A wonderful tour with the great Lafayette around some spooky parts of Edinburgh: funny, spooky, informative and insightful, Lafayette shared some facts and stories about Edinburgh’s past. He had our group, which had 30 pax, in stitches and jumping out of their skin in equal measure. Lafayette was very knowledgeable, and a great performer entertainer! Highly recommend if you are in Edinburgh for a few days.

Tour was great! I thought I had bought a ticket just for entry into the castle. I walked all the way up the hill and was told I had to meet my group down at the bottom of the hill!! Lot's of walking that day - but it was worth it. Our guide was knowledgeable, funny and made the history of the castle very interesting.

There are 3 different bus routes, each one traveling to see some different places, so over 2 days, we went on all 3 routes, and we loved it. On 2 of the busses, there was pre-recorded commentary and on one, we had a very interesting and entertaining Scottish man telling us about everything we were seeing. He had some funny stories to tell and really made for an educational ride. We loved the overview of Edinburgh so we knew what we wanted to go back to later and explore.

Stuart was our guide on a rainy day and it was totally worth it! He’s a wealth of knowledge and helped us find areas we would not have found on our own. He also provided us with insight into many of the buildings we had passed by and made it a more meaningful experience!

We really enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it. Jess was knowledgeable, engaging, and an excellent storyteller. We especially enjoyed her perspective on the role of women in Scottish history, which added depth to the experience and highlighted stories that are often overlooked. For anyone considering this tour, it's worth noting that it's more standing than walking. The group stops at various locations throughout Old Town while Jess shares the history and stories behind each site. A fantastic introduction to Edinburgh and one of the highlights of our trip!

Well, it all started with my mistakes! I booked a Spanish speaking tour- we don’t speak Spanish. Then, I didn’t read that we had a meeting place rather than meeting at the castle. Once the mistakes were realized, we went up to a man with a black/yellow umbrella and asked questions. He jumped into action and messaged someone to come help us. Within a few minutes, someone arrived with our tickets and allowed us to join in with an English speaking tour. What a stoke of luck! We ended up with Jen and what a delight! She is a wealth of information and entertaining! What a great time!

We did the two-hour walking tour in the afternoon, and honestly, we could have kept going for another couple of hours! We love history and discovering the hidden stories and legends behind a city, and Kieran was the perfect guide for that. He shared lots of fascinating stories about Edinburgh and pointed out things we would never have noticed on our own. His sense of humor made the tour both entertaining and engaging, so we learned a lot while having some laughs along the way. As Outlander and Harry Potter fans, we also enjoyed hearing about Edinburgh's connections to both worlds, as well as learning about other movies and TV series that were inspired by the city. It made the tour even more interesting for us. We had a short time in Edinburgh, and this tour was the perfect way to get to know the city beyond simply walking around its beautiful streets. Edinburgh is such a beautiful and magical place, and you can really feel that atmosphere as you explore it. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city. Don't hesitate to book it—you won't regret it!

A great tour, with lots of local colour. I do wish there hadn't been any children on the tour, but that's not the guide's fault. However, his amendments on their behalf, and the reminders that they had chosen the Darkside tour, were a bit unfortunate. Still a worthwhile tour. It was pouring rain, and G still made the most of the evening, adapting as need be.
