Irresponsible tour provider

This is not a tour for anyone with disabilities or trouble walking. I booked a boat tour because my mother is disabled. The tour operator arrived 20-30 minutes late and didn’t provide clear instructions of where to meet the tour operator. They didn’t have stairs or a ramp to enter the boat. We had to walk across a plank of wood to enter and exit the boat, a literal 4 inch wide plank of wood, while the boat is moving in the water from the traffic of the lagoon. My mother was scared and basically had to barrel roll into the boat. Once the tour was over we asked how to exit the marina or get home and the tour guide said to just “walk straight”. We were in a dark private marina with no one around. There was no one around to ask where to go and the path to exit was littered with boating machines and materials. My mother tripped over a metal rack in the dark. She fell directly on her face. As she was bleeding and crying I had to run ahead to figure out where we could get a water taxi and leave her on the ground. When I came back she could barely move or get up. When you are in a foreign country and don’t speak the language it’s extremely difficult to explain an emergency situation. The operator couldn’t take 5-10 minutes to escort us to the exit which is impossible to find in the dark? I wouldn’t recommend this tour to anyone after the complete lack of customer service or caring. There are many tours in Venice to take - find one that cares about their customers before and after getting your money.

We are actually surprise reading this review as the day of the experience no concerns were raised in regards to the mentioned issues. Regarding the boarding location, the boat is docked inside a Marina, which for a boating/yachting activity, is the safest and more protected environment to get in and out from a boat. Regarding your concern about the accessibility, I want to highlight that we are welcoming people of all ages, however it is to the guest discretion to evaluate their personal condition and fitness for a boating activity. The experience it is not offered to people with determination as per experience page description. Regarding the incident occurred after the experience inside the Marina, despite we are really sorry to hear about it, I would liket to clarify that the event occurred outside of our boat and happend on a public ground which has nothing to do with our activity or under our control. In conclusion, I understand traveling with an old person with movement limitation can be challenging sometimes, reason why it is important to book the activity carefully ensuring the accessibility and feasibility ahead of time to avoid any disappointment later.

Had a fantastic time on the boat. There were 4 of us plus the boat captain. My brother and I, and then another couple, plus Captain Antongiulio. Captain Antongiulio was friendly and personable and a great guy. Would def recommend to anyone looking to enjoy some sights and great late afternoon boat ride.
