We were able to get fully inside a grotto which was absolutely magical! Our guide was super lovely and answered all our questions. The prosecco and classic almond cookie were quite nice.
The boat was a little run down, and not the one pictured. It was a very bare bones set up. But we had wooden benches, and shade.

Scenery was beautiful
Meeting point not well marked with no signage
Our hotel had to call to confirm where we were to meet
Captain was friendly but not proficient in English …also no microphone so most of us missed what he was saying
Very little information as to what we were seeing or the significance of the location
Warning about swimming….my daughter and another person on the tour were stung by jelly fishes….we later learned that this is very common …captain was unfazed and had nothing on board such as cold water or ice …
My daughter was in terrible pain for two days. The stingers are still in her body …
The swim was only a few minites… just look before you leap ..apparently jelly fish are plentiful and could be spotted from the boat

The two boatsman really had a good time and were entertaining, Jeff was poor. They were quite gracious and did everything they could to make us comfortable. We have a disabled lady with us and they were incredibly nice to her.

Tour was supposed to be in English but it was 90% done in Italian. The name of the tour is deceiving as there was nothing Dolphin related and we were told we were going to see Dolphins, imagine the sadness of a 3 year old when she found out she wasn’t going to see you soon Dolphins. Some other tours went inside the caves, ours didn’t even come to them.
Very disappointing tour. Not worth the money

It would have been a 5 but the ocean was very rough and I particularly don't like that the rest of the passengers loved it but it was very rough fir me.. getting splashed with a lot if water
Our captain Favio was great he did an awesome job maneuvering and getting us into smooth water and the almond cookies were amazing with the Prosecco! The view and the 2 grottos were beautiful when the ocean calmed down!

There are many highlights when traveling to Sicily and particularly in Taormina. Our boat tour with Delphio was one of the best part of our trip. Not only was our captain knowledgeable but he was kind, funny and loved sharing with us some of his pieces of paradise. Even if we were just at the beginning of the season( mid March) it was warm enough to soak the sun in a beautiful bay with a glass of Prosecco. Take note that if it’s a little chilly in Taormina it is warmer by the ocean. You can also access the meeting point from Taormina for less than 2 Euro on public transport and they drop you just a few meters from the pier.
I cannot recommend enough this boat excursion and I would highly recommend Delphio.

Swimming and caves were cool Guide had an energy that was infectious and he was very informative. Two hours was optimal for the tour.

The boat was a little hard to find (since my Italian is not so great); but, when we finally located the tour operator, things went very smoothly.
There were approximately a dozen people on the boat, and we were shown many of the unique features along the coast, including pulling into one cave, and close to the others as we motored toward Isola Bella.
It would have been nice to swim at several of the coves (because it was nearly 35°C), but eventually we picked up a mooring and had approximately 20 minutes to swim and enjoy the cool blue water.
On the trip home, there was Prosecco served by our captain, Delfio.
We met some wonderful people on the journey, and would certainly do it again.

I booked the trip on Sunday for a 6 pm sunset trip that day. The boat owner then called to say he could only do 4pm and we had to cine then. I told him this was not possible as we had other plans then but he kept saying come at 4, 6 is not possible now. I said I wanted a refund but he refused to give me one and says I had to contact via tour for the refund

Beautiful tour. Simple boat but nice host. Would be good if they provided towels for swimming. Prosecco was a nice touch.

The boat trip was fantastic - we had a great skipper! The meeting place wasn't really clear, and there wasn't much detal in the information about what we were seeing. We mainly went for the ride and the swimming so was great for us. We took our own snorkels/masks and saw loads of fish.

Great tour and really efficiently run by Daniele and team. Value for money.
One tip would be to organize your transport to and from Giardini Naxos if you’re staying in Taormina to avoid having to wait however nothing to do with tour company

Impossible to find!!! Which is without a doubt the most frustrating thing. (Who is the operator? Where? What 'bare' are they next to????) We were lucky that Daniele is clearly well known, else would would likely still be wandering the port.......
That said: trip was great. Good care, experience, stories and stops. Would recommend - but give yourself 30 mins to find the boat.......

De boot was vertrokken zonder ons. We waren nochtans op tijd. Hoe de klantenservice te bereiken is ook een groot vraagteken. Boeken en betalen ging wel vlot. We zijn dus gewoon ons geld kwijt. Een schande.

La simpatia di Carmelo è stato il tocco in più a quanto già di bello ha da offrire il tratto di costa che abbiamo visitato. Un tuffo in quel mare cristallino, l'aperitivo sulla barca... davvero due ore che ricorderemo non solo per le foto!
