Beautiful island, nice people, not great snorkeling.

The people were lovely and the views and swimming were amazing but we signed up for a tour in English and the guide knew almost no English. Also, the water was beautiful , warm and clear but the snorkeling was not great. Very little fish diversity. We made a special trip to Lampedusa because we read the snorkeling was great. Loved the island but it was not what we expected.

Dear visitors, we remember well the day of your tour, as it was a wonderful day but it was dictated and influenced by the tense mistral wind. You've almost always been on the fly and you've always received the translation of everything you've seen. I always made sure to her husband that he understood everything he said and only then continued in Italian for the remaining 98% of our guests. Even at the time of the fruit refreshment, where the poetry of his name is touched on Sciatumia, I was worried that a friend would translate everything, even if it wasn't about the tour. Everyone on Sciatumia has always received a lot of attention in English and everyone has always been satisfied. I'm a diving instructor, and no one on tours has more experience than sciatumia, so you were on the most experienced boat. The mistral forced us to stop wonderfully for bathing, but on the sand, in the south-southwest part of Lampedusa, it is obvious that there could not be a great variety of fish on a sandy bottom that is always a few meters deep. I remember her husband wearing a life jacket while snorkeling - so I don't think you had much research into fish recognition. We deserved a different evaluation regarding the tour, the comfort of the boat, the quality of the lunch, as well as the climate that we are able to establish on the boat, among all our guests, who embraced you in a warm and affectionate harmony all over Sicilian!!!. We cannot be responsible for your snorkeling skills, or in the presence or absence of water from those reached, on the size and variety of the fish you have met or only seen... maybe you have missed trigons, crouched under the sand and only with your eyes out! or maybe you have missed the owl fish, with their large and colorful wings, but cleverly confused with the color of the bottom. We recommend a diving course, so you can go diving in the Mediterranean, or maybe even a swimming course. We could certainly perfect our English, but please go back to Sicily, because it takes the right heart to know how to listen and see... and Sicily certainly has a lot to teach you. Thank you for being with us, we remember you happy in everything, during the day... maybe leaving has upset you a little, sorry. You still deserve 5 stars from us!, we will cherish the memory of yours, even if they did not evaluate our tour, like the hundreds of people who climbed Sciatumia, It's also English-speaking. Good life! ( We also point out that in no boat in Lampedusa would you have had the English translation of everything you saw.)

This boat tour was amazing. Gianfranco was very welcoming from the first minute you came on board. The places that we visited were beautiful, loved how Gianfranco explained with detail every location we visited. The food was amazing, and i enjoyed the company that we had on board. We made some good friends. I'm definitely coming back next year for the sunset tour.

The tour was very good, however it was not in English so we did no understand a lot. If the tour is advertised as English then it should be in English.

Good morning dear Robert and Marnie, I am happy to hear from you and thank you for this positive review. Regarding the tour in English, I have always translated for you every important information about the tour, during navigation and stops for the bathrooms. On our boat we also do a lot of entertainment, so it was not possible to translate even the jokes and laughter throughout the day. Sometimes I turned to you and you were not very attentive, your Canadian accent of course, it was not very easy for my English. Maybe Marnie remembers my instructions to make the most of snorkeling inside the water cave, with a briefing novice, as a diving instructor that I am.... When Marnie returned confirmed the beauty of her snorkeling that followed my instructions perfectly. This is what happened in every place we visited. To make you feel even more part of the group on the boat, I asked to my friend Elisa for support...Interpreter by profession... who also translated the speeches at the dining table with the other guests and every joke of mine. I'm sorry you weren't satisfied with the English part of our tour, we tried to do everything to put you at ease, but we couldn't help but be Italian and especially Sicilian! Having a dedicated guide I think is a different service from what you can imagine having in a tour on a boat with 28 people, where each of them has the right to be closely followed , just like you, who for sympathy and generous humanity, we followed in everything in an even more particular way ... even in your long swims despite our siren calling you back to the boat, as established in the briefings in the various stops. We smiled for this, hugging you with even more sympathy, the important thing for us is that our guests are happy and enthusiastic, not a point less. We are waiting for you again, I will come to Toronto to perfect my american language 🥰:
