Itinerary
Book a private tour or shared-group tour option and meet your driver at your hotel or another Fez location–the included return transportation saves you the hassle of cabs, buses, or self-drive.
Settle into your air-conditioned vehicle and admire the scenery as you travel into Morocco’s Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen, whose old town (medina) is dubbed the ‘Blue City’ for its blue-painted houses.
On arrival, you’ll have time to absorb this beautiful town independently and enjoy a walking tour with a local guide (the latter may depend on group size and chosen tour option). Stroll the blue cobbled lanes, view the Grand Mosque and 15th-century walled Kasbah with its Ethnographic Museum, browse the handicraft shops, and enjoy the cafes and eateries (own expense) around the main Plaza Uta El Hammam.
After roughly three hours or more in Chefchaouen, return to Fez where your tour ends back at the starting point.

So my review is not only for the Chefchouen tour but all the other tours that I took with this company. Basically when I booked the Chefchouen tour one of the representative of this company reached out to me and asked me where else I am planning to visit in Morocco and once I told them my plans they sold me bunch of other tours, most of the tours was sold in more expensive prices then they are supposed to be even after selling me directly without any agency in between, so here is a breakdown and the reviews of each of the tours.
- Chefchouen: this was a fun tour, our driver was very interactive and we had a great group and all of us became friends. Chefchouen itself is very touristy mountain town, no point in staying there for a night and day trip from fez or Tanger should be perfect, I would give this tour a 4 star.
- Tanger half day tour : This tour cost $60 which was a little more than what it should be. The tour was good, the driver didn’t showed the American legation museum and grand socco which was in the list. I would rate it a 3.5 star.
- 3 day desert tour from Fez to Marrakesh : This was a good tour but lots of driving. There was only stop in atlas mountain, in the tour description it said there will be several stops. Also there were lots of good scenic points in the Atlas Mountains and no stops was given. I would give this tour a 3.5 star.
- Dinner and culture show in Fes : This one costed $45, again overpriced. The dinner and show was good with pick up and drop off. 4 star.
- 1 day Marrakesh sightseeing : This was the worst of all the tour and I will give a 1 star, it costed $100. You will get the same tour in $30. The driver was not in time, have, not at all guided, he was just driving around it was an absolutely waste of time. At the second half of the day a guide showed up and started showing me the Medina which I can do it by myself, nothing that was planned he was not following until I insisted him to.
The communication is good from the company and they don’t do any hotel pick up and drop off which they mentioned in the description.

The van was old and extremely uncomfortable, with no air conditioning, which made the journey exhausting.
More concerning, the driver was using WhatsApp while driving, which felt unsafe and unprofessional.
Once we arrived in Chefchaouen, the experience didn’t improve. The tour guide provided little to no information about the destination and did not speak English, making it difficult to understand anything or engage with the tour.
Overall, I would not recommend this tour due to the poor conditions, lack of safety and bad guide.

The excursion to Fes was great. Our guide Muha Buzga was right on time and took us safely on our drive. Our group spoked different languages but that wasn’t a problem him.

The road journey from Fez to Chefchaouen is very beautiful. We had a good experience on this trip. The only thing we had a bit of trouble with on the way back was the transport car's AC, which wasn't working well. The car was pretty hot for the entire 4 hours of the journey and that made our return pretty troubled.

Tour guide was super easy and was so much fun to be around. City tour was short and easy and still gave us time to explore on our own!

I was pleased with my driver, Mohcine, and he did a great job of picking me up in Fez to begin journey. He was attentive to my needs on the multi-hour journey and made rest stops as needed.
I enjoyed my time in Chefchaouen and it I had to do it over again I would have stayed a couple of nights in the city, then journeyed on to Tangier.
It was my first trip to Morocco and I found the people welcoming. The natives are eager to show you their country and genuinely extend their hospitality to visitors.

I had an amazing experience visiting the Blue City of Chefchaouen with Moha. He was more than just a driver, he was a wonderful guide and quickly became a friend. Throughout the journey, he kept us entertained with music, singing, and jokes, making the entire ride fun and memorable. His positive energy and genuine care for his guests truly stood out.
Thanks to Moha, this trip became one of the highlights of my time in Morocco. I highly recommend booking your Chefchaouen excursion with him if you’re looking for a fun, professional, and unforgettable experience. Please ask for him when you book!!

Never made it to our destination as the only road in was blocked by heavy rains. Sad!!!
But we ventured to 2 alternative destinations which good.

This tour was a good way to visit the Blue City from Fez. We wish there had been more free time to explore on our own!

An excellent day out - long drive there and back, but good experience and well worth seeing this beautiful blue town with its kind and friendly people.

