The excursion was awesome!!! The buggy excursion could have been a little bit more organized in the beginning. The transportation through Viator was concerning. On our way back to the resort, our driver pulled over and all he said was “one moment” and 15 minutes later we were told to get out of the van and to get into another one which was unsettling. We ended up getting back to our resort safely but there was a lack of communication that made it uncomfortable.

We were picked up at the hotel and taken straight to the buggies! You’ll see the before and after pictures! Take clothes that you can throw away and no purses as there is not a place to put them. We played in the mud for 2 hours tried some local coffee, chocolate etc jumped in the water in the underground cave and headed to the beach to do a slight rinse off! Was a super fun time ..guides were professional and kept everyone safe! The photographer was fantastic and caught amazing gun shots of everything and everyone!!!!

We had a great time! Got to see/taste/experience something new! Always excited for new. Our guide Kitson Was great he was very helpful made sure we were safe at all times and explain how to organize our time wisely. Would most def. Do again with this guide just need better equipment, they are old not taken care of but over all we did it and had fun.

We booked a 3 person buggy for this adventure. When we arrived the gentleman that gave us the waivers to sign was very professional and courteous. He showed us where to wait and give the waivers to the guide when he arrived. The guide approached the waiting group and was loud and obnoxious, using obscene language (I assume his effort to hype up the group). He was very aggressive, arrogant and very touchy touchy ( had to be told several times do not touch me while speaking to him)he then instructed us to follow him to the vehicles. Some ppl booked ATV but my group and two others had buggies he insisted on putting everyone on ATV and was dismissive and rude when we were explaining this even swatting our hands away when we tried to show him reservation. Turns out he was drunk!!!
Another guide stepped up and got everyone situated properly and gave safety instructions and we were off. Do not remember his name but he was very professional and the rest of the tour went well. He made sure at every stop to walk to each vehicle and check before proceeding to next destination. He even allowed extra time at Macao beach

From our hotel in Bavaro the location was close. Pick up time was prompt and smooth. The UTV’s don’t look like the ones in the photos, they are just rail buggies. There’s only a few minutes before you stop at a place to shop, then a few more minutes to the beach, then a longer ride to the cave. The speed is slow so not a great deal of fun happening while driving at a slower speed in a single file line. Our tour have a couple ATV’s they put in the front which seemed to slow things down even more. The guide Jon did a good job keeping everyone together and we all made it back dirty & safe!
Take towels for your but in the buggies, hats, goggles, bandana. They don’t offer anything, if you want it you need to bring or buy it.

Luis and his staff were great at guiding us . Only down side was they took too long to get us to our excursion they didn’t have enough wavers for everyone to sign . Also, the buggies were not the same as website pictures.

We enjoyed going off road. We went and taste chocolate and coffee and bought MamaJuana. We continued on our adventure and went to a beautiful beach that the water was crystal clear and fine sand called Playa Macao where from afar you can see a gorgeous cave. Just something out of a Pirates Movie! Highly recommend this tour!

I was hoping this would be my top two tours of my time here this week but unfortunately; it wasn’t. Our driver picked us up on time from our resort and dropped us off maybe 15-20mins early so we were aware we would have to wait for at least a little before we got started. That was fine as we were able to get settled, go over the release form, ask questions about the tour, etc. We arrived a little after 11 am, scheduled for 11.30a we didn’t get to our UTV’s until 12.40-12.50p after being told that the entire experience would last between 3.5 - 4hrs. After waiting so long to finally start the tour our first stop was the beach which was supposed to be the last stop. We get there and the tour guide is immediately introducing the vendors we can shop with, by food/drinks, take photos… we stayed here for under 20mins. We drove to the coffee farm, had some different samples, and departed after 20-30mins. After we headed to the cenote for a few minutes. After that we drove back, arriving before 3 pm at the camp where we could buy drinks, tip and view photos.
I’m not sure if it was our guide, the lateness or what but this tour could have been so much better, I think much of the other guests were annoyed as well. This was one of those ‘you create your own vibe’ type tours because I came with family, had I been solo it properly would not have been that fun.
Some tips: Try not to forget your bandanas & glasses but if you do, they are $10 apiece on site. Bring some water or snacks, they have some onsite at the end of the tour for $3 apiece, or vendors along the way you can shop with. If you’re interested in photos, bring cash to avoid the added $11 tax added when using a credit card. Even though the cenote is included as part of this tour life vests for some reason are not and needed to be purchased separately. Everything is priced in $USD vs DOP.
Also, as stated in a previous review, the vendors are overwhelming on this tour to the point that I truly believe the routes we took were intentional. In all my trips to DR or anywhere really or all my activities this week alone this was my only tour where I feel like we stopped just so vendors could approach us on top of everything being an add-on.

Dear Customer,
We are sorry for the delay, before doing your activity and we apologize. From what we see, it was what bothered him the most. Thank you very much for her comment, AS IT HELPS US IMPROVE WHAT IS BAD

The beach was beautiful, cave was refreshing and the coffee, Tea and coca was awesome. But at each location I felt harassed by the vendor. That what made the trip not enjoyable.

Husband loved this! We were doused in mud when riding through deep puddles. We did not get the Polaris we booked. Instead we got a low riding dune buggy that gave us a lot more exposure to mud. Wear clothing you would be OK throwing out when done. The mud puddles are clay mud that stains and is hard to get out. Wear swim shoes or sandals that are easy to clean. Bring your own bandana and sunglasses or you will have to purchase them for $10 each. The location was clean and water bottles were provided. Bring a waterproof bag for money and phones. Pictures were awesome!!! The beach was beautiful, underground cave with pool was fun to jump in, and the chocolate and coffee tasting were delicious. Bring cash or have a credit card or Apple Pay to purchase coffee and chocolate if interested. It was too muddy for me, but my three boys loved it! Love that they had a four seater so we could go as a family. Staff was super helpful I am very kind!

Fue una experiencia muy divertida. Terminas con lodo hasta en tus pensamientos, pero es parte de la aventura que te saca de la rutina.
Paradas estratégicas típicas turísticas que le dan un complemento interesante.
Muy recomendable.
