I had such a phenomenal day with Javier. If you’re interested in the history of Puerto Rico this man is really a one stop shop. His tour for me was the perfect blend of education, adventure, and beautiful sights. He was so professional, knowledgeable, and considerate. I cannot recommend his tour or him enough.

The tour was great and Javier was amazing! It’s a bit of drive to the waterfall and the petroglyph rock so it was great to have such a great guide take us on this private tour. Javier is also an archeologist so his insights made the tour so much more enjoyable.
Highly recommend this tour, it was worth every penny.

Javier is extremely knowledgeable. I learned so much about the history of Puerto Rico and its indigenous people and their customs. We saw petraglyphics, waterfalls and more. Can’t recommend this enough!

It was a real pleasure for me to show you and your daughters the island and it´s natural and cultural wonders. Hope you will someday comeback to the island to explore more wonders.

Javi picked us up at our hotel near the convention center. He took us on a journey to remember. He drove us through the center of the island stopping and showing us the native flora, shared stories about the Taino period/people, and took us on a hike to view the petroglyphs. We stopped for coffee, lunch, and dessert during our time together. We really connected with Javi and this was one of our top experiences during our week visit to Puerto Rico.

I thought it couldn't get any better when I took Javier's New Taino Route Tour, but the Sacred Rainforest Tour blew the scale. Archaeologist and historian Javier will take you up to the top of Puerto Rico and show and tell you about the culture, history, archaeology, birds and current events. He has a passion about Puerto Rico and shares it freely. Driving the winding roads up to the rainforest hypnotizes and calms with paint store shades of green and ivory karst terrain. It seems that mostly local folks come up to the jeweled island heart. Javier is a fabulous driver, has a gorgeous comfy car, and of course is a superb teacher. If you want to learn about Puerto Rico , this is the tour. You couldn't do this on your own and learn how "rich" "Port Rich" really is.

Very historical experience about the indigenous people of Puerto Rico. Loved it. The beautiful mountain scenery was to die for!!! Would definitely do the tour again.

Everything! Javier was the most intelligent guide we’ve ever had. Knowledgeable, charming, considerate.

Such an incredible tour. Our tour guide was more then what we could have asked for. We got to experience exactly what would have been missed on a regular trip and we were able to make and save many memories. There weren't lines to anything we visited and because its a private tour we got the opportunity to take our time and experience extra adventures when we wanted. The combination of excellent food, rich education on the history and culture, beautiful sites and the cherry on top of the best and most friendly guide we have had made this a absolute win! 10/10

We took this tour with our two kids ages 10 and 12 and really enjoyed it. There is a lot of driving involved, but Javier's vehicle was very comfortable and the kids enjoyed the tablets that he brought along. The kids' favorite stop was the waterfall and they enjoyed climbing up behind it. My husband loved getting to see the petroglyphs. I enjoyed the drive through the Toro Negro forest and I thought it was even more interesting than El Yunque -- waterfalls, beautiful flowers, and practically had the place to ourselves. Javier is very knowledgeable and passionate about Puerto Rico, and we felt like we learned a lot and enjoyed spending time with him. In addition, this was a great way to get into the interior of the island, and this really is off the beaten path. For the rest of our trip, whenever locals asked us where we'd visited they were always amazed that we'd made it to Jayuya. Also the petroglyph mural is are on private property way off the map, so certainly not something you would find on your own. There's a bit of walking and climbing around on rocks, but overall it's not physically demanding.
