We had the best time at the Calgary Street Art and Craft Beer tour today. We walked around the Beltline area looking at wonderful pieces of street art. We also had the chance to visit 2 establishments to sample some amazing craft beers. We particularly enjoyed the Four Dogs Taproom which, as well as having a fantastic selection of drinks, is dog themed which we loved. Our tour guide was Daniel and he was absolutely brilliant. He really made the tour special for us , he was so knowledgeable about the art work and he was great fun. We understand that this tour may soon be unavailable - please, please keep it on your schedule, it really is a fantastic experience, it would be such a shame to see it disappear. Many thanks for a great day.

So much fun! The street art was so eclectic. Daryl had the backstories on the artists and murals. Got to know a piece of Calgary that few would know. The brewery’s were a great addition and the perfect pit stops to get to know one another.

Absolutely beautiful city! We got to see so many things we would have missed on our own. And the pubs we visited had a lot of local character - exactly what we were hoping for. Guides were fantastic! We had three generations in our groul, and all of us had a good time.

There was a mix up with our booking, but Toonie Tour staff were great and got us sorted. They called Darrel to come at the last minute to be our guide. Darrel proved to be an outstanding guide. His knowledge of the background behind the artwork, including his conversations with many of the artists, provided insights into each mural. The two beer stops, with a flight at each, were very good. Nice beer and a great conversation with Darrel. From a rocky beginning to a fantastic conclusion, we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.

Great downtown walk of art and brews!

We saw many beautiful paintings arounf downtown Calgary that we would never have seen without this tour. And we got inside facts about the artists and the projects to bring this art to the city. We visited 2 nice breweries for some excellent beers. Be ready to walk!!

Ended up just being me and the guide after my friend got sick and couldn’t make it. Was kinda worried that would be an awkward experience but the guide was very personable and we had good conversations the entire tour. Saw a ton of murals I wouldn’t have found on my own and heard stories about the art I wouldn’t have thought to look up. Definitely worth your time if you’re an art fan. Beer was good too! 🍻

The mural art was an interesting example of a public/private civic initiative to humanize an urban space with a very new built environment. You see a lot and the more you see the greater the impact. The beer flights don’t hurt. And the resultant conversation (if you are lucky in your companions and your guide..props to Jamie for being well-informed and unflappable.

Lovely host - did a great job expanding the murals. A bit hot day so may have needed to adjust pace or cut back on a few murals. Also write up says 5x5 ounces at second brewery - may be a typo - we got 4 and I paid for the 5th one

Art and Beer - a terrific combination

The amount of street art was astounding and impressive. Initially I thought the tour would be brewery heavy but it wasn’t. There was plenty of art! And the guides, Ewan and Josh, were very informative and friendly. The walk is easy and the pace very well managed. The breweries are at the beginning and the end. I loved trying the different beers. For a small person like myself, there was more than enough beer. And even for the gentleman on our tour there was plenty. Only one improvement I could think of was to reverse the breweries so that there is food available at the last brewery. It would be an early dinner but we would have stayed on, bought food and kept chatting with each other. As it was in our small group we did all decide to go to eat dinner together. This was a bonus of the tour - met some fabulous interesting people.

We absolutely loved this tour! Joshua was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide. We learned this difference between street art and graffiti and the stories and interpretations behind beautiful murals we passed daily but discovered hidden gems as well. The tour was well-paced with stops at local pubs for some beer tastings (and cider for non-beer drinkers). This adventure with Toonie Tours is a definite must do during your time in Calgary!
