This was aweful. It was promoted as horseback riding on the beach, which was the only reason we booked it. The horses were not allowed on the beach. Basically we road the horses about 200 meters. The beach was ok, lots of trash and debris in the sand. Then we went coffee tasting which was just a ploy to buy things. It was pouring raining. We were soaked and they still wanted us to go to the caves (cenote). I would not recommend. They were hot wiring the buggies to start them. Soooo ghetto.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience. First, we provide horseback riding along the beach as well as through the forest. Most times we do it along the beach because we know how much people enjoy it; however, another excursion company recently broke the rules by taking their horses into the water. Because of this, the police that oversee tourism in the area banned all companies from bringing their horses to the beach for a period of time.
Second, this beach is kept very clean. The only thing that you would have seen on this beach is seaweed from the ocean.
Third, we don't skip stops on the tour just for rain. We can't control the weather, but some people like the rain because the mud makes it fun!
Finally, this is how the homemade buggies work in DR. Having the wires in the back helps tour guides and mechanics quickly help the customers.

Skip the horseback riding. It is a 200 yard walk down a gravel road to a beach and then a 200 yard walk back. Horses did not appear to be well cared for. The buggies were fun, the cave was cool. The plantation was educational, but items were EXTREMELY overpriced compared to local costs at the malls in the area.

I Would Give This Business 5 Stars But Unfortunately We Were Scammed During This Excursion It’s Not all His Fault But It’s Sad How Much We Thought He Cared But in The End He Didn’t Reply To Our Concern. We Started Off ATV riding Which Was Nice, Visited The Cave Which Was Nice As Well Until It Started Raining Really Bad And He Still Continued Through The Rain. The Last Part Was On The beach, once We Got There Me And My BF ordered Food and We noticed they Made Him Tap His Card Twice we Figured because His Phone Service wasn’t Working to Well. Come To Find out They Made him Pay For Our Food TWICE! Which was a Little Over $100USD.. We Sat At The Meet Up Spot Explaining to The coordinators What Happen And The Reached out To The Restaurant Which They Were Supposed to Be Refunding and Said They Have No USD so we Stated ok Give Us DOP and we Can Switch It To USD they told us They Can’t Do That ( Talking To The Excursion Coordinator & He was Translating to Us) so They Sent Pics Of Them Allegedly Canceling One Of The Payments and Using My BF’s Bank He should’ve received a notification But Again His Service wasn’t Working Too Well. So We Head Home! CRAZY THING IS the man that was talking to the restaurant and was the leader of the excursion GOT IN THE SAME VAN AS US AND DIDNT SAY A WORD TO US THE WHOLE RIDE! we Get Dropped Off to Our Airbnb and My Bf Gets on WiFi Still No Notification. We Wake Up The Next Morning he Checks and The status Went From Pending To Completed! I Sent The Excursion Coordinator A Message and he NEVER RESPONDED! SMH.. it’s Crazy How They Do Things and I Wouldn’t Be Surprised If He Knows what’s Going on at That Restaurant!

We informed all the customers at the beginning that Macao Beach is a public there are several salesmen and restaurants so if they want to buy something make sure they know the price, the tour guide is not the one who is going to sell on the beach

I went with my 2 kids and wife, we noticed that their was a big lack of organization and maintenance. The horses seemed to be very malnourished and tired. The ATVS were pretty beat up and falling apart. Overall it was a nice voyage and experience.

The entire experience a dissapoinment. The horse back riding is less than 5 min. The buggy cars are old and broken for the most part and are not safe to drive especially if you have kids with you. The guides are rude and trying to get money from you if something happen to the buggy cars even thought they know that te broken. I’ll never book another experience with them again. We were trying to have fun and enjoy with family and friends and instead we had a horrible time.

Thank you for taking the time to share how you feel with us. It is not possible for the horseback riding to have taken less than 5 minutes because the distance of the trail takes 15-20 minutes to complete.
In the briefing before the excursion starts, we explain to all participants about how they need to drive safely, and if they cause damage to the buggies due to their poor behavior, they can be held responsible. We have video and reports of your behavior at our tour, and this is why the tour guides approached you about the damage you caused to the vehicle. You were upset and refused to pay.
I’m sorry that we are not the place for you. I hope you can find a different company to book with the next time.

I had to delete my previous review because I was forced to write it by our guide before leaving the excursion (he waited for me to sign in and fill it out then took a picture of my review on his phone to ensure it was done). This made me feel a little uncomfortable and made me wonder how many other reviews have been coerced by the staff. Overall the excursion was ok. It was fun and messy, get ready to get very muddy. We had a very short stop at the beach, went horseback riding on a local street just back and forth, and a very short dip in the cave (in the water for 2 minutes). My buggy stopped working a couple times but they switched it out and had no problems after that. Had a chance to purchase some coffee and chocolate at a local farm which was pricey but understandable given the limited options for the locals. Overall our guide Gary was helpful.

Our tour at 8:30am on Thursday November 13 was fantastic, except for the photos, for which we paid $100. The photo manager sent us in whatsup the sample photos with 100-300 kB. We left him two email addresses. When we contacted him yesterday (Wednesday November 19), he said okay okay he would send to us today. However, we still didn’t receive anything yet. Called and texted with no response. If you are looking for a nice tour with some decent photos, please be aware of our experience and perhaps try to avoid the photo part. Another family of us will send their review with update if we received the photos. Again, the other part of the trip was fantastic. I hope the delay of our photos was just a coincidence of overwhelmed amount. Wait and see.

