Overview
Drive your own dog sled pulled by huskies that love to run and cuddles in Tromso. Two people share each sled for an intimate experience while keeping costs down on this group tour. Travel over tundra and forests with great views of the Lyngen Alps or possibly the northern lights. Experienced mushers lead the trip with well-trained dogs and cozy sledding equipment for a joyful adventure.

- Bring warm winter clothing, in layers so you can adjust your clothing to the weather.
- You should be able to stand and move around on a sled for more than half an hour and have a minimal level of agility.

The staff was very friendly and had a very good knowledge of the dogs’ personalities rather than just their names. Several of the participants made frequent mistakes (not breaking correctly, etc) despite well articulated instructions, which unfortunately caused a lot of stops along the way. However, it was still a great experience overall!

No snow but still got to go. Instead of sleds we used buggies with tires. It was great. Everyone is friendly and the dogs love the attention.

We had an unforgettable experience with the dogs! The entire adventure, from the thrilling ride to getting to know each dog and giving them some well-deserved pets afterward, was just incredible. The dogs were so friendly and full of energy, and it was clear how much they love what they do. The team was equally amazing—so welcoming and knowledgeable. They truly made the experience special.

We really enjoyed the well organised trip. The busdrive itself takes a while but is more than worth it as you can see alot from the countryside. Very good instructions on how to behave on the dogsled, very warm clothes. The sledding in small groups of 4 sleds was in a breathtaking landscape. Aferwards we could cuddle the healthy and very happy dogs and had some nice cake and hot drinks in the tent with a bonfire. The dogs in this camp are in a very good condition (they do get training in summer aswell) and all of the lovely stuff do behave very responsible.

Das junge und sehr nette Team von Aurora Alps hat uns sehr gut betreut, angefangen von dem Transfer mit vielen Infos und unterhaltsamen Anekdoten zu Land und Leuten sowie zur Stadt Tromsö, der Kleiderausgabe Vorort und Einweisung am Schlitten, über die Betreuung während der Schlittenfahrt und dem Hundestreicheln bis hin zum Kaffee, Tee und Kuchen am Holzfeuer im Tipi danach, wo wir viel über die Hunde und das Camp erfahren durften. Die Schlittentour führte durch ein wunderschönes Gebiet im Schnee. Auf der Rückfahrt von Breiviskeidet gab es noch als Zugabe Delfine im Fjord zu sehen. Daumen hoch.

Très belle expérience personnes à l’écoute, dommage que nous n’ayons pas pu aller plus vite en traîneau mais ça restait quand même une super expérience le personnel était à l’écoute et très attentif si nous n’arrivions pas bien avec le traîneau donc top !

Excellente excursion. Les explications de la guide étaient très complètes. Nous avons fait une ballade de plus d’une heure 30 et avons pu passer encore un bon moment avec les chiens après la promenade. À faire sans hésiter
