The whole day was...

The whole day was fantastic. Mario was very welcoming and friendly and really took the group under his wing. He outlined the day’s activities so everyone was clear about what we were doing and he shared so much local knowledge throughout the day. He also told us about the trails/paths to take to get the best views and happily volunteered to be the official photographer for the day. Mario also had lots of recommendations for lunch in Banff that were greatly appreciated. Last but not least, the playlist during the drive was top notch! The playlist was varied so there was something for everyone. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone (whether you’re travelling with friends/family or on your own) wanting a taste of what the Rocky Mountains has to offer. The attention to detail in the trip planning, the communication about itinerary changes, and the kindness shown by the Rocky Mountain Trips team cannot be beaten.

Great tour, beautiful sights.

The tour was great. Got to make lots of stops and see lots of beautiful sights. We had lots of time to take photos and experience the areas. I have been to the banff area many times and it’s always the easiest on a tour. The only thing I would change is many not mentioning so many deaths that have happened in the area lol every location seemed to mention a death. (Old couple with dog was killed by bear, man fell off the bridge and died etc.) I could have done without so much of that 😬

The most perfect day out!...

The most perfect day out! It was a long day out (10.5hrs) but the time passed quickly with everything to look at along the way. Kenneth was the best tour guide and driver, showing us his favorite places along the way!! The stops were perfectly timed and the natural landscape was simply breathtaking.

Habib is friendly,...

Habib is friendly, outgoing. Courteous. Enthusiastic and a good driver. He kept his hands on the wheel! It is clear he enjoys his job as tour guide. He played a taped audio guide which introduced us to the trajectory of life on earth, very worthwhile.The dinasour museum took me by surprise by its size and importance. His microphone was not working which caused some consternation. However his voice is resonant, his English excellent, and he made sure we could hear him when he had info to share. I would recommend this tour if your group has interest in paleontology and the study of life on earth through fossils.

A Full Day of Sightseeing

Viator is an easy and reliable tour company. This tour we took was very comprehensive and gave us an excellent overview of the Banff area. Our tour guide, Ben, was pleasant and knowledgeable. We would be happy to tour with him again. The only negative to our day was the weather. Clearly not Viator’s fault !

Calgary Walking Tour

It was a 3 hour tour with quite a number of steps, most had railings to use. There was a 30 minute “rest/washroom” time at the library where there was also a small snack/drink cafe. Our guide was very good but is leaving Calgary next week. However, I’m guessing since the tour is “pay your guide what you choose”, that most of them are pretty good. I do think it would be appropriate if the company gave some guidelines for amounts. The downtown area is very interesting and the art is impressive. Even though not all the art was exactly my taste, the fact there is so much & it is so diverse is very appealing & interesting. Highly recommend.

Great service, would recommend.

The tour bus was great. On time and no problems. The bus played a guided tour while driving which told interesting facts while on the drive. Would definitely recommend if you don't want the wait for the Parks Canada buses. 1 and a half hours at each lake was good too, especially if you want to rent a canoe for an hour.

Wonderful trip with Sanjeet

It was a wonderful trip. Our guide, Sanjeet, helped make this long journey less tiring and more memorable. He helped us quickly navigate unfamiliar areas, and we truly enjoyed many beautiful views, despite the cloudy and rainy weather. Sanjeet is also a very good driver. He drives the Matrix company bus safely. The trip was relaxing and very enjoyable. Thank you very much!

Great tour of the city of Calgary city art. Many talented artists leave their mark on the sides if buildings all over the city. We began at the wonderful brewery and sampled 6 different beers. Then walked the city to see the art and ended at a second brewery sampling another f is ur beers. The second was Four Dogs which allowed patrons to bring their dogs with them inside.

Day Tripping in an Air Conditioned Van

On a recent vacation to Calgary we took the Banff Gondola Hot Springs Bow Falls and Three Lakes Tour. From beginning to end, we had a very enjoyable day. The pick-up location was easy to find and very walkable from our downtown hotel. Our guide, Naveen, did an excellent job. He was cordial and professional, a perfect combination. Our favorite parts of the tour were Bow Falls, Lake Louise, and the Banff Gondola. If you take this tour and you happen to love mint chocolate chip ice cream, you're in luck! It was available at the snack stand at Lake Minnewanka and was delicious!
