What are people saying about Amsterdam

A tour with a local!
Wow! What a treat to have a local, Sharon, guide us around her little village. This tour was our highlight of Amsterdam! So cool to see the last operational paint mill in the world after a clog making demonstration and cheese tasting. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

It was a very good day...
It was a very good day trip. Said and Jay took really good care of us and along the way, explain all the history and important facts about The Netherlands and Amsterdam and Giethoorn. The arrangement was very lovely. (Bonus: we stopped at a tulip field improntu)

Keukenhof Garden and Convenient Bus Ride
We loved our Keukenhof Gardens visit April 8 and had perfect weather! Definitely recommend going and using Hop On Hop Off through Viator was so easy. Well-organized line for receiving bus tickets and garden tickets using the vouchers sent to us ahead of time with exact instructions and map link for arrival at This is Holland using the free ferry behind Amsterdam Centraal Station. We spent about 3 hours walking and taking photos of the gorgeous tulip/hyacinth/daffodil displays. The air smelled lovely! Could have spent more time as many photo op spots set up throughout the gardens but they were very popular and by mid-day the gardens were packed. Plenty of clean bathrooms throughout the gardens and lots of places to get food and drinks. Bikes also available for rent. Well worth the fee for convenience of bus to and from Amsterdam. Plenty of buses back every 30 min.

Beautiful day
Diana and Dennis were wonderful! At first we thought 3.5 hrs at Keukenhof was going to be too long but we didn’t even make it all the way through. Beautiful sights at both stops without the stress of figuring out how to do it on my own. Highly recommend!

Amsterdam is a fantastic base for exploring not only the Netherlands but also neighboring Belgium, as both UNESCO World Heritage-listed Bruges and the capital, Brussels, are easy Amsterdam day trips. Other great day trip options highlight Dutch country classics, from Keukenhof tulips to Zaanse Schans windmills via dams, dykes, cheesemakers, and clog factories. Try porcelain-making Delft, cosmopolitan The Hague, or Rotterdam, the Netherlands’ second city for a more urban day out. Whether your tastes run to food or culture, nature or history, there’s an Amsterdam day trip with your name on it.
