Awesome sunset and stargazing

This experience was truly amazing! The tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable about Mauna Kea and its culture. When we got closer to the top, they even provided jackets and ski pants to shield us from the cold and gave out hot chocolate! And the stargazing was truly one of the most magical experiences of our lives. Shoutout to James for being our awesome guide!

Awesome

Experiencing the Napali Coast by boat is spectacular and is an awesome way to see its grandeur and size. It was an approximate 4 hour tour the Captain mentioning the calm weather that blessed us that day. We sailed out of the port in Eleele and headed North along the coastline. Our first encounter was a pod of dolphins that we ran along side. The Captain shared his knowledge of these creatures and the mates pointed out the babies swimming along side their mothers. Shortly afterwards we were back on course. Along the ride the Captain pointed out landmarks, the use of the land and described the people whom lived upon it. Arriving at the Napali Coast and viewing it from the sea was truly amazing. Aboard the Amelia K and listening to the Captain point out and describe its structure put meaning to its’ existence. Before heading back the Captain picked a spot for swimming and lunch. On the way back we sailed along side the dolphins again before returning to the marina. It was a great day.

Super fantastic awesome tour!!

We had Josh as our tour guide, and he was all around awesome. He had a great deal of knowledge about Hilo and the volcano having grown up in the region and also having worked at the Volcano National Park previously. He knew all the best spots to take us for both the lava viewing (got very lucky to have the volcano vent go active on our tour day; day before and after there was no lava flowing). The Rainbow Falls were a nice surprise - very beautiful there! Great photo opportunities there on your first stop. The last stop was the candy shop, which was exceptionally delicious and very artisan. Highly recommend the shortbread cookies and the Ice Cream Pie w/chocolate crust. All in all was a fantastic experience that we will never forget. Mahalo Josh & Jill.

Incredible and Inspiring Journey

Our tour guide, Kevin, was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. Every stop along the way to Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park was amazing—from the Kona coffee tasting and the bakery to the beautiful black sand beach, scenic overlooks, and finally the National Park itself. Kevin went above and beyond to share fascinating facts and local history throughout the tour, making each stop even more meaningful. Exploring the lava cave and walking through the lava tubes were unforgettable experiences. This tour was well organized, informative, and truly one of the highlights of our trip. We highly recommend it, especially if you have Kevin as your guide!

Stars and Galaxies for July 4th week

Second time doing this tour and there will be a third, fourth and fifth. Seeing the galaxies and constellations from Mauna Kea will never get old. You literally drive through clouds ro get there. Once acclimated at 9,000 feet the guide takes you all the way to the top (over 14,000 feet) to watch the sunset. It's otherworldly to be above the clouds, watching the suns set. Then, the guide takes you back to 9,000 feet and breaks the telescopes out so you can see the constellations. This is an experience that will never get old, ans you will always learn something new.

Wailea falls

Was an amazing tour, Sam our tour guide was great n gave us tips. Wailea falls had an amazing waterfall. The walk thru the garden was filled with beautiful scenery. The food there was also very good for the price. Waygu burgers n Kaluha pork were delicious. My only part was the kayaking, the man in charge was very grumpy? Maybe had a bad day or fed up with tourist? All in all Surf Tours did ab amazing job.

Everything was exceptionally well organized, from the early morning pickup and logistics to the sunrise experience itself. Watching the sunrise at Haleakalā was absolutely unforgettable, and having such a great team made it even better. If you’re visiting Maui, this is an absolute must-do. I can’t recommend Valley Isle Excursions enough!

Book the flight!

The best experience, almost had to cancel because of the weather early AM but the team was accommodating and told me that I could wait and do a flight later in the day. Worth every penny, sights you can only see by helicopter. Our pilot was amazing, very knowledgeable about the island. Smooth ride besides alittle bumps here and there from the wind (to be expected). Got proposed to after the helicopter and an unforgettable experience. If you're thinking about booking, do it!

Great experience!

It was a great experience, the buses where better than those vans the other tours usually put you in, and Salesi was a great tour guide, photographer, historian, friend, and cousin. The lunch at Hana Farms was better than expected! And when the tire went flat, Salesi went up and down to fix the situation, within two hours we were back in the road and still he managed to take to a one last spot.
