As you drive along the south shore of Iceland, your journey includes visits to beautiful waterfalls like Seljalandsfoss, where you can walk behind the cascading water, and the stunning Skógafoss, towering at 60 meters high. Also, make sure to explore the remarkable Reynisfjara Beach, renowned for its powerful waves, unusual basalt columns, and dramatic sea stacks. We'll start the day with a visit to Raufarhólshellir, more commonly known as The Lava Tunnel, one of Iceland's longest lava tubes. The formations and colours inside the 5200-year-old lava cave are breathtaking. We then visit the Mars-like landscape of Krýsuvík with its steam vents and bubbling mud-pots. Afterward, continuing on to the nearby Gunnuhver geyser and Reykjanesviti lighthouse. Now for the true highlight, we come to Blue Lagoon to wind down in the relaxing blue waters after a day of exploring. Included in your premium entry to the Blue Lagoon is their world renowned silica mud mask, two drinks of your choice at the swim up bar and use of a towel and bathrobe.

The Westman Islands, is a volcanic island archipelago. The natural beauty, wildlife and history will astound everyone who visits. The main island, Heimaey, was almost destroyed by a volcanic eruption in 1973, resulting in a full town evacuation. From here, you can see the lava and new section of the island that was created in 1973. We will also take the time to make the short hike to the top of Eldfell volcanic crater, the source of this devastating eruption. The Westman Islands is home to some of our favorite restaurants. We'll have lunch at GOTT (or equivalent), whose cozy and delightful restaurant uses only fresh, authentic ingredients, with lunch included in the tour price. After lunch, we have more time to explore the islands. With your Hidden Iceland guide, you can head to the southern side of Heimaey to explore the cliffs, farms and go on a short walk in the search of puffins. In summer, the Westman Islands is one of the best places in Iceland to view Puffins.
