What are people saying about Fez

Great tour with amazing historical monuments
Mohamed Abdoul was a great tour guide. His experience and knowledge of Fes was fantastic.
One thing to note, going from the medina to some other areas requires a taxi, so be prepared to pay for the extra transport.
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and were amazed by the medina and all its history.

My Driver Ahmed is very...
My Driver Ahmed is very friendly and gives a lot of local information about fes and morocco along the trip. And his driving skills is very stable and I appreciated it. The tour guide in Meknes that we joined is very professional too. I enjoyed the trip very much.

Insightful, Flexible, and Honest Tour of the Fez Medina
We spent two days touring the Fez medina with Ahmed, and we’re glad we did. He’s kind, polite, flexible, and full of fun facts about life in Morocco — everything from how people live in the medina to the realities of work, family, and daily routines. He shared pieces of his own story as well, which made the experience feel more personal and grounded.
Ahmed is an excellent navigator of the medina’s complexity. He gave us confidence to explore on our own later, and he answered every question we threw at him — cultural, historical, religious, practical. He never rushed us, and he adjusted the pace and route based on what we were interested in.
A few things future travelers should know, not about Ahmed specifically but about how guiding works in Fez:
You will be taken into some shops. This is standard practice for all guides in Morocco — there’s a commission system, and it’s part of the ecosystem. If you’re not interested in fabrics, rugs, leather, or lamps, just say so. Ahmed is very respectful when you’re clear about your preferences.
If you are interested in buying something, tell him. He can help you negotiate, and you should never accept the first price. Walking out is normal; it’s part of the dance.
Remember you’re not obligated to buy anything. Think of it as an educational stop unless you decide otherwise. We did learn a lot about fabrics, rugs, and leather and we appreciated that.
If you want a tour focused purely on history, architecture, religion, or photography — say it upfront. Ahmed will tailor the day to you as best he can.
What we appreciated most was Ahmed’s openness. He talked about his life, his hopes, his family, and the realities of living in the medina. Those conversations were some of the most memorable parts of our time in Fez.
Overall, Ahmed is a thoughtful and knowledgeable guide, and spending two days with him enriched our trip. Go in with a sense of curiosity, be clear about what you want to see (and what you don’t), and you’ll have a great experience. We originally just booked one day with Ahmed but liked him so much we added a second day. Our visit to Fez was really enhanced by the time we spent with Ahmed. Thank you Ahmed!

Fully customizable tour
We were able to fully customized this trip throughout the day. It was our preference to go directly from Fes to Volubilus early in the day to avoid the tour buses and the heat. Our driver, Mohammad was very informative throughout the day and chose a wonderful place for lunch.

Delicious Food Experience
This was the best meal I had in fes, by far!! If I could do this experience every day, I would not hesitate. The food was fresh and we were able to do step by step cooking. If we wanted to adjust the flavors we could. All the instructors felt like family by the end of the class. This was an incredible highlight of my trip!!

Great trip to the blue city
I had the absolute best time in Chefchaouen. Our driver Said was very professional and knew the roads very well. Our guide Abdelhadi was very nice and made sure everyone made it back to the meeting spot on time and communicated well throughout the trip. 10/10 would recommend this tour company!

Best Chefchaouen trip in Morocco!
I had an amazing experience visiting the Blue City of Chefchaouen with Moha. He was more than just a driver, he was a wonderful guide and quickly became a friend. Throughout the journey, he kept us entertained with music, singing, and jokes, making the entire ride fun and memorable. His positive energy and genuine care for his guests truly stood out.
Thanks to Moha, this trip became one of the highlights of my time in Morocco. I highly recommend booking your Chefchaouen excursion with him if you’re looking for a fun, professional, and unforgettable experience. Please ask for him when you book!!

The class itself was...
The class itself was great! We enjoyed the experience very much. However, our reservation said that pick up from our lodging was included but we were told that it’s not included. So at the last minute we had to figure out transportation. The taxi driver did not know the area where the cooking class was and left us at the bottom of the hill. We had to walk uphill quite a distance. Then the cooking class location had several flights of stairs.

Great transport and exploring on our own
It was a lovely day trip to the blue city, beautiful destination great for photography.
Our driver Labhar was great, delivered us on time and with regular breaks. Also fun to talk to.
We didn't take the local guide when reaching the blue city as wanted more time on our own to explore. So the trip was mainly for the transport which did a great job.
Overall a great experience!

Interesting and safe
This Medina is another world. Kamal was a lovely gentle guide. I felt we were getting good info. He was obviously well known throughout. We did stop at a few places and obviously encouraged to shop by those places but never pressured, except at the tannery. That felt quite pressured. This was exceptional value and we had a lovely small group of 5. Would be concerned with a massive group due to some of the crowded areas. You would spend ages waiting for people.

Long drive but worth it.
The city of Chefchaouen is far from Fez. It takes multiple hours each way to get there, and the roads are safe but have many twists and turns. You drive through many small villages and remote areas but it is a beautiful sight. Definitely recommend a private driver as he made us feel safe and we got to spend as much time as we wanted in Chefchaouen. Recommend leaving early as it can get dark on the drive home. The blue city itself is beautiful. There's not much else to do there, but it's worth going for the pictures. There are a lot of locals trying to be guides. It is preferable to go with a guide, or you can choose to explore on your own. If you're going alone, be aware that anyone who offers to take your picture or wants to show you around will likely expect payment or ask for money. This trip DOES NOT come with a tour guide, so be prepared to find one or plan for one separately.

Driver waited while we got through immigration and customs
Our flight got in very late and then it took over an hour to get through immigration and customs. We really appreciated that our driver waited all that time for us. Once we our bags, it was a seamless process to find our driver who was holding a piece of paper with our name on it. This was great to not have to worry about getting a taxi so late at night in a new city where we don't speak the language.
