A Really Great Way to ‘Untangle’ Barcelona

We just finished a wonderful private tour with Steven, who was a really great guide - informed, knowledgeable, extremely personable and accommodating. We saw a lot, learned a lot, and had a lot of fun! I recommend this tour, since the center of Barcelona can be a bit of a ‘maze,’ with many different neighborhoods and experiences even adjacent to each other.

The route and the guide's narration cover a big span of Barcelona history. Our guide Marina was superb,. clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the subjects. Be warned: There is a tedious 20 minute section when you ride in the bike lane towards the Arc De Triomf and you have to stop at every traffic light.

This tour was incredible. At over five hours, this Gaudi-focused walking tour seemed a bit intimidating to us and our two boys before it started. Thanks to our excellent guide, Alessia, it was a truly amazing experience that seemed like it was over too quickly! The Gaudi-designed sites - Casa Battlo, Park Guell, and Sagrada Familia - would've been beautiful, interesting, and engaging on their own, but Alessia brought them to life with excellent detail and knowledge-sharing. She took already incredible places and made them even more exciting. We loved this tour and highly recommend it to others!

Vegetarian too full after this to have dinner that night

Don't eat breakfast before you show up - there is more food than you can possibly eat. Numerous stops, and they were all great. I'm a vegetarian and Jordi was able to make accommodations for me at each stop - my note I left on Viator about being a vegetarian apparently didn't reach him prior, we booked about two days in advance, so he had to jump through some hoops to get separate food for me, but it was still more than I could eat. I know it's hard to get a last minute paella made! Two glasses of alcohol were included on the trip, which was plenty - recommend the vermouth at one stop and sangria at the other. If you are vegan this might be a little difficult, my substitutes included cheese and dairy, but you can totally do this if you are a vegetarian (but close your eyes at the food market).

Fabulous afternoon!

We had an amazing and delicious afternoon with Petra! She was an amazing guide who gave us a good background of the old city of Barcelona and we had the most delicious experience of good wine and traditional tapas including paella, pinchos and potatas braves. I even tried some things outside of my normal diet and they were amazing!

This tour was fabulous. Our guide Nika was excellent, very knowledgeable, she covered a heap of history on Barcelona, tapas and wine. She described what each tapas were and where the wine came from. The food and little tapas bars that she took us to were very genuine, down back alleys that we would never have found on our own and the tapas and wine were delicious. Highly recommend this tour.
