Great day trip to Chefchaouen. Mohammed picked us up from the hotel and shared insights about things we saw along the way. Mohammed was very considerate about our breaks, making sure to stop at clean spots where we could enjoy a light snack/ tea/ coffee. He gave us some good suggestions on how to spend our time in Chefchaouen. Highly recommend this day trip. We were looked after really well!!

Safe but unpleasant

The driver of this tour was a nice man. He drove me safely to Chefchaouen and back to Fes. The duration of the drive was approximately 3.5-4 hours each way. It would have been a quicker journey, but there were tons of police checks throughout the path that forces everyone to drive very slowly as you approach each check point. I only paid for the transportation option. I did not need an organized guide while in Chefchaouen because I booked a photoshoot with another vendor. There were a few things about the experience that I didn't like. And unfortunately, I have to give this review a 2-star rating. I was a solo, female traveler. The driver (who is pictured on the cover photo for this excursion) picked me up in Fes. At the start of our trip, he wanted to play music as journey entertainment. I'm okay with music. However, his choice of music was BB King or many songs from Motown Records. He was blasting the music in my ear the entire time. And there were many moments of slow driving (not related to police check points) because he was too busy being a radio DJ. I asked him two times (going to Chefchaouen) to please adjust the volume because it was too loud. He did not. I asked him to adjust the volume on the way back to Fes. He did not. It wasn't until I pulled out earplugs to put into my ear that he saw my discomfort and turned the music down. I'm unsure if there was a language barrier or he wanted to do what he wanted to do. But I was extremely uncomfortable during the trip and was more than ready to reach my destination. As mentioned, the driver was a nice man. But I didn't feel like he was paying attention to what I was asking or blatantly disregarded what I was asking.

Day trip to the Blue City

Pedro was professional and on schedule. We stopped at a lake overlook and also a restaurant on the way. Was given up to 4 hours in Chefchaouen, the right amount of them to get a taste of the blue city. Just plan that it is a solid 4 hour drive, each direction, with traffic and stops from Fez. Pedro was very nice and also offered us transportation to the airport later in the week.

Nice drive to Chefchaouen with knowledgeable and safe driver, Mohammed. Mohammed picked us up on time and was flexible in making sure that the day was suited to our needs. Thanks to him, made the best use of our time by highlighting the most important sites and even taking pictures. Recommended a great place for lunch that was very reasonably priced and provided a rooftop view of the city. Would definitely recommend using Mohammed.

Mohammed was onze chauffeur van Fez naar Chefchaouen. Hij was erg vriendelijk. In de 5 uur durende reis naar Chefchaouen heeft hij ons allerlei leuke feitjes verteld. Hij was gezellig, geduldig en stopte onderweg een aantal keer zodat we foto’s konden maken of even onze benen konden strekken. Zijn busje was ruim en schoon. Bij aankomst in Fez heeft hij ons nog even langs het mooiste uitkijkpunt van de stad gebracht. 10/10!
