Beautiful trip along the canal and great views going over the aquaduct, even had a little stop to head down to the river. Ella our guide was very informative and helpful, especially for jump starting our car afterwards for us. Thank you to the whole team for helping us get home!

VIATOR MEETING POINT IS INCORRECT! Call Bearded Men Adventures direct for the correct W3W location! The trip itself was brilliant, our guide was very friendly, helpful and informative. Another tick off the bucket list!

Looks good as I saw lots of other people doing the activity but we arrived and Viator had sent us incorrect arrival location and had miss-booked us. We had 122 mile round trip for nothing. My advice is do not trust Viator and call the provider directly to confirm your booking. I had repeated confirmation emails including on the morning of my trip that were completely false! Horrid experience.

We were given an outdated meeting point from the booking site, meaning we missed the activity. The provider confirmed the details were wrong but we’ve been stuck in refund ping-pong, and it’s now been rejected. Very disappointing for what was meant to be a special occasion.

Relaxing trip doable for everyone who dates to step in a canoe. Even with little fear of heights you will have no problems.

This was a really fun day out, the sun was shining, there were lots of baby ducks on the canal, and generally a lovely atmosphere. Our guide Harry was great for keeping up the banter and we overall had a great time.

We booked through Viator ,the start point of the activity given to us was incorrect which therefore meant we were unable to take part as it was a timed activity .When speaking to the provider they explained that they had notified Viator of a change in starting point. I have raised this as an issue with Viator who have yet to let me know the outcome . In hind sight I should have booked directly with the provider ,it would have been cheaper and we’d have been able to take part in our planned for activity . You live and learn !

Fantastic trip from start to finish. Met our guide Harry near the canal and he organised everything, getting the canoes in the water and giving a full safety brief. Then a quick lesson on paddling before a chance to practice in the water before setting off. He helped us get in safely and managed not to fall in! It was a small group, just me and my partner and 2 other plus Harry. He stopped off at points to tell us about the canal, aquaduct etc and after going over it and back we had some free time at the aquaduct where we went under to see it from the land and the visitors centre with time for a toilet break before heading back. Absolutely loved every minute of it and canoeing over the aquaduct was an amazing experience. Would completely recommend to all and definitely recommend Bearded Men Adventures. A huge thank you to Harry for a perfect afternoon canoeing!

Mike was our guide. We had a fantastic time. Mike was just brilliant. Personally I’d never done anything like this before. He was a brilliant tutor and we had a great time

We were booked to canoe across Pontcysyllte Aqueduct which was unfortunately closed due to maintenance. At first I was disappointed by this but the day turned out to be amazing. The tour was changed to canoe across Chirk Aqueduct instead and we got to canoe through 2 tunnels as part of the new route. Our tour guide Hewie was fantastic. He was very friendly but knowledgeable, making us all feel at ease from the get go. He made the instructions fun and let us all practice before setting off on the route. Everyone was safe and happy and he even threw in some fun games on our travels. The route was about 2 hours in total and it was a glorious day that me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed. We would both recommend this trip to others wanting something fun to do on a sunny day.

What an absolutely brilliant trip!! The host named Warwick was so personable, insightful, experienced and above all fun.
It's was a beautiful, calm trip and Warwick's kindness, coupled with overwhelming views made it a trip to remember. I dropped my phone in the canal, it came out of my pocket, noticed by another member of the group, everyone came together (a group of
12) and Warwick kindly took clothes off to retrieve the phone - absolute miracle really.
It's the following day now and I am using the actual phone to write this. It's working!!!

Besides the fact the entire trip was in the most beautiful scenery you can imagine, we had the best guide.

This trip was a fantastic experience! I booked this for my partner on his birthday and am so happy that I did. The day turned out lovely for it. Our instructor Joe was very informative and with me being absolutely afraid of heights guided me through with ease ! I would recommend this trip for anyone! I had a family emergency and called ahead to inform them that I couldn't attend the canoe tour. Despite the circumstances, they refused to offer any compensation or rescheduling, even though I reached out well in advance.

A really cool experience that not a lot of people can say they have done.
I was a bit put out that this is not really for *novice canoe people and that we were not aware boats with motors also still use the aqueduct. I was very stressed about having never canoed plus all the traffic, I dont feel like I enjoyed as much as I could have.

Joe our tour leader was fantastic. We had so much fun. His personality really added to our enjoyment. He showed us all the things we needed to do to be safe and kept an eye on everyone and helped along the way. My husband was a bit doubtful but warmed up quickly and said it was his favorite activity we did this trip by the end. Our boys loved it and Joe gave them lots of laughter and fun.
