Amazing experience that I will always remember!!! Do it!!! It’s worth the drive alone out to the location in the elements - the snowmobiling is incredible on top of that.

    Fantastic day. Excellent...

Fantastic day. Excellent guide. Minibus took us to Finland, then we were briefed on how to use the snowmobile and off we went driving on the frozen lake. Stopped at the 3 border marker and another stop we were given hot berry juice and food. A memorable experience.

This experienced was one of the most rewarding and fun. Bailey was great and knowledgeable , he make us feel safe and enjoyable. His pictures were a plus. Thank you again Bailey for all you do. Thank you to Thomas for drives back and forth safe with his lovely Kayla. We love the drink and the lovely curry vegan food. Love it. I wish I can put 6 stars !

    Amazing snowmobiling adventure!

An amazing snowmobile adventure from start to finish. Be prepared for an early start. We met our guides, Jonas, Michiel, Jefta and Bogdan our driver at 6.15am from the bus terminal, boarded and set off to Finnish Lapland (Kilpisjarvi). We were very lucky to have a stunning weather day, blue skies and lots of sun. We approached Finland and the mountains looked pink from the sunrise. Absolutely beautiful. After suiting up; we were provided thermal snowsuits, boots, balaclava & mittens (If you still feel chilly after being outdoors for 10 minutes, there is the option to have a thermal coat to go over all of these layers. As someone who feels the cold this was greatly received. Do not be afraid to ask for the extra layer. When we suited and booted it was -9 when we arrived at the three-country borders the temp had dropped to -20 so I was very thankful of the extra layer. After getting dressed, we went through the safety procedures. We then got on to our snowmobiles and ventured onto the frozen Kilpisjarvi lake and rode through the picturesque forest to the three county border between Norway, Finland & Sweden. Our guide took lots of photos and when we stopped at the three country border had warm berry juice and biscuits. We took a different route back and came across a 'Sun Dog' ( a luminous, often colorful patch of light appearing about to the left, right, or on both sides of the Sun. Formed by sunlight refracting through hexagonal ice crystals in high, cold cirrus clouds, they look like "mock suns" and are most common when the sun is low) our guide said they were incredibly rare. We stopped and had lunch - an Asian bean curry ( A Norwegian ration pack). It actually tasted very nice. Much nicer than the Salmon version we'd had the night before. Arrived back, de suited and booted and got on the coach to go back to Tromso. Whilst on the bus our guides worked through/ edited all the photos they had taken throughout the day and we had them emailed to us later on that evening. A truly fantastic experience.

    We had a fantastic time...

We had a fantastic time on our trip. The weather was nice, our tour guides Jonas and Jefta were very friendly and experienced and they took us to some wonderful places. The mixture of driving on the lake at higher speeds or slower in the forest was a lot of fun We can recommend this trip to everyone!

    Must do!

We did the snowmobile experience with Chasing lights on Saturday, December 20, 2025 and would absolutely recommend. It is definitely an early start, but it's the only way the whole day is possible with the amount of light you have during this time of year. It was approximately a 2 hour drive to get to the snowmobiles. Our guide was Jefta. As we got closer to the location he was so kind and didn't just throw the bus lights on after we'd been in the dark for 2 hours. He slowly woke us up. As silly as it sounds, that made me so happy. I hate when people just throw the lights on. There were 15 people in our group, which was a good number. I don't think I would want to go with anymore. There are 3 good size restrooms at the property when you arrive. I recommend using them when you arrive before you put on all of your warm gear. They provide suits, boots, mittens, face masks, socks and helmets for you. Those are the basic words for them, but they are some intense warm items. I recommend using them all. Even with 3 layers of tops and pants on underneath and 3 pair of socks, my fingers and toes still got a little cold. After that you are briefed on how to use the snowmobile. Off you go. We did see reindeer from a distance. Once you arrive at the 3 country mark you get off and take photos, eat lunch, have a drink, can use nature for a bathroom if needed. I read mixed reviews about the stew that was provided for lunch. I'm a very picky person, so honestly didn't think I would eat it, but it was actually really good. I might have eaten 1/3 of the amount provided, so it is definitely a hearty portion. There were cookies and black current tea. At this point if you want to change drivers you can. Then you head back to basecamp. I read several reviews that they didn't feel like their time was long enough. I really feel like we were at the property about 4 hours from start to finish. It was a full day and we were glad we didn't have anything else booked that night before we were tired. I don't really know what else people could want from this experience. You go, see, experience and leave. It is definitely a pricey day, but worth every penny. We went back and forth on sharing snowmobiles or getting our own, ultimately we shared, but I think if we had to do it again we would just spent the money and gotten our own, when will you ever do this again? Also, Jefta was great. He was so kind and patient with everyone in our group when the rest of us didn't want to be. :). We received our professional photos before we were even back to our hotel that evening from dinner.