The day trip to the Blue City was well organized. We met our van driver Salah and his coworker Houssin bright and early at a meeting point not far from our riad. It took about 4 hours to get to a scenic viewpoint where we spent like 10 minutes taking panoramic photos of Chefchaouen. What a breathtaking view! After we entered the city, we were met with an excellent 82 year old tour guide Hassan who took us through the narrow streets and telling us stories about the city. After that we had about 2.5 hours to explore the city on our town before meeting the van at where we were dropped off. Salah and Houssin took us safely back to Fez where we met 12 hours ago. The beauty of the city was well worth the 8 hour long van rides. I highly recommend this trip.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you for your wonderful review! 🌟
We’re thrilled to hear that your day trip to Chefchaouen was so memorable and that Salah, Houssin, and Hassan made the experience enjoyable and safe. Chefchaouen is truly breathtaking, and we’re glad you had time to explore its beauty. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you on another adventure in Morocco!

The driver was okay.
The primary guide was horrible. He was unfriendly, did not inform us, and did not allow us a different drop-off location than the pickup place. Furthermore, he was unprofessional; at some point, he simply disappeared without saying goodbye.
The guide in Chefchaouen was okay.
During the trip, the guides used too many languages (switching between languages excessively), which wasted time and made the communication confusing and inefficient.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you for sharing your feedback.
We’re very sorry that your experience with the primary guide did not meet your expectations. Please note that this is a shared tour with guests speaking different languages, so our guide switches between three languages to ensure everyone can follow along and enjoy the tour. We understand this can sometimes feel confusing, but it is necessary to accommodate a mixed group.
We appreciate your comments and will continue working to make all our tours as smooth, professional, and enjoyable as possible.

For our long day, we had an excellent, safe driver (Moha), who did a terrific job getting us there and back. He was friendly, multilingual, upbeat, and imparted information very well.
We enjoyed seeing the countryside between Fes and Chefchaouen, and having a couple of rest stops along the way.
Old Chefchaouen was a lovely experience. We enjoyed our free time.
It would help if the tour company could identify a WC there. The only WC’s we could find near there were rodent-ridden or beyond dirty. Our guide knew a lot but would stop the group and pretty much talk to one person by standing less than a foot away and it was rather uncomfortable.
The vehicle was good for the most part, but one passenger had a non-working seatbelt and a few complained of seatbelt or seat issues that made 2x4h tough on them. The retracting step was faulty, therefore unsafe, so the van needs a step stool for the elderly.
Personally, I would rather have had 1 hour less free time and got back to Fes before dark.
We enjoyed our day!
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback.
We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip to Chefchaouen and that Moha made the journey safe, comfortable, and informative. We also appreciate your constructive comments regarding the WC facilities, vehicle comfort, and timing of free time. Your observations are very valuable and will help us improve the experience for future guests, especially regarding accessibility and comfort.
We’re happy that overall you enjoyed the day and hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Morocco!

We were not 100% pleased with our tour. The driver and guide on bus were very nice; however, the guide at Blue City we could hardly understand. He should’ve separated the groups by language and approached the group as he was “supposedly” providing info. In addition I believe at most he was with us 40 min.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you for your feedback.
We’re glad to hear that you found the driver and bus guide nice and helpful. Regarding the guide in Chefchaouen, please note that this is a shared tour with a mixed-language group, and the guide must switch between languages to accommodate everyone. We appreciate your comments and will continue working to improve the tour experience.

I booked my day trip to Chefchaouen last minute , I was on the fence about it because I didn’t want to dedicate an entire day to another city but it was worth it. I was greeted by my guides , a driver named Saleh and two polyglot speakers that effortlessly communicated with the group in several languages abdelhadi and Omar. Abdelhadi and Omar have amazing personalities , they are both personable and down to earth, the perfect people to be guiding a tour like this one. On the way back I wasn’t feeling the best , And Abdelhadi and Omar were so patient with me and I felt like they cared about getting me some relief. Chefchaoeun is a beautiful city , probably the most aesthetically beautiful places I’ve seen thus far, and I’m glad I had amazing people there that added to my experience.

We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again for another unforgettable Moroccan adventure!

