Fantastic afternoon boating, learning and seeing the great humpback whale in action. We went on this tour on April 19th and the whales were definitely still present. Sophie and the Captain were very friendly and Sophie, an oceanographer, is extremely knowledgeable about all things ocean life. At one point she dropped in a hydrophone into the water and we could listen to the whales singing. So moving. We had an amazing time and was the highlight if our trip. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.

Salty Cabo was fabulous!

Paola was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide! We wanted to be away from the craziness of the San Lucas marina and our efforts were rewarded. The entire process was effortless and wonderful. I recommend contacting Salty Cabo directly, however, because Viator isn’t helpful to modify or change your excursions.

Disappointing

There was a major debacle yesterday. We were informed last week to meet at 1:00 rather than 12:00 because of an inspection. When we arrived at 12:45 we were told it would be 1:30. Then at 1:30 we’re told it would be 2:00. Went to dock with tour guide and couldn’t find boat or captain. Finally got another boat with another captain then they disappeared. Finally Roland came and gave us some of our money back. Finally left on boat about 2:30. Saw one group of dolphins and at very end saw one of whale spout and jump and then couldn’t find again. Sophie was a fine guide but so late in the day, there just weren’t enough whales around. We were so disappointed. We have had good luck with Viator in the past but not this time.

From arrival at the office, the short walk to the boat, and on the water everyone was friendly knowledgeable and professional. Once we were out on the water it wasn't long until there were humpback whales spotted. Sophia set up the hydrophone and we were able to listen to the singing. There were several breaches and quite a few tails in the air as they made their deep dives. We found the marina at San Jose del Cabo to be a welcome change from Cabo. The 25' boat was roomy and comfortable with excellent viewing and canvas sun shades. Doing the private tour was well worth it. You will have a guide and a driver.

Best whale watching trip in 40 years! ! ! !

Ronald and Marianne are consummate professionals. The boat was very comfortable, clean as could be, and the Captain knew the waters like the back of his hand. Marianne's knowledge of the whales, sea turtles, and the Sea of Cortez was amazing. Not only did we see whales but also sea turtles! We were provided with photos of the trip gratis which was an extra plus. This is an absolute MUST adventure for anyone who wants to experience the real thing.
