This Medina is another world. Kamal was a lovely gentle guide. I felt we were getting good info. He was obviously well known throughout. We did stop at a few places and obviously encouraged to shop by those places but never pressured, except at the tannery. That felt quite pressured. This was exceptional value and we had a lovely small group of 5. Would be concerned with a massive group due to some of the crowded areas. You would spend ages waiting for people.

Mostafa was an excellent guide through the medina. I was lucky to be the only person with him so we had a great conversation while exploring the medina. Mostafa is enthusiastic and knows the medina and the people who live and work there. I could not have had a better experience.

I can't say enough about my guide Jamal. He is one of the best I've had anywhere. He was very attentive and went out of his way to show me Fes and explain the history. His choice of shops were high quality. Will tell all my friends about him

a miscommunication between the guide and the agency which led to the delay in the start. the whole tour was rather awkward and had a lot of cells pitches. I did not connect with the guide and the Trojans in the guide did not really handle the feed back very well

It was not guided at all. I just walked around with old guy and made me stopped by his friends’ shops.. also made me take photo of several musks even I don’t want to take.. also he hold my arm so many times which is really rude in my country so I was scared. it took 2.5 hours and felt like I was just forced to join old guys’ walking…

Mohammed was the best tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, kind and gave us enough time to take pictures and see around. If it wasn’t for him we’d be very lost, he made the trip to Fes very smooth and easy. He even helped me out sort out an issue I had with a flat tire.

We had the pleasure of experiencing the Medina with Kamal, and he is THE BEST!! He is such a knowledgeable, warm, fun, and mannered gentleman, and filled our tour with so much joy. In addition to all the cultural and historical background he shared, he’s also a pretty wise and genuine guy that we loved spending time with. There was clear communication of expectations and schedule, and he made it clear to us that in any of the 3 types of artisans workshops he took us to there is absolutely no pressure to buy anything (his words: “if you buys something, you make them happy; if you don’t buy anything, you make them happy with your visit”). He even helped us haggle and got us a good price within our budget! Kamal did just above and beyond for us, and we’d 10/10 recommend him!!

Felt like we were just being shuttled from tourist scam to tourist scam with all the other foreigners. Our tour guide was also sick and had to stop every 5 minutes. He also asked if we wanted lunch and we said we just wanted a snack then proceeded to force us to eat at a giant sit down restaurant where we couldn’t pick what we wanted and weren’t told prices beforehand. We thought this was going to be a tour of the authentic/hidden parts of Fes with some explanation of the history but were seriously disappointed. Wish we had just read up on the history bits beforehand and walked on our own.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and through in his explanation of the sites in the Medina. He is local to the area so he knew the ins and outs but also, it seems, everyone that we came across. We received a lot of information and history so it was a good experience, however, the upselling locations were almost more than the historical sites. We had to say several times and somewhat forcefully that we wanted to continue on to the cultural spots on the tour and not stop to smell oils or see cosmetics. We never did make it to Bab Agnaou. I understand that the upselling is just part of these tours but it took too much time. Overall, definitely worth the experience, especially for the price, but when something is inexpensive, it's because you are the product.

A knowledgeable guide to bring us on the winding alleys of the medina was a great experience. Stopped at key artisan shops to admire and buy local products. Our guide waited patiently for us at every stop without complaint.

We had an excellent experience ! Our tour guide Mostafa was the best, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable !! He brought us to all the right places and we never felt rushed or pressured throughout the entire tour ! He really customized the tour to our needs ! It is impossible to find your way in the medina without an experienced tour guide ! We highly recommend !

Our original tour guide was sick, but a new tour guide was able to give us a tour of the city, and it was probably for the best because Fouzia is a gem. She is so friendly and has friends all over the city who she greeted during our tour, and she asked what we wanted to see and then customized the tour for us. She also gave us an hour to do lunch, and didn't leave us when we took a very long time at the tanneries, and dropped us off near our riad. Her patience and liveliness was so appreciated!

Our Tourguide was amazing. He showed us arround the city and we could ask him any question. We visited a tannery, a pharmacy, lamp production, fabric production where we could get a look at the koran school from a rooftop. It was a very nice day and we can really recommend the tour.
The only feedback we would have ist that the stay in the pharmacy was a little to long for us. The man over there explained a lot interesting things but it would be better if it´s not so long.

Highly recommend this trip but better to do this by car so ask your guide beforehand as it can get a bit hot. Also, definitely ask to visit borj nord and borj sud for beautiful panoramic views of the city!