The drive there felt long. The road is winding and hilly, but the change in scenery and environment is really interesting. Once we got to Chefchaouen, the guide walked us through the old side and new side. Gave us a lot of information about the area. We were to our own exploring for about two hours.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you for your review! 🌟
We’re glad you enjoyed the scenic drive to Chefchaouen and appreciated the guide’s informative tour of both the old and new sides. It’s great that you had some free time to explore on your own as well. We hope you take home wonderful memories from this beautiful city!
Victor_G, Sep 2025
The tour is technically just a transfer. You're bring brought to Chefchaouen with 2 intermediate stops at photo locations and 1 stop for a short breakfast. On the way back it's just a single coffee/bathroom stop.
It takes around 4 hours to get there.
The car has seen better days, but AC was working and seat belts were available, that's it. The tour description reminds to bring your own beverages - as there's no water in the car.
The time given to see the city is around 4 hours, too - and that is more than enough.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you for your feedback.
This day trip is designed as a shared transfer from Fez to Chefchaouen with scenic stops and free time to explore the city at your own pace. We appreciate your comments and will take them into account as we continue to improve our service.
Halimat_O, Aug 2025
Our driver was amazing. The guided tour wasn't spectacular but we had enough time to explore on our own and the van was comfortable so we could sleep
Sandra_B, Aug 2025
I went on the day trip to Chefchaouen and I'd recommend to anyone staying in Fes for a few days. The city is beautiful and cooler than Fes. It's a great little day trip. Although it's a 4-hour drive each way, they break up the trip with stops at vistas and rest stops so the time flies. You get 4 hours in the city along with a guided tour. You can do a lot in that amount of time and take lots of beautiful photos.
Emma_H, Jul 2025
A longer drive but well worth it. Our guides stopped along the way to break up the drive and were very organised and knowledgeable. The city itself is amazing - the walking tour was fabulous and the lunch recommendation was nice. Would definitely recommend to others
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you for your fantastic review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the trip to Chefchaouen and appreciated the stops, the walking tour, and the lunch spot. It means a lot that you’d recommend us to others! We hope to see you again for more unforgettable journeys in Morocco! 😊✨

We had a fantastic experience on this small group tour from Fes to Chefchaouen. The ride was smooth, the driver Labhar was very friendly and informative, and the scenery through the mountains was stunning.
The Mercedes Benz bus was clean and comfortable, we even felt like this is a private transfer because there were only two of us and one extra passenger.
Chefchaouen itself was absolutely beautiful - we had plenty of time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the town. The free guide from the tour in the city is a must have - incredible knowledge and personality!
Everything was well-organized and relaxed. Highly recommend this trip!
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thank you so much for your kind review! We're thrilled to hear you had a fantastic experience and enjoyed the journey with Labhar. It’s great that you felt comfortable and well taken care of. Chefchaouen truly is a magical place, and we’re glad you enjoyed it. We hope to welcome you again soon! 😊

A day trip that is definitely worth doing. The drive to Chefchaouen from Fez includes paying through much panoramic scenery.

Ronak_M, May 2025
We were hoping for a day trip to Chefchaouen to experience the storied blue city. Our tour guide was kind and kept everyone’s spirits up but did little “guiding” en route to the city. Upon reaching the city, we were made to follow a local tour guide. He did not explain any of the culture or history of the city, and just took us on a walk through the markets. He ultimately was trying to take us to a very particular restaurant, which made us skeptical, so we peeled off. The van that we were in was also very subpar. An older vehicle, it had a broken seat and broken seat back tables and pockets. The air conditioning kept turning off, which made the ride quite toasty. The driver, though, was very skilled.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thank you for your honest feedback. We're glad to hear you appreciated the kindness of the guide and the skill of the driver, but we're truly sorry that the overall experience didn’t meet your expectations. We take your comments seriously, especially regarding the condition of the vehicle and the lack of insightful guiding in Chefchaouen ,and we’ll work to improve both areas. Your input helps us offer better experiences, and we hope to have the chance to make it up to you in the future.
Sanjiv_K, Apr 2025
Chefchaouen is a must do trip for anybody coming to Morocco, in my opinion. The entire Medina with every house and structure in different shades of blue is vibrant and so enchanting.
The trip was delayed and we were getting irritated initially but the operator then sent us in a car where there were only 4 of us. Our guide cum driver for the trip was Mohsin who is not only an excellent and safe driver but also a charming young man.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thank you so much for your kind and understanding review! We're delighted that you found Chefchaouen as enchanting as we do. Apologies again for the initial delay, but we're glad Mohsin was able to turn things around and make your trip memorable with his safe driving and warm personality. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again soon! 💙
Dante_S, Apr 2025
Overall a great experience in Chefchaouen from Fez. The drive is a little long but the knowledgeable drivers did their best to point out interesting landmarks along the way. They also stopped periodically for bathroom breaks, pictures, and snacks.
Considering how long the trip is (~3 hours one way) we got about a 1 hour guided tour through Chefchaouen followed by 3 hours to hang out before driving back to fez. The waterfall in the medianas is a must see.
If you have the time I'd suggest you stay for a day or two then go elsewhere. This company does one way trips as well.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re glad you enjoyed your time in Chefchaouen and appreciated the stops along the way. The waterfall in the medina is indeed a hidden gem! Your tip about staying longer to really soak in the city is spot on. We hope to welcome you again for another adventure soon!
