I can say enough about how much we enjoyed this tour. Of course we had a perfect sunny windless day on the calm bay to start. Sofia enthusiastically told us everything about whales and patiently answered all our questions. And whales, we saw whales and more whales. They swam right up next to the boat. Wonderful experience that we definitely will not forget.

Luisa and our Chato were great. Luisa clearly has a great love of the whales and was a great source of information. While I'm aware we cannot guarantee anything when it comes to nature, it was disappointing not to get the great show I was hoping for, but this is absolutely NO fault of Salty Cabo and just the luck of nature. We did get to see some whales, though. I appreciated that when we encountered a mama and calf that were clearly not comfortable with the presence of a boat, we left them alone. Then we found a couple of other whales and stayed with them for a while. I would recommend this company for anyone in the San Jose area as it is much more convenient than going into Cabo San Lucas.

I did this tour twice! So that should say something right there! The first day was great, but we were back just short of two hours and the whales were active. A little disappointment there, as they could have stayed longer. Pictures were fantastic! Second day, we had whales “people watching” and just hanging around the boat. Spectacular watch!! And the guide/driver stayed out an extra hour. This guide’s pics were not great, but with the whales mugging for us, everyone got great pic/especially the couple with a GoPro who put it under water!

Amazing experience. Two whales played around our boat for over an hour. They extended our trip as it was impossible to leave this! Captain said it was the most amazing day in his 7 years. Can't wait to see the pics Monica sends us.

The tour guide Luisa was great, and the driver was safe and aware.
They did a great job. We went in April towards the end of the season, so we saw three whales. Yes, it was exciting. I would recomment this tour.

This was a great tour. We were lucky enough to see two groups of whales, and it was very exciting. The guide, Paola, was great and it was she who spotted the first group of whales. Very hard to do. We got up close and took some great photos. Mother, calf, and escort as Paola described the third whale. Paula gave us a lot of good information about the life of whales and the Eco problems they are facing. Our captain, Chato, also was great. The owner or manager, Roland, was very friendly and helped us get ready for our tour. My wife and I highly recommend this company.

The guide was excellent, the operators are environmentally conscious and have a deep respect for nature and discussed citizen science projects they are part of, I loved that aspect of the tour. Our kids loved it!

Excellent opportunity to see the magnificent Mexican humpback population up close. On our morning outing, we followed several mother and calf pairs and saw 6-10 individual whales. We listened to them sing with the hydrophone and learned about their anatomy, migration and communication patterns from our expert guide, Sofia. We were treated to mother and baby tandem breaching, fluking and lots of spouting. We even found a family of common dolphins in our way back to the marina. Seamless boarding and easy to find meet up location with bathrooms! The morning was a 10/10 experience for our parent/teens family group.

Our tour guide, Louisa, was wonderful and informative. The manager of the San Jose Cabo location, Roland, was very kind. We enjoyed the boat ride and saw many whales...just the top part and a couple of times the tale. Don't expect to see the whole body jumping up out of the water.

I appreciated our guide, a marine biologist who was very knowledgeable about humpback whales in the area of San José del Cabo. She also had an excellent camera and sent us all the photos (without charge) in a timely manner. I did not have to worry about getting that great shot of the whale and could just enjoy the experience.

It was magical being able to see the mama and calf surfacing right next to the boat, such amazing animals! Our guide Paola was knowledgeable and passionate about whales. We also enjoyed hearing the whale sounds from the microphone!

We took 6 whale watching tours across 5 days. This was the only one we found with excellent ratings in San Jose del Cabo. The tour lived up the the excellent ratings. We actually took both their public tour and their private tour. Both were well done. And on the public tour, it did not feel crowded, as the boat was large enough for more people than they limit it to. The captain and guide were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Good job! Great whale watching!
