What are people saying about Krakow

I really liked the...
I really liked the Zakopane & wooden village part of the tour. I am disabled and the areas were very walkable for me, with a cable car to take if you dont want to actually hike the mountain to the top.
It was very tourist-y curated & crowded. But our tour guide gave us suggestions on what to do and where to go to get the best experiences.
All in all, this tour was really well run, but the experience isnt really for people looking for... authentic Polish experiences. Both Zakopane & the hot springs are designed for tourists.

Emotional and humbling
Lots of walking but to walk in the steps of millions of people who were slaughtered by the Nazis was a very humbling sureal experience. The tour guide Mical was so passionate about the history and made the group aware of how umportant history is and the suffering endured by millions of jewish people. So glad I went as although you think you know the story you must see it with your own eyes.

A Real Salty Experience
Wonderful experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience better. You need to pace yourself because you’ll travel down three levels in about to two hours. I don’t recommend this activity if you’re claustrophobic. You’ll travel through some tight spaces. But all in all a wonderful experience.

Looking at the past
This is a walking tour requiring climbing steps and walking down gravel roads and uneven pavement. Believe the information provided that it is hours of walking. I am 78 and was able to do the tour. But was tired afterwards. It is a sad tour but one everyone should take so nothing like this ever happens again.

Wonderful and well organized
Well organized and excellent communication throughout the experience! The tour organizers reached out the day before the trip to arrange the schedule to avoid road closures from a bike race. We wound up leaving Krakow at 6:30am and got to be the first tour of the day in the Salt Mine! An incredible opportunity! That did leave a slightly awkward longer break in the middle of the day when our Salt Mine tour ended at 9:30 but the bus didn't leave to take us to Auschwitz until 11:20 but in the end it was nice to have the opportunity to sit and rest and have lunch and find coffee in town. I packed my own lunch and snacks as I have dietary restrictions but many others enjoyed the prepared lunch offered by the tour driver. Wear sunscreen, good walking shoes, and bring extra water!

Fabulous day!
Excellent day trip. Our tour guide was Peter, we were collected on time from the hotel along with the others on our tour, Peter was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the full experience. All the stops run to schedule and we had exactly the right amount of time at each stop. Zakopane and the surrounding areas were beautiful and I would highly recommend to get a day out of the city.

Great to do with a Tour Company
The tour was seamlessly run and we felt in great hands the whole time. Our van picked us up at 5:40am and transferred us to a larger bus and we arrived at Aushwitz at 7:20a for a 7:40a tour ticket time. The bus held about 20 passengers and was tight. My husband and I are average American size and were fine, but caution if very tall or on the bigger side. Tour for Aushwitz was about 2 hours, then about a 15 min break and drive to Birkenau which was 45 min. Afterwards we had a 40 min break where you could purchase food or some people had it included in price (we did not). Then a 1.5 hour drive to the Salt mines where I think everyone napped! You get to drive most of the time through suburbs which is cool to see. We arrived at the Salt Mines at 1:10p, but tour time wasn’t until 2p. They also have lots of food, ice cream and places to sit, albeit very hot. Salt mine tour was excellent and cool to see. The main tour took about 2 hours, but then there was an optional museum tour which was 45 more min. Everyone but 2 people in our tour decided against it, but we had to wait for them on the bus which was not ideal. Got back to Krakow at about 5:30p and had to walk about 15 min back to our hotel. Overall it felt so good to be in the care of the Mr. Shuttle driver. He knew where to go, what to do, where the bathrooms were.

Great Tour Guide
The transport bus didn’t pick up near my hotel. I had to walk about 2 miles in the heat to catch the bus.
However the bus driver was awesome and the tour guide Anna were very nice and helpful. Our guide was absolutely amazing! She has absolutely provided a 5star tour experience.

Amazing tour amazing fuide
Evelyn is our guide was amazing. Not only knowledgeable but a great sense or humor! We had a child in our group who was quite naughty and not minding the rules and she was excellent in gently managing this professionally while maintaining a friendly tone and making sure that the salt mine remained save. Concerning the salt mine this is an amazing place that everybody should visit if they come to the city it is well worth the admission

Bridget the Tour Guide
Visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau was one of the most moving and emotional experiences I’ve ever had. It’s a place that everyone should visit at least once to truly understand the scale of the atrocities that took place and to honour the memory of those who suffered.
Our guide, Bridget, was exceptional. She was incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and respectful throughout the tour. She shared the history in such a powerful and engaging way, helping us understand not just the facts, but the human stories behind them. Her guidance made the experience even more meaningful, and she answered every question with care and sensitivity.
Although it was a deeply heartbreaking visit, I’m grateful to have experienced it. It is something that will stay with me forever, and I cannot recommend this tour and Bridget highly enough.

Unforgettably amazing!
The highlight of our trip to Krakow. Our tour guide Mirek, and driver Lukas were amazing. Communication prior to the trip was fantastic and pick up was on time. We were picked up at half 8, and were back at our hotel by 8pm. It’s a long day, but totally worth it, highly recommend!

Such an amazing and humbling experience.
Such an amazing and humbling experience.
Pick up from and back to the door of your hotel in a very comfortable van with full air conditioning (and heating as we all got soaked in the storm and had wet clothes on the return journey). Friendly but private excursion, maximum of 8 people in the van, which makes it more of a personal experience.
Our tour guide at the memorial was exceptionally knowledgeable and really brought another layer to the experience.
Only slight snag is we booked a tour for 12:00 but were told it would be a 1pm pick up but we did book at the very last minute (night before) so this could be the reason why.
I would absolutely recommend this to everyone visiting this area!

With its medieval architecture, thriving nightlife, and storied past, Krakow often feels like a contradiction. Krakow tours help you understand the city's complex, vibrant soul. Join an expert guide to hear local history on a tour of the UNESCO-listed Old Town and Wawel Castle, learn more about the darker spans of history on a tour of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, or live it up while bar-hopping in Krakow’s hottest neighborhoods. No matter what you choose, Krakow tours can help you see the city through a new lens.
