A good day trip from Bucharest
It was an easy day on the bus with a very helpful guide Vla who kept us entertained with the stories about the country and the castles. The AC kept us comfortable on the bus on a very hot day. The scenery along the ride was nice and the stops had restrooms and food. It was a good day trip.

Bulgaira
I wish I could rate this higher than a 5-star!! We really enjoyed Bulgaria!! It was gorgeous! We had plenty of time for the fortress, time to eat, time to walk around Ruse as well as the other stops. It was a small tour (maybe 10-12 people). There were bathroom/snack/drink stops and nothing was rushed. 10/10 no real notes. If I could say anything it’d be that I wish the driver had talked a little bit louder to explain some of the things while in the van, but he was knowledgeable, gave plenty of time for everything and it was a truly enjoyable day!!!

Bears and winding roads… Oh my!
The tour company planned out the logistics accordingly to ensure a well timed adventure. The driver/guide Pedro was prompt and on time. He did a great job telling us about România history and sights and just very friendly and courteous. He gave us some good tips as we got to each sight and ensured we were comfortable and got the most from the experience. Also, a very good driver. Thanks for the nice smooth and fun drive through “the best driving road in the world.” Not to mention we got to see wild bears!
I would recommend this tour to anyone seeking some adventure with some incredibly great visual sights. If you love lucious mountains with colorful flowers, rivers, waterfalls, clear lakes and love driving winding roads you will love this! Also, impressive architecture and engineering of dams and a chance to see bears, sheep, donkeys and other wildlife. Overall a wonderful tour and tour company!

Beautiful Carpathian Mountains and Sites
This was a great tour outside of Bucharest and a great way to see the country of Romania which is beautiful. Alex was our guide, he was attentive and knowledgeable, shared the history of the palace, castle and Brasov, which is a must see, a beautiful city in the Carpathian Mountains.

Excellent!
Alin was our driver and guide. He texted beforehand to confirm pick up details and timings. We were picked up from our hotel.
Alin was genuinely engaging and humorous. Lots of detail and context on the history of Bucharest and Romania.
Loads of photo opportunities too.
Would recommend if you want to see and understand the sights.

2 Travelers from Texas
Great food tour and cultural tour! Manuela was excellent- very informative. The mix between food and Bucharest city history and sites was balanced perfectly! Do not eat before your tour - there was ample food to try. Loved everything! Highly recommend this tour for a taste of Bucharest!

Long day, but worth seeing the castles!
It is a long day but worth it to see the castles. Pele’s castle was especially amazing. Bram Castle was nice if you wanted to think about the book Dracula. But remember there was no real vampire and the story didn’t happen at that castle. To make it a shorter day we could’ve skipped the city Braşov. We had particularly bad traffic because it was a Sunday and nice weather. It took a long time to get there and get it back. We managed to get back by 9 o’clock at night. Our guide Serban was very knowledgeable and kept us on track to get back at a reasonable hour.

Transylvania
Although this was a very long day, we thoroughly enjoyed seeing all that we did. Dani was an excellent guide and was well versed in all the questions we asked him. He also managed to do this tour in Italian, English and Romanian!
Johnny - our driver - was excellent!!

A Must Do
Bogdan was fantastic. He had so much knowledge and information about the castles. We would recommend getting a ticket for your guide into Pele Castle because it is worth all the explanations. The day is long but completely worth it. We would highly recommend.

Transylvania here we come!
Roxanna is a very good guide. Her knowledge of Romania's history, current events and politics made for great discussion. This overnight trip turned out to be a real adventure. Our guide's knowledge of the area and how to efficiently travel the Romania backroads was the highlight. We arrived back at our Bucharest hotel feeling like we had seen parts of Romania that the typical visitor does not see. Looking forward to a return trip.

Great intro to the city!
Had a wonderful tour with Bogdam. Come with an empty stomach because there was a lot of food - and beer! Easy meet-up location on the steps of the National Theater. Everyone on my tour was from the U.S. Bogdam’s English was fantastic. Ate different types of salami, eggplant dips, olives, cheeses, bread, mici with mustard, a pretzel, cherries, a fried donut speciality. Soft drinks were available for those who didn’t want to drink beer or wine. Tried the local plum brandy shot. Visited different neighborhoods and a large fresh marketplace. Had a wonderful time and would highly recommend!

A Fun Way to see Bucharest for 2 hours
What a great experience this was. A 2 hour drive around Bucharest in a tuk tuk. It was a new experience for me and a really good laugh. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and our guide, Valentin, was great and made the experience more memorable. We visited all the main city sites, Parliament building, Arch of Triumph and gallery buildings. Valentin, shared a lot of knowledge of his home city and made the trip more personal. It was much better than doing our usual hop-on hop-off city tours. I will look to doing this type trip again on other trips.

Bucharest is a multi-faceted European capital that has, in many ways, modernized rapidly since the fall of the Soviet Union. But it retains an old-world flavor that makes it a favorite among travelers. Learn about Romania’s complex past with history-focused Bucharest tours, then sample the city’s specialties on a food-focused walk and see major attractions like the royal palace.
