This trip was well worth...

This trip was well worth it for our family of four. The day broke up our weeks vacation of beach, shopping, and eating, and allowed us to soak up culture, history, and excursion. The hike to see the crater on Etna was more like a difficult walk than a hike. The views were great as you can clearly see the closest active crater on Etna. The lunch was very good, pasta, cappuccino, and gelato. The Gorge we were unprepared for unfortunately. If we were to do this again, we would 100% bring water shoes as the river is all rocks. The river is also very cold. But refreshing in summer heat. The guides were all friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. Many of them were family members so it was great. Very good way to spend a day in Sicily and see many sites all at a once. It’s along day, you will be tired at the end. Great trip!

We LOVED this tour!! Taormina is gorgeous and our guide Corrado was awesome! He gave us just enough info without boring us with facts and history. Plus he took us to the most amazing and oldest cannoli shop in the town! We then headed up to Castelmola which was a spectacular mountain top town and had lunch at a very interesting and very delicious restaurant! It was a fantastic day! I highly recommend this tour!

A fun and memorable tour!

I am so happy I decided to book my tour with Lady Etna Tours. Alex came and picked me up and then we headed to our first stop. In the car he shared his knowledge about volcanos so by the time we reached our 1st stop, I knew everything about volcanos that I needed to know! Alex is a fantastic host and guide. His knowledge and passion for volcanos is second to none. Alex also made sure I had a great experience while focusing on safety at the same time. After the volcano tour, I had a nice lunch and tasting at Gambino winery. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend booking this tour, you won't be disappointed!

Our guide, Danilo, made this experience so special! He was friendly, humorous, and highly knowledgeable about Etna and also Sicily in general. It was immediately clear that he was a great guide to have for this excursion. We felt safe on the walking portion of of Etna, inside the cave, and in the vehicle. Danilo shared photos and videos with us to enhance the experience. He spoke about the historical side and scientific side of Etna in ways that were engaging and easy to understand. Toramina was our first stop and had a nice cup of cappuccino before the stores opened and made it through town to the theater 14euros and under 18 was free. Great Experience, filled with surprises!

We had an unforgettable day exploring Mount Etna and visiting the Gambino Winery. Our guide, Martino, was exceptional—knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about his land, its history, and the unique culture of the Etna region. His enthusiasm made every stop more meaningful, from the volcanic landscapes to the vineyards thriving in Etna’s fertile volcanic soil. The stop at the honey farm was a great experience, arriving just before the tour groups, making us feel like it was a private tour! The winery visit was a highlight, with excellent wines, delicious local food, and fascinating insights into the winemaking traditions of the area. Martino came through again, he took us to a private part of the vineyard that was quiet and very romantic. On our way back, we stopped at the Chestnut of One Hundred Horses, and then proceeded on our way, only to be surprised again by a gift of delicious Italian cookies.! I really enjoyed the Etna tour today. It was a very pleasant and easy-going experience from start to finish. Pickup and drop-off were smooth and well organized. Our guide, Alessandro, was friendly, knowledgeable and handled the very mixed group (different ages, nationalities and fitness levels) really well. We officially started with a tasting before walking around the Etna craters and later explored a lava cave while learning about volcanic rock flows. But honestly, the tour already started in the car ride up to Etna. Alessandro shared lots of interesting information about the villages, the landscape, local food, and the volcano itself throughout the drive. Overall, a very enjoyable and informative tour that I would definitely recommend.

Great Day in October

Wow what an amazing day. Small groups are the best and our driver Martino made it even better. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. His knowledge of the region was very informative. If you like to get a taste of different towns in a day this excursion is for you. The architecture of the region is beautiful. We visited a number of churches in the towns that gives you a nice snapshot of the area history. The time is not rushed and we feel we had time to see what we wanted. Views are amazing and this time of year the crowds are very manageable. Again a shout out to Martino who made it an amazing day. We highly recommend this tour.
