Perfect night

Toni was great! He took it very seriously to find us the best spots for the northern lights and it did not disappoint. We had three great spots one that was exceptionally better than others. We were gone a total of about four hours, and it was very chilly so dress warm and bring water. If I ever had the opportunity to use this company or Toni again I definitely would!

Great guide - hot chocolate Aurora sighting

This is a very easy way to go searching for the Northern Lights. The office is easy to find, our guide Juliette was very nice and was a safe driver. She took us to 2 spots and we settled at one with a wide open view on a frozen lakeside where we were fortunate to see the Aurora. She shared some insights on how the Auroras are formed and what to look for when tracking them. We had hot chocolate and stood there for about 90 minutes where she took some pictures of each group with the lights overhead in the sky. We are looking forward to getting our pictures emailed and would definitely recommend this trip. Our van had 8 guests so it was a good size group and the seats were comfortable and our trip was warm. A good way to search safely - thanks for a great evening!

There was a mixup with my booking being scheduled for the next day instead of the date I booked and luckily, after getting in touch with viator who helped to contact with the operator, we managed to go on the date booked and luckily we did because the NL for that night was amazing! Rasmus, our tour guide brought us out to a very good spot and took awesome pictures for our small tour of 8 people. Because of the small capacity, we were able to go to take many photos to our hearts content where rasmus was very pro-active. Cookies and drinks were provided. Highly recommend!

Family friendly Light Hunt

Our first time in rovaniemi and with a seven year old in tow, we wanted a ‘hunt’ that was going to work for all of us and this really hit the nail on the head. First off, we didn’t see the lights and yet my daughter had a brilliant time. The fact a cottage is available to pop in and out was perfect and meant if we got cold, we could take 5mins inside with a tea. While waiting for the clouds to hopefully clear, there is an ice slide which my daughter entertained herself with. Top this off with grilled sausage and marshmallows and my daughter barely noticed the lights did not appear! We all had a fantastic evening and it was just nice to spend time together. I haven’t even mentioned the excellent pick-up (guide was in reception and already had a kids booster seat in vehicle despite not requesting), the location of the cottage at the edge of a frozen lake (magical!) and the guide doing everything possible to find a glimmer of the lights with constant high resolution photography just added incredibly to the experience!

Long tour but it was memorable

We had to go all the way to Sweden to see the lights but our guide knew what he was doing and tried so hard to find them and did. Were rewarded with a nice show and he took some really great photos. Only downside was that we got stuck in a ditch coming back requiring assistance to be pulled out. This made it a long tour, not returning back till 9am. Probably just need some better policies to help when something like this happens.

Solo traveller

A bit chaotic at the office before I set off. I was amazed at the number of people on the tour. I was on coach 7 which was a 55 seater and it was completely full. We eventually found the Northern Lights after about 2 hours driving north with the driver going down country lanes to the side of a river which meant he had to reverse about 1 kilometre to get back to the main road. The hot drinks were given out on the coach before we left to come back. Overall, we saw the lights which was the object so cannot complain too much. Juan and SK, the guides, were very helpful and friendly.

Exceeded all expectations

Amazing! We were a group of 4 not really expecting much from this but this experience was probably our favorite part of Rovaniemi. We traveled during some of their coldest temperatures and surprisingly were not cold during our float. The suits kept us dry/warm, the people kept us informed/feeling safe, and just before we were packing up to leave from our cookies/juice, the auroras appeared and they took their time to explain and allowed us to experience this magical event. If you have any doubts, please don’t and book this tour!