    Best excursion in the artic

    In The Bucketlist

    Neal_W, Dec 2025
Had a fantastic trip through the tundra of Norway,Finland and Sweden. our tour guides where great and very knowledgeable of the surroundings. They all worked well with their 2 groups, I would have given them a 5 if only we had a little more freedom to venture out instead of a straight line of snowmobiles, thinking this could have added to the experience of being on these machines, but all in all it was a good trip. and our Bus driver was excellent at his road skills in getting us there safe, truly a professional.

    MUST!!! Do in Tromso

    Megan_E, Dec 2025
What an experience! From start to finish tour was professionally conducted with breathtaking views all around. Bailey and Micheal made the tour with their leadership, friendliness and knowledge of the area. Heads up prepare for early start and 2.5 hour commute to Finland to start the snowmobiling. If in doubt - you won’t regret it!!!

    Snowmobile adventure

    Richard_P, Feb 2025
Long journey to the start point but is well worth it (expect an early start). We were split into 3 groups and had Jonas as a guide. You then go through Finish Lapland ending at the point where 3 countries meet (Finland, Sweden and Norway). You go across frozen lakes and snow covered terrain, stopping at various points along the way. Jonas took plenty of excellent pictures which are shared with you after the event. There’s also a food stop along the way. We shared a snowmobile so I drove there and the wife drove back. You are loaned plenty of warm clothing. All in all, an unforgettable experience.

If you’re having second thoughts, don’t worry just book it!

    Kristelle_l, Feb 2025
It was an amazing experience. For people like me and husband who normally travel for warmer climate, this was a great winter experience. The guides, Jonas, michiel, and jefta were all great. They made sure the tour ran smooth and safe. Very knowledgeable and kept the actual snowbile experience bearable in the cold. The 3 country region border was cool to see. We snowmobiled through the lake and that was cool on its own.

Beauty is breathtaking and Marius was awesome

    molly_s, Feb 2025
Marius is an excellent and informed guide. Packed a great warm curry stew and the cabin was perfect. Great at photographing the beauty and adventure. Only problem is if you get stuck behind slow drivers who keep you behind the group and GO WAY TOO SLOWLY. Happened to one of my sons.

    Eric_J, Jan 2025
An excellent trip, very well. Scheduled everything on time. Emphasis on keeping us warm and safety. We had a wonderful time. Really enjoyed seeing some of the Arctic. We had also left something, staff bent over backwards to be sure it was returned in a timely fashion. Thanks again for all your help

    Amazing experience!

    Jean_O, Jan 2025
A 2.5 hour bus drive into Finland followed by the snowmobiling and a 2.5 hour bus ride back into Tromso. Bring warm weather gear to wear under the snowmobile suit for extra warmth. Best for novice snowmobilers. Staff was great and the entire trip was amazing. 100% recommend.

    Excellent Experience

As a beginner riding a snowmobile they did an amazing job at guiding us, and being safe. It was really to see the views, and experience this in general. The food was great as well, and the guides were very friendly.

    It was ok. Just ok.

    Michael_O, Jan 2025
The experience was ok. Very safe. Very controlled. Logistical info provided was not very good. Bus ride to the location was 2.5+ hours each way and on the way back it was freezing cold. Guide was nice and friendly and definitely followed a lot of rules. Food was really good.

    It was a fantastic tour...

    Renato_B, Jan 2025
It was a fantastic tour in Lapland (Finland, Sweden, Norway) in a tranquil and beautiful landscape. Our guide Jafta was excellent and funny. He explained and guided the tour in a great way and made enough stops where we could take pictures.

Amazing! Brilliant tour guides and photos!

    Rhiannon_B, Jan 2025
Amazing experience! We absolutely loved this activity. Our guide was really friendly and knowledgeable, and took lots of professional photos along the trip which were emailed to us within a few hours! The snowmobiling itself was so much fun, and we were able to speed up across the lake, which was exhilarating. I could not recommend this enough!
