What are people saying about Athens

Knowelegable guide and good driver for an enjoyable half day tour.
Takis was our driver and Ria was our guide. We enjoyed both of them. Not only was Takis a very good driver he had a great sense of humor. Ria had amazing knowledge of history and the sites. Her English was excellent and we had conversation that went beyond description of the sites we toured. Ask for them when you book your tour.

“A Private Tour That Completely Changed How We Saw Athens
We had an absolutely phenomenal experience with our Athens tour guide, Dionisis. I’ll be honest — I’m usually not a “guided tour” person because they can sometimes feel rushed, generic, or overly scripted. This was the complete opposite.
What made this experience exceptional was how personalized and private it felt. We were able to move at our own pace, ask questions freely, and really enjoy the day without feeling herded around in a large group.
One thing I especially appreciated was that he explained the history and significance of the Acropolis before we entered. That preparation completely changed the experience for us because we actually understood what we were looking at while walking through it. Instead of just seeing ruins, we understood the stories, historical importance, and cultural meaning behind everything.
His background and degrees in History and Archaeology truly elevated the entire experience. Every explanation was detailed, engaging, and thoughtful without ever feeling overwhelming. He took us to the highest peak in Athens where we had breathtaking panoramic views of the city, and he also brought us to the Presidential Palace where he thoroughly explained the traditions, symbolism, and history behind the Greek guards — including why they wear the uniforms they do and the meaning behind every ceremonial movement.
Beyond the history itself, he recommended a fantastic local restaurant that ended up being one of the best meals of our trip.
Most importantly, he was incredibly generous with his time, warm, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about sharing Greece with us. A true wealth of knowledge and an outstanding human being. If you want an authentic, educational, and deeply memorable experience in Athens, this is the guide you want.
Thank you Dionisis!

The Ultimate Athens Experience
ThIs is the *only* way to see all of the highlights of Athens in a day, with so much history and context, in absolute comfort, and with real care and attention to our enjoyment.
Aris Anagnostopoulos was quite wonderful. He treated us with so much consideration and accommodated some special needs for my elderly mother with empathy and warmth. He was incredibly knowledgeable, giving us so much information that helped us to enjoy the experience even more. He found the best spots to stop and to share the amazing beauty and wonders of this special city.
Nothing was rushed, but the eight hours of our tour just flew past.
Aris made my mom’s dreams come true: “I could not have had a better day. It just surpassed all my expectations”.
Definitely to be recommended. Thank you Aris.

Lovely island hopping day out
Lovely enjoyable day. The crew were so welcoming and knowledgeable about our stops. The islands were beautiful and had lots of options of activities, which were all thoroughly explained before arrival. This gave us ample time to enjoy and explore each location. Swim stop was amazing and the food was incredible. Would fully recommend.

Acropolis tour review
We had a great time. Our tour guide, Ellie was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, passionate, and warm and funny about explaining details of the Acropolis. We also did the optional museum tour which enabled us to get so much more out of the experience, we recommend doing both.

Great tour
The tour was great. Our guide , Peter, was very knowledgeable. He spoke English very clearly and I appreciate that we had headphones to help us hear ( some other tours did not have the feature. He kept us going through the Parthenon and the other temples. He also guided us through the museum point out various aspects of the remnants. There is a fair bit of walking which was expected but people should note that is can be rocky terrain. The steps are often uneven and it is crowded. However , I highly recommend this tour. It was a great way to experience and learn about the Acropolis!!!

A Must Do Tour
Definately go in the AM. We went on a Thurs and Qs were small and the temperature wasnt too hot. Qs on weekend were very long.
Our guide Valia was excellent, really knew her stuff and pointed out all the key things and explained what they were. This included in the museum.
Tour was about 3.5 hours and was worth every penny. Stunning.

A perfect evening in Athens
I was worried initially given it was a colder day with rain. The tour guide Roy ensured it would still be a lovely trip and I decided to take the chance and book the tour and I am beyond glad I did!
The tour offered easy to access locations for pick up as the bus was to large for the air bnb I was staying at. Pick up was delayed a few minutes due to traffic but it was smooth sailing the entire drive.
The first stop was a beautiful lake that if I had more time I would spend a day there swimming and eating at the restaurant. The crystal blue water was so inviting and the views surrounding the lake were gorgeous. This was a quick stop with some history and time for pictures.
The next stop was an hour and twenty minutes we could swim, eat, grab a drink, or explore. The bar we stopped at served great food and a delicious cocktail called the windmill. The service was a bit slow but that was because 4 minibus full of people all showed up in succession. You could eat inside ir across the street they had beach seating. We stayed in and enjoyed the costal view and chatted with some of our fellow travelers. The meat tray for 2 was perfect allowing samples of all the items we wanted to try. Reasonably priced for the quality and quantity we recieved. After this stop we still had time to explore the beach and get some pictures.
Before arriving to the temple of Poseidon, there was on additional photo stop where we learned more history about the temple.
The temple itself was atop a hill with a plateau that provided breathtaking views of islands, bays, ports, and the towns along each. There was a restaurant, souvenir shop, and small museum shop for those who did not want to walk up the moderate incline and walkway to the temple. Viator warns ahead of time but know the entrance fee is 20 euro each cash or card. The cost of admission was well worth the upclose view of the temple and the trails on the grounds leading up. This was a perfect location for a sunset evening. The only improvement could have been a warmer evening but the weather despite being cold held off rain and provided breathtaking views and photos.
10/10 found this tour a phenomenal value. Also of note food was a recommendation not included but given the price of the tour absolutely appropriate to do food on our own especially when being taking directly to a great option.

Blown Away
This was such an informative tour. Our guide Ava was extremely knowledgeable, passionate and thoughtful in her presentation of all the history of the Acropolis and tied that together with the Acropolis Museum, which was amazing. We would highly recommend!

A great day trip from Athens
Fantastic trip to Delphi. Elizabeth was a wonderful guide with a wealth of information as an archaeologist. We didn’t realize how much training these guides had to undergo and appreciated how much more we got out of the visit thanks to her. It was about 70 degrees F and sunny — a beautiful day. We were glad it wasn’t any hotter. Definitely recommend a wide-brimmed hat to protect your face and neck. Also bring sunscreen and water. We chose to climb up to the stadium, and it was well worth it. The water came in very handy after that trek. We also loved the little village where we were taken for lunch. We chose to not purchase the included lunch and found a place on our own. There are plenty of choices, many of which were much quieter which was more to our liking. We also recommend climbing to the top of the clock tower after lunch for spectacular views and photos. So far, this tour was a highlight of our trip.

Brilliant excursion- highly recommend
We had a brilliant time on this trip. We were picked up on time & checked on & off the boat at each stop. The crew were attentive, friendly & helpful. Explained where we were & what activities were possible. The lunch was excellent, could eat as much as you wanted & very tasty. On the way back Angelis played his bazooka & sang for us. Couldn’t fault it.

One of the best parts of...
One of the best parts of my trip to Athens! The tour was very well organized, and the guide was both friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I appreciated how they shared interesting stories, not just facts. It made the experience more meaningful. Highly recommend for first-time visitors!
