The most incredible hike! I've done a fair few big hikes in my time and this was up there with the best! I can't recommend enough how much you need to do this trip!!! Our guide was Pedro, he was friendly, professional and an overall great guy. You get plenty of time for the walk itself and the transfers were smooth and easy.

Horst (sorry if not spelled right!) and Fransisco were great guides. Horst knew everything you could possibly think to ask him and was so passionate about the animals. I think he explained in detail about everything we saw in about 5 !? Languages. I am quite nervous on water but I felt really safe and secure on the tour, especially because the guide was so knowledgable about the animals. It was such a great tour and experience. Thank you so much!

Perfect from start to finish! Friendly & helpful guide, safe driver and bonus of a short stop in Santana on the way back. I had previously attempted this hike solo and panicked after experiencing vertigo so rebooked with a guide for peace of mind. He was very kind and reassuring and I was able to complete the entire hike this time with my husband. Highly recommend this well organised tour- the views are breathtaking!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Madeira! Our guide, Luis, was fantastic. He was incredibly friendly, fun to talk to, and had an impressive knowledge of Madeira’s history, culture, and natural beauty. Every stop came with interesting stories and insights that made us appreciate the island even more. If you’re visiting Madeira and want an easy, enjoyable way to see the island while learning about its history and culture, I can’t recommend this tour enough. The scenery is spectacular, the experience is completely stress-free, and Luis made the day even more memorable. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Madeira!

This trip was a last minute decision (to avoid a football match) for mother and son. We were met at our hotel by Luis who gave us a personal tour with a mix of coast and forest views. He was a true gentleman and was an encyclopedia of information on Madeira past and present. We toured ports, view points, picnic and forest areas, a place for coffee and poncha before a fast run on the motorway back. I made my decision to book after an earlier review said don't hesitate in making a reservation. It was the best advice and I echo the message..... go on, book now. You really will enjoy it😀

My girlfriend and I had an incredible tour of the western part of Madeira with Miguel. We were lucky enough to be the only guests, which turned the day into a fantastic private experience. Miguel is not just a knowledgeable guide but also a great person to talk to. We chatted about everything – from the island's history to general life topics – making the time between stops fly by. He was incredibly flexible, offering us alternative stops based on our interests and giving us plenty of time at every location without rushing. Could not recommend this experience any more! A fantastic tour of the island, stopping at all of the hot spots. Our driver was so friendly and easy to chat to - very knowledgeable about the island, I learnt a lot! There’s no better way to explore Madeira than on a jeep, the off-roading was so fun! A real highlight of my trip!

Great communication from On Tales up through the morning of the cruise. Had about ten people on the boat during our 10:30 expedition - everybody fit more than comfortably. Beatriz and Bruno were friendly, knowledgeable and skilled and were very up front with the days conditions and expected sightings. Cruised off Calheta for a while chasing a few dolphins which we managed to see, although they were feeding at the time and not in a bigger school. Lovely ride across long, gentle waves along the scenic south coast. Stop near Porta Do Sol for some swimming and the place lived up to its name with the sun in full effect. Refreshments during the cruise and full access to all areas of the boat. Even with minimal dolphin and whale activity it was an exceptional day on the water. Highly recommended especially if you prefer a smaller group setting than the larger tourist boats!
