guide. One recommendation though - offer water too at some of the stops - the drinks were so good, but water is water. Or bring a bottle (maybe I should have). This tour is an A++

The activity is very well...
The activity is very well mapped out! Our group got to explore all around Historic Center while getting to experience some amazing dishes, in places that I could have not found alone. My tour guide was Sheyla and she was absolutely delightful. Her breadth of knowledge about structures and the food that I got to experience that afternoon were truly impressive. Most importantly, she radiated passion for the history and culture of the Peruvian people that made the experience truly worth it. Cannot recommend this experience enough!

Fun way to spend a few hours!
We really enjoyed this food tour! Marcos did a great job leading the tour and connecting with us as travelers. No issues with the meeting point — it was exactly where indicated. So many tastes and restaurants we wouldn’t have found on our own. Empanadas, coffee, unique DELICIOUS fruits, Peruvian chocolate and cacao tea, causa, ceviche, passion fruit mocktail, anticucho and choclo, lomo saltado, Inca Kola, pisco sour, and gelato. Yum! Highlights were different for each member of the group, but my top 3 tastes were the ceviche, the empanada and the unique fruits. We also enjoyed the history shared. Highly recommend this tour if you enjoy trying local food.

Aaron and his friend were excellent guides during our Lima historic sightseeing tour. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and shared fascinating insights about the city’s history and culture, making the experience both enjoyable and informative. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to explore Lima’s historic sites.

Great learning...
Great learning experience. Delicious meal! Helpful to have instructions in both English and Spanish. Everyone was assigned multiple tasks to prepare the meal. Wine available for purchase. Nice to sit down to a cozy, freshly cooked meal with strangers.

Highly recommend
Highly recommend this trip if you want to explore Miraflores and Barranco. Mostly flat and in dedicated bike lanes. Diego was our leader and he did a great job. We did not make it to the hill that others talk about, but we saw the sunset from the cliffs of Lima and had ice cream in Barranco.

Taste all Lima has to offer!
We had a great experience on this tour with Patricia! My husband has a dairy allergy and she made sure to accommodate it at every stop.
We learned SO much and it was a wonderful way to experience the three top neighborhoods of Lima and ensure we got the full Peruvian cuisine experience.
The tour was very well spread out so that you didn't get too full with all the stops and even included a lovely walk and stop at a local art gallery.
Overall, I highly recommend this tour! It was a highlight of our time in Lima.

This was a great...
This was a great experience. The pickup and drop off was great. We arrived at least 45 minutes before the excursion, unfortunately no details of when we would head to the boat was provided. We saw lots of birds and different kinds, including penguins. The views around the islands are amazing. The water was quite cold, but the wet suits helped. The guide joined us in the water and assisted anyone not as comfortable in the water. The sea lions came close but was never threatening, even with the alpha male in the water. It is a speedboat, but it never moved fast, and there is no shade available.

I’m glad that I took this...
I’m glad that I took this food tour, otherwise I would not venture to this non tourist part of town. We got to visit 2 markets , talking about tropical fruits, Peruvian staples and spices, eat like a local. My favorites were the ceviche and lucuma smoothie. Our tour guide, Stephano, was attentive, informative, knowledgeable and funny, making the activities more memorable . Highly recommended.

Fun Time Making Chocolate Bars
Our guide, Anna, was really knowledgeable and personable. The activity is in an Inka market and we had 8 people in our group. Loved making our own chocolate bars and we got to mash cacao beans and make 2 drinks to try. It was a fun and simple activity to do but was a ton of fun!

Long celebrated as the food capital of South America, Lima’s cuisine celebrates Peru’s unique geography and biodiversity. There’s no tastier way to explore Peru’s capital than on a Lima food tour, which helps you overcome the language barrier and try lesser-known dishes in hidden corners of the culinary landscape. Gourmet food tours focus on high-end cuisine, while street food and market excursions showcase a more traditional side of Lima’s food. Whichever you sink your teeth into, you’ll leave smiling and satisfied.
