If you dock early, we will depart at the scheduled ticket time above. We will ALWAYS ensure you are back at least one hour before your ship departs.
- Holyhead operates either JETTY (with a courtesy shuttle bus) or TENDER methods of disembarkation. In either case please disembark as quickly as possible using either a TENDER or a JETTY SHUTTLE BUS and we will meet you at the ARRIVAL GATE in our yellow, BUSYBUS jackets.

Fun tour guide and driver, very informative about history of the castles and areas we visited. We did have rain at the most beautiful spot the Ogwen valley but the weather is not controllable. Would recommend as we saw a lot in a little amount of time. My favorite was the Caernarfon Castle- could have spent all day climbing and seeing it all.

More emphasis on geographical sites. Could have deleted one of 45 minute duration in order to expand time at the castle. Turned out we did not have enough time to meaningfully visit the castle and have lunch; should’ve been a two hour stop. Otherwise, the driver was friendly, knowledgeable, but could not provide more in depth tours. Made sure to get the bus back on time to get back to the ship as a shore excursion.

We completely understand wanting more time at the castles and for lunch. As this is a scheduled day tour from Holyhead, we do need to stick closely to the timings to ensure everyone returns to the ship on time. The tour allows for visits to both Caernarfon and Conwy castles, with stop durations listed under our booking details, and please note that entry to the castles isn’t included in the tour. We would love to stay longer at each site if we could!

The sites visited were wonderful. It was a well thought out route making sure we saw the more interesting sites. Our guide Shelly and driver Phil were the best team we have ever had. We have traveled all over the world and taken countless excursions but this was the best one ever! The bus was clean and in great shape, Phil did a great job, not too fast, not too slow. We were traveling with another couple and we all agreed if the tour had been just sitting with Shelly all day talking we would have loved it. She is by far the funniest and most attention grabbing guide we have been with. Usually on a tour at some point we say “wow I wish the guide would be quiet for a while” but not this time. Everyone on the bus was laser focused on her every word. Her stories were a perfect mix of humor and fact. Well enough said, if Shelly and Phil get to read this review we want to thank you for the best shore excursion we have ever experienced.

This was our tour guide's first trip with Viator; so she was not as familiar with the tour. I think we missed a lot because of this. She was a lovely person, Linda, and Kyle was an awesome driver, but I don't think we got the best of the highlands as promised. She kept playing music, which was very loud to fill the time.

We had a day spent on the bus with an entertaining and informative tour guide. Frank kept us alert with his game of counting black sheep which are very rare sight in Wales. On our long drive in the countryside, Frank shared Welsh history. We stopped in a charming town to have a cappuccino and scone at a historic hotel. We then visited the Caernarfon Castle, home to the Royal Welch Military Museum. We had some time to walk around the town and enjoy some homemade ice cream. There was a fun stop at the train station with the longest name I have ever seen.

While the countryside is beautiful I felt the stops on this trip only had one purpose and that was for the travelers to spend money. One stop only had one place to eat/shop and it was part of the bus parking lot. Again, the countryside was beautiful.

The scenery surrounding Mount Snowden is spectacular. Carnarfon Castle is well preserved and amazing. Our guide was Mark and he was very knowledgeable . This excursion is highly recommended

The choices for things to do in Holyhead were limited, but I'm glad we took this tour. Conwy was a quaint town to walk around and we could have spent more time in Snowdonia. Our shore tenders were very delayed, and I appreciated how the bus waited for everyone before departing.

Snowdonia National Park was my favorite. My least favorite was the Walled City. If I had to do it over, I would’ve immediately beelined for the castle for a tour. There wasn’t enough in my opinion to see otherwise. By the time I thought of it, I had wasted time by going to the bathroom and pendling around.

What a great way to see the countryside on a comfortable bus. We also saw several old medieval towns and castles and a beautiful nature walk with views and waterfalls. Definetly worth it and very friendly guide with great narrative!
