What are people saying about Austria

Much more than anticipated
I thoroughly enjoyed all four hours of this tour. Why? The docent makes the tour. In this case, we didn’t simply see Salzburg city sites and places associated with the making of the Sound of Music, nor did we simply see the glorious mountains and lakes east of Salzburg to Mondsee, our guide passionately spun numerous stories of the movie. I loved his sense of humor and apparently the tour did as well for there was much laughter and singing. Well done. And kudos to our driver for we had the afternoon slot and negotiating the city and country roads was no minor feat. All in all, the driving was top notch and I say this as the son of a professional driver. Kudos. To those reading this review, yes, this is a tour most appropriate for fans of the movie and actually enjoy singing along (we didn’t simply four songs and heard a few more). If you want strict Salzburg history, read the title of the tour and browse some more: we needed this light and fun tour after numerous days of excellent but often sobering museums. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Beautiful day at Schonbrunn Palace
This is a beautiful historical tour of the palace.
Our guide Paul was great despite several groups that were 35-45 minutes late (rude) and a group of 7 that never showed and they began incessantly calling him wanting to catch up after we were already deep into the palace. He remained professional but you could tell he was flustered. He sincerely apologized to our
group. Otherwise he did a fantastic job and made the tour fun and educational. It’s an amazing palace and a must see if you’re in Vienna.

Lots of Wow for a Reasonable Price!
Maybe our favorite activity in Austria: stunning sunset views, authentic fortress, delicious food, wonderful service, and inspiring concert! The veranda for dinner was lovely in May. The hall at the top of the fortress for the concert is ancient and perfect. The musicians did a wonderful job as well. Loved the evening start to finish.

Long bus day, but worth it!
We loved Alexander's history talks during our drive to Hallstatt and Salzburg. He gave so much valuable information. Please be advised this is a lot of time spent on a coach bus. The bus is air conditioned and very nice, but you cover 4 regions of Austria so it is a lot of driving. Bring cash for Hallstatt. It is gorgeous and you get 2 hours of free time. Salzburg involves a walking tour plus some free time...2 hours there total. Overall, beautiful countryside on the A1 Western Autobahn. You pass Mauthausen concentration camp on the way and also the manufacturing plant for Glock firearms in Steyr. Lots of history that Alexander covered!

Best food tour ever!
Maria was absolutely the best tour guide ever. We have been on food tours in many cities around the world and this was absolutely the best. The food experience was fantastic especially at the last stop with Tomas. It was fun to navigate the subways and street cars and open markets. with Maria’s help of course
This was absolutely the highlight of our trip and would recommend it to all age groups. Thank you Maria.

Wow!
WOW!!! Just, WOW!!! I didn't think I liked classical music ...until I attended this concert! :-) So impressed with the song choices and the performance, it brought me to tears. Incredibly talented musicians. Absolutely beautiful building. It was a small and intimate performance and the acoustics in that room were perfect. We were lucky enough to sit in the front row and I would highly recommend it. We sat in the chairs, because I read the pews were very uncomfortable. The chairs weren't great either but I was so mesmerized by the music that it didn't bother me too much.

Marko is a fantastic tour...
Marko is a fantastic tour guide, he went above and beyond to make our experience one to remember. The schedule for the day was planned very well allowing plenty of time to enjoy and learn about the various sights, have lunch and free time. I was really happy to also have time allowed for dinner at the end of the day as well as further free time. It really ended the tour with a bang. Here’s to you Marko!

The tour staff was...
The tour staff was amazing and they were very knowledgeable about the areas traveling through. The coach included a small selection of beverages for purchase.
Only negative, very minor, is the ticket redeem location is in a small kiosk building on South-East corner of Mirabellplatz & Hubert-Sattler-Gasse and not the address provided in the booking.

Excellent Tour - Would highly Recommend
This is a wonderful tour!! The contact was easy to find with the green umbrella, her instructions for check in were easy to follow, and she was an excellent guide. Very funny, and an easy story teller. Also very helpful if there were any questions or concerns. This is the best way to see the castle and to get a bit if the story.

Tour guy Lily is very...
Tour guy Lily is very friendly and provided us lots of fun stories and history about Austria, making the 4h bus ride easy to pass. Frequently stops on the way also make the bus ride doesn’t seem long at all. Hallstatt is extremely beautiful and is easily my favorite place in Austria better than Vienna.

A fantastic walking tour!...
A fantastic walking tour! We covered so much ground and learned many hidden gems about the city. Giselle was an excellent guide; she was incredibly informative and ensured we were as comfortable as possible in the heatwave by finding many shady spots and visiting public churches and other indoor spaces. This was a great way to be introduced to Vienna.

Beautiful views
Amazing views of the German and Austrian countryside. My dad uses a walker, but he was able to see the views from the main level of the nest. The walk up to the cross was to difficult for him, but the others in my group felt it is worthwhile to get better pictures. The road is steep and winding, so if you get motion sickness, be sure to take Dramamine. Thanks Mirko for being such an entertaining guide.