It was a fun day. My only wish is that they didn't break up the small group, would have been more fun with others around. Also, be aware that the horse ride is not on the beach. All in all I would recommend this trip, but go with a friend(s).

Large crowd and everything felt rushed. Didn't do the horseback riding on the beach due to the large crowd. We stopped at places while on the ATV tour, but didnt have time to enjoy any food or markets.

You get a lot for your money. Our guide Joshua was so awesome. He made sure no was left behind, and everyone had a great time. Only slight complain would be that the car was late to pick us up and didn’t communicate that.

The overall experience was fun however as other people had mentioned in other reviews there were a few points that were a bit disappointing during this excursion. The first were the quality of the buggies - the one we had in particular the steering wheel would swerve making it very difficult to control the buggy at times. Also wanted to note on the booking it says we have an option of either buggy or ATV but when we got there it seemed that they only offered buggy’s. The second would be the horseback riding experience. It was a short walk to the beach and once we got to the beach, we probably only spent about 20 minutes of sitting there before heading out to the cave. The horses were hungry on the short walk and seemed a bit small which made me feel bad. The third would be the cave itself. It was probably because of the time that we went, but it was extremely crowded, and there were no secure areas to keep our stuff so me and my partner ended up not jumping into the cave due to being uncomfortable with the crowdedness and also having no place to safely store our items. Lastly, when we got to the store in the very beginning, we were interested in purchasing a few items and the clerk quoted us an extremely high price for very little items. I was able to negotiate it lower to a reasonable price however, the first quote really threw me off and I know this is probably an experience that will happen with majority street vendors when traveling but just as a reference if you do come here and buy things at the store when you arrive make sure to check on prices. Other than that, I would say it is a excursion that might be worth it when coming to Punta Cana just make sure to read reviews for any tour guide you book. We also bought all the pictures and it was a good price.

We had a great time with Gary and Reginial!! Our photographer "Peek at u" took amazing pics of us. We did buggy, beach, horse and cave- half day tour. Wish the horse ride was longer not a quick ride from the beach back to the buggy( 10 min or so) overall great would do agai!!

We booked and paid for the Horseback Riding and ATV or Buggy to Water Cave and Macao Beach. There were many problems, but the most egregious ones included that horseback riding was not offered. In addition, the ATV and buggies were in poor condition and unsafe. The tire tread was so low on some tire that the surface was smooth. The seats were torn. The steering wheel on our vehicle did not operate properly causing us to weave all over the road which became extremely difficult to control and dangerous. There were other vehicles were on the road that were not involved in the experience.

Be ready to get muddy! We did about a half hour ride on horseback then took the buggies down to the farm, cave and Macao beach. At the farm you get to try local goods like tea, chocolate and signature drink. The cave jump was refreshing after riding in the buggy for a little while, natural limestone and fresh water. Then you take a ride to the beach which was beautiful. Our guide Joshua was great!

Did this over my birthday trip with friends and family to the DR. While we did enjoy the activity as a whole, the horseback experience did not live up to expectations. The photos promoting that activity shows you literally on the beach coastline. That was NOT what we received. It was more of a road behind the beach with beach views. We did not go on the actual beach itself and the ride lasted 10 minutes at best. Please read carefully as we didn’t know that or that the water cave visit was in and out. You jump in, climb out and head back to your ATV or buggy. All the while you are trying to navigate through an aggressive crowd of people and children trying to sell you things, ask for money or give you “pretend” free items. Loved the activity but would have hoped for longer times switch the other two activities.

Okay I’m going to be honest - The tour guide was about 25 minutes late then we had to pick up other people. Was told it was traffic cool okay I get it but again we were waiting for over 20 minutes past the pick up time. It would have been nice if that was mentioned. The ATVs were great it was a lot of fun and you do get MUDDY which I didn’t mind. Our tour guide Joshua was also great. It was definitely a packed experience with other companies. There was a lot of stopping which was kind of annoying but once we started moving it was fine. I wish we had more time at the cave it seemed kind of rushed because it was a lot of people! My only disappointment was the horseback riding. It clearly advertises that you get to ride on the beach, and there are pictures of other peoples experiences with horses on the beach. We literally got off the ATV and rode the horses down a dirt road to the beach and were told to get off…. Was less than a 10 minute ride. This was one thing I was really looking forward to doing. Maybe if the driver was on time it could have been planned better and we could have rode the horses first. I also agree with some reviewers that the horses seem to be kind of skinny. Overall I think you all should do better planning and have an organized itinerary at making sure your drivers arrive on time regardless of “traffic”. I would have given 5 stars but honestly was very disappointed by the horseback riding.

We booked as a large group of 12 and felt like they were trying to force us into 3 vehicles. After a lot of back and forth we were given the best option to satisfy our expectations. Guide was very good. Vehicles were a little old and shaky compared some companies we saw during our tour.

The buggy ride was fun. Unfortunately the horses did not look well and the ride was up and down a road and back. The water cave was over crowded and did not feel too safe to go in. The guides were great and did the best with what they had.
