Can’t control the weather

Unfortunately the thick cloud cover at Pico do Arieiro meant zero visibility. Our guide, Sofia, suggested we find another viewpoint lower down. We watched a beautiful sunrise over the sea. Obviously we were disappointed not to have the Mountain view but our guide ensured it wasn’t a total failure.

Excellent experience

Excellent experience - if you just want a pick up to take you to PR1/PR3 then this is for you. Our driver picked us up with plenty of time to get to Pico do Arieiro. We arrived at dark so we could see the whole sunrise. We were given about 3 hours to watch the sunrise and complete PR1. The whole experience was smooth. We would definitely recommend.
