Itinerary

Start with 8am pickup at your hotel in Fez, or request a different departure time while booking, and leave the city in a comfortable vehicle with a private driver. Enjoy views of the Rif Mountain scenery during the 123-mile (198-km) trip from Fez to Chefchaouen.

Upon arrival in the city, you’ll have roughly five hours to explore on your own, and your driver can offer tips on the best places to visit, eat, and see.

Follow winding streets through the heart of the medina, or old city, and browse for unique souvenirs and handicrafts in local shops. Stop into Chefchaouen’s main square and sit down at the edge of the Ras Elma River that flows through the old city. Listen to the unique blend of Spanish and French spoken in the streets here, and enjoy the sound of the call to prayer from Chefchaouen’s historic mosque. Meet up with your driver in the late afternoon for the return trip to Fez, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel at roughly 8pm.

Magical City

Chefchouen is a beautiful and magical city that is full of history. The city is literally blue. Our tour guide Abdul who is a native of the city is s knowledgeable and his narration is supported by data/facts. The road to Chefchouen is winding and at that time, slippery due to the rains. We had to request our driver to slowdown a bit and avoid overtaking.

The trip is worth it, but...

THE TRIP IS WORTH IT, BUT IT'S A LONG WAY. They stop three times on the way for tourist stops (with shops, people or taking pictures...) but the town is beautifuls and you can visit the medina in few hours.

A great drive -- well worth it

Our driver, Mohammed, was a very pleasant and knowledgeable person, not to mention a safe and confident driver. He stopped several times on our way to get beautiful photos at vistas. I must admit that my travel companion and I were expecting more of a tour, with a guide, experience with more explanations during the drive--as the title of this experience, "local expert" had us thinking--but luckily we were ready with questions ourselves and our driver was more than ready and eager to answer. The van was comfortable as well. In our estimation, taking advantage of this experience is well worth it, as getting from Fez to Chefchaouen via other means of transport such as a bus or shared taxi can be very dicey and hard to navigate.

El servicio es muy bueno. OMAR el guía habla muy fluido y bien Español e Inglés, amable y muy atento siempre. SOFIAN el conductor muy profesional y amable. Visitar Chefchauen es una muy buena elección. Y el tiempo dedicado a la visita del pueblo es bastante más amplio que en otras ofertas que consultamos. Nos recogieron al lado del Riad donde nos alojamos. Lo cual es muy adecuado. El autobús muy cómodo y limpio. Lo recomendamos Excelente atención y profesionalidad
