    This was a great experience in Lima. Daniel was prompt to message us that he was on the way to pick us up. We did pay to be picked up and returned back to the hotel. We were taken to this small but quaint wine shop/tasting room. The sommelier, Phillipe did not speak English but you could definitely tell he was passionate about his job. Daniel did a good job to translate all the info on the wine. There was a variety of cheese and some meats to pair with the wines. We sampled two whites and two reds. Phillipe did also add another red for us to try. It was an interesting evening and we did have a good time. Thank you Daniel for being a good host.

    Wonderful wine tasting of small batch Peruvian Wines

    This is a fun wine tasting of various Peruvian wines. All the wines were great! I would recommend the adventure BUT there really is no Tapas. It is a selection of Peruvian cheeses that are good but really no guidance on how to pare to the wine.

    They never showed up or responded to pick up. We sent a text to ask if pick up was actually at a specific time; it was never responded to. When we called to ask if we were going to be picked up, the phone number didn’t exist.

We completely understand how frustrating it must have been for you, and I’m truly sorry this situation affected your trip. As we explained to you via WhatsApp, your reservation was made today at 2:23 pm. Unfortunately, Viator should stop accepting same-day reservations after 2:00 pm, since we need more time to properly organize each gastronomic experience. On top of that, we did not receive a notification from Viator about your booking, which made it impossible for us to arrange your pick-up and prepare in advance. We take great pride in our service, and as you can see in the reviews, Foodies Perú is recognized among the best food tours in Lima, offering unique culinary experiences such as wine tastings, cooking classes, and walking food tours in Barranco, Miraflores, and the Historic Center. We would love the opportunity to host you properly on another date so you can truly enjoy what we do best: sharing authentic Peruvian gastronomy. Since we were not able to execute the experience as planned, we still tried to assist by sharing recommendations of nearby restaurants close to your hotel and even offered to organize private transportation for your pick-up and return. Once again, I deeply apologize for this misunderstanding, and I appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue improving.

    Great food and wine tour

    This tour was a special experience that seamlessly combined exceptional wines and a memorable culinary adventure. What made this experience even more special was the setting at a unique restaurant. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and paired to enhance the flavors of the wines. It was wonderful to meet the owner and talk to him about his vision for the menu and learn more about his culinary journey.

    A wonderful professional wine and cheese experience!

    Set in a private apartment in Barranco with great views of the Pacific Ocean, this experience was beautifully put together, well thought through and impecably delivered. The wines were interesting examples of the current trends in wine-making in Latin America. A well curated collection that was expertly matched with a variety of cheeses by a professional chef - one of the hosts. The atmosphere created was warm and convivial, to the extent that after a tasting sessions that was much longer than promised, because we were enjoying ourselves so much, the entire group decided to go out locally for dinner togther - and were accompanied by the hosts, who found us a beautiful restraurant and guided our choices for the evening! Having started at 4pm, we finished dinner and were returned to our hotel at about 11pm! Heartily recommend this for people who have an interest in wine and food.
