The guide will be waiting on the "Estación de Francia" with a sign of Amigo Tours. You can arrive on the subway line L4 to the "Barceloneta" station, once there, take the exit to "Plaça Pau Vila". You can arrive also on bus line 47. The meeting point is at the main entrance of the station.

The tour was amazing! It was busy with it being a Sunday, but we still managed to see the Black Madonna, taste some excellent liquors, and have some free time to wander through a farmers market. The mountain vistas are worth the trip alone. Laura, our guide, was very knowledgable of the area, given she was born there in the countryside. She did a great job at herding us along and explaining things. Overall, a fantastic way to spend half your day. Definitely will do again next time we visit Barcelona.

The meeting point instructions by train weren’t the best. We arrived at the designated train station but could not find the guide. We called the number provided for questions 3 separate times to ask for assistance, but no one could direct us to the correct spot. When we found it on our own the bus had just pulled off. We asked if we could get a partial refund or speak with a manager to share our experience, but was told no to both by the representative. We understand that the bus had to stay on schedule, but the lack of support and customer service from the help line was unacceptable. We won’t be using the company again.

The area was beautiful as was the monetary. We had a great tour with a wonderful guide who gave very heartfelt explanations and was also very funny and easy to get along with. The trip ran on time and had an easy meet up place.

It is a fast moving tour and you should think ahead of time your plan for the free time .. consider taking your lunch break at the less crowded cafeteria by the bus parking area ..

This is exactly what the tour said it would be. We rode a bus, rode a train, had a short tour from a passionate guide, and then had free time to do what we wanted to do. We took the funicular to the top and wandered a bit before returning to the base to explore. We left with a selection of cheeses to enjoy on our return trip.

Montserrat is a beautiful place. The mountains were so beautiful and the scenery was breathtaking. The monastery is beautiful. I was awestruck by the chapel. I was honored to see , touch, and pray to La Moroneta. I was a little put off by the people who treated Our Lady like an instagram moment, posing like she was their Aunt Margaret. Our tickets included the audiovisual experience and the liqueur tasting. The experience was very interesting. The liqueur was good. We even bought some. On the way out, try the Mel i Moto ( honey and cheese). It’s delicious. Blanca, our guide, was amazing. Full of knowledge and giving th tour almost simultaneously in English and Spanish. She is a treasure.

Montserrat is a must do when visiting Barcelona! The beauty of the natural surroundings and the history of the monastery and cathedral are not to be missed. Blanca is a talented linguist who flipped easily between English and Spanish. Her narrative of the trip was very informative. She is a 5 star guide!

The full tour contains more than one can do in the free time available. Better to buy just the transfer and select one or two activities. The museum is excellent and deserves some time. I missed the audiovisual show —ran out of time. The wine tasting was delicious. Our guide Lorena was helpful but recommended a restaurant in the area that turned out to be closed Mondays.

Black Madonna, scenery. Tour paid for several items we couldn't enjoy because there was no time. Liquor tasting - line long & we had no time to do it and stand inline. Funicular to top, same. Tour guide was good. Train ride interesting.

While Montserrat was beautiful the trip with Amigo tours was underwhelming and disappointing.
Arriving at Montserrat was when the poor planning started to show. We arrived in Montserrat at 9am, beating the heavier waves of people, however we started by falling in line to enter the basilica to view the Black Virgin Statue and this took up more than 40min of our 4 hours in the city. Our guide, though sweet, shared a few facts about the Monastery guided us to the entrance, shared our pick-up point and time and this was the last I'd see of her for the rest of my "optional tour". After exiting the basilica most of my tour group had already scattered into wandering the small city alone.
I arrived at the pick-up location 2 minutes late. After 10 minutes passed and I saw no one from my group I messaged Amigo Tours App and Help number, neither answered. I waited another 5min before calling their "urgent" line and when I did I was informed that my tour bus had merely left. I had received no call, no text, no email- about the buses departure (though this information was all given to the company). To make matters worse when asked what they could do to help me return to Barcelona (which is 2 hours away by public transport) the Amigo Tours help center said: We cannot help. I suggest you visit an Information desk.
The tour is not a tour. I'd say for transport and entrance into the various things in the city the fee is well worth it. However I did not receive a return journey home and had I left at the correct time, I would not have had time to actually make use of my tickets. If you are expecting a combined entrance fee and are ok with a rushed run through of Montserrat - go ahead! If you want a tour and the time to experience a new place with a bus that won't leave you stranded in a mountain city, choose elsewhere.

The black Madonna is beautiful and special to see.
Unfortunately the weather was cold and so foggy that we could not see any of the surrounding mountains, which I think would have enhanced the experience.
Our guide, though nice, was clearly not on his game. He really didn’t give us much information and was difficult to understand.
We didn’t have any time for the tasting so that was also disappointing.

Very nice experience! Especially learning the "Legend" about the Black Madonna founded at the mountain of Montserrat back in 800 AD. Our guide Julia is very knowledgeable and fun to be with. she gave us enought time and tips while we explore the mountain and the cathedral and gave us easy access to the Black Madonna.
We were able to do all the listed activities hat came along with our tour and gave us enough time to visit the museum, the cathedral. the food stalls along the road, and wine tastings which was great and all included in our tour.

Valeria was an excellent and friendly guide. It was great for learning our Spanish that our tour was in both so we heard everything in English then again in Spanish right after.
The details were handled so smoothly, it was very easy to find our meeting spots and transportation was very comfortable. Alberto was an excellent driver in a big comfy bus in both traffic and narrow mountain roads. We weren’t able to do all three included options in the time allowed but we stayed in the basilica a long time because it was so beautiful. The museum is excellent too and well worth the time even after time at the Prado and Sofia in Madrid.
We also enjoyed tastes and buying at the farmers market on the way out. Monserrat is well worth the time we just wish we could have stayed 1-2 more hours.
