What are people saying about Lima

Long drive but TOTALLY worth it!
The tour was great! Alvaro and Felix were great guides that were also very attentive to us throughout the trip. The hotel pick up and drop off were easy. The trip to Huacachina wasn’t bad since we had a couple of stops along the way. Huacachina and activities were AMAZING! We had so much fun on the buggies and sandboarding with Jhonny. The trip back is a bit long, but worth the trip. I previously read a review that was helpful to me prior to the trip: Stop 1 - Breakfast (not incl.) Stop 2 - Paracas around 9am for boat ride around Ballestos Island (90 mins) + walking around Paracas until around 11am Stop 3 - Ica at El Huarango around 12:30pm for Piscos + wine (incl.) + lunch (not incl.; about $20 a person, 65/s) Stop 4 - Huacachina around 3pm + sand buggies + sandboarding Around 4:30pm, long ride back to Lima (about 5 hours) - one stop at gas station around 7:30pm for snacks/bathroom Drop-Off around 9:45pm-10pm Highly recommend booking this tour! We had a blast and can’t stop talking about it. I’d only recommend the company to keep the A/C on because we got a little warm for such a long trip. But once again, our guides were great!

Off the beaten path, strongly recommended
The tour was amazing with Franklyn and Hannah as guides. The boat tour to Ballestas islands allow us to see penguins and sea lions in their natural habitat, it was spectacular! The tour inside the Paracas reserve was a nice surprise, not a famous Peruvian spots but definitely worth it. Finally the visit to Casa Hacienda was helpful to dive deep into slavery history and the African-Peruvian culture thanks to Hannah’s explanation. I strongly recommend this full day tour from Lima, hotel pickup and drop off are included while meals are not.

GREAT Experience!
I had an amazing experience on the Huacachina full-day tour! Everything was well organized from start to finish, and the itinerary was the perfect mix of adventure and sightseeing. Huacachina itself is absolutely breathtaking! it’s hard to believe such a beautiful oasis exists in the middle of the desert. The dune buggy ride was thrilling, and sandboarding down the massive dunes was an unforgettable experience. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt safe while still having a great time. Transportation was comfortable, and everything ran on schedule. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Peru. Whether you’re traveling solo, with friends, or with family, it’s an experience you won’t forget. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip!

excellent but too long
Excellent tour, with an outstanding, knowledgeable, and friendly guide. However, the tour was too long - 20 hours (from pick-up at the hotel to returning to the hotel). During the tour, there was a lot of waiting and hurrying (almost running at some places). I would recommend not advertising the tour as a one-day tour but splitting it into two parts, with an overnight stay organised by the travel agency.

Lima’s central location in Peru makes it the ideal base for exploring the surrounding landscapes, comprising rugged coastlines, desert dunes, and snow-capped peaks. Lima day trips save you hours of planning by taking care of tickets, tours, and transport, so you can sit back and soak up the scenery rather than navigating public transport and struggling with a different language. Within day-tripping distance of the capital, you’ll find mystical stone forests, an acid-green desert oasis, and Pacific Ocean islands inhabited by sea lions.
