Itinerary
Begin with pickup at your Prague accommodations at the time of your choosing, then make the 1-hour trip to Terezín in a limousine with a private driver/guide. Stop at the entrance to Terezín to pay entrance fees, which are not included in the tour, then continue to the Small Fortress, which served as a Gestapo-run prison for roughly 32,000 political prisoners during the Second World War.
Explore the Big Fortress that was transformed into a ghetto in wartime, a transit point for almost all the Czech Jewish people murdered by Nazis. Visit the Ghetto Museum to learn the stories of some of the people who were imprisoned in the former fortress, and see the men’s and women’s dormitories.
Visit a secret chapel where ghetto inhabitants held hidden services, then make a final stop at the Crematorium. Throughout the tour, you’ll hear stories about life in Terezín during the Second World War, from the uncounted tragedies and losses, to the camp’s orchestras, jazz ensembles, schools, artists, and camp magazine.
Please note: entrance fees for Terezín are 215 CZK for adults, 165 CZK for children 6–18, students with identification cards, and seniors over 65. Family tickets for up to two adults and three children are 425 CZK.

An amazing experience filled with knowledge and important history that all should visit. Our guide Petr was great ... knowledgeable and very engaging. He really knows his history and made great effort to point out specific parts during the tour that had significant historical significance.

This was a great experience. Our guide really did a fabulous job. It was very moving to hear his personal connection from his grandfather. Highly recommend.
Andrew_T, Nov 2025
The tour was very informative. Our guide Vaclav (?) was phenomenal. His family has personally lived through the atrocities so it was very moving to hear his family stories. The camp is very eerie. History than needs to be remembered
Siew_T, Oct 2025
Our guide Petr Kotlar was wonderful and made the tour very memorable and meaningful. He was very knowledgeable and dealt with difficult issues with sensitivity and empathy. We could not have asked for a better guide. Would recommend this tour to everyone.

Toured Terezin detention center with Va'Clav. He is very knowledgeable about 20th century and WWII History which was our focus.
Bret_A, Jul 2025
Pavel was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable and explained everything well. We learned a lot about this part of history. Highly recommended this company.
Alison_V, Jul 2025
About the Tour company – The ad was misleading. There was no limo. The tour was the most expensive in its class. We suggest they offer water since it’s over several hours and nowhere to buy water bottles.
The tour guide tried really hard. He shared a lot of information. He accommodated picking us up at one hotel and dropping us off at our new hotel.

The excursion was fine but our guide did not speak English clearly and repeated herself quite often and at times was confusing

This tour is well worth the price. Patrick, our guide, is extremely knowledgeable of the ugly history of what occurred during WWII at Terezin, Czech Republic.
David_B, May 2025
The tour was extremely thorough and very informative and moving. The Nazis tried to fool the entire world.

Amazing tour with lots of history of WW2 in prague, very sad to see and learn about what happened during WW2. Patrik my tour guide was very polite and friendly, very knowledgeable of the history of the concentration camp, would definitely recommend going on this tour.

Our guide Peter was outstanding and exceeded my expectations. It’s hard to impress me, but I was. He had a wealth of knowledge.

Very informative and emotional tour. Our tour guide, Paul, was very knowledgeable, although I do wish that he slowed the pace down a bit.

A visit to Terezin is a must do when in Prague. The small and large fortress are both worth visiting. Take time to go through the museum and see the hidden synagogue as well. Patrik was a great tour guide
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Thank you so much for another review, Lisa! Have a great day! Patrik

For a tour that cannot be described as “fun” because of the important and heartbreaking subject matter, Pavel did a fabulous job of educating us, engaging us, and exposing us to the fortresses and the stories of the horrors that occurred. He was a wealth of information and easy to listen to and engage with. Should we find ourselves in Prague again, I will ask for him as our tour guide for one of the many other tours offered by this tour agency. The entire day ran smoothly and efficiently!
The only side note I would add for clarification purposes is that the listing says “limousine” in one spot and then “car/van” in another. It was not a limousine, although it was a spotlessly clean and new vehicle. (Which is good because a limousine in a ghetto seems incongruous!)

Peter was one of the best guides we have ever had. Knowledgeable, sympathetic and kept us on track. A very necessary trip for any jew!
Response from Host, Oct 2023

See you next time!
Warmest regards! Petr

Patrik picked us up at our hotel, and was an excellent and extremely knowledgeable guide. The tour was very thorough, and led us through the history of the area (even the way to Terezin.) As a native of Prague, he also gave us great recommendations about food and activities in his hometown (and boy, did we need it after a walk through Terezin’s past!). We will highly recommend our experience with Patrik and Lucy Tours to our friends travelling to the area!
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Thank you so much for your kind words, Kim! I am glad you found the tour interesting! All the best, Patrik

Excellent information & highly recommended . Jan from Lucy Tours a wealth of knowledge. He made history come to life. One of the best tours I’ve booked with in-depth historical facts .
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Thank you very much for the review. Absolutely, Terezin is very important place to visit and I am very glad I could be with you there. Jan
Rochelle_N, Apr 2023
Our guide is very knowledgeable about Terezin which brought the place to life. It was horrifying but humanized by the inside facts and stories. We especially enjoyed having a private tour so we could go at our own pace. My only criticism of the tour was that our guide didn’t pick up on my own vast knowledge and up the details nor did he realize that we are Jewish.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Dear Rachell, Thank you very much for your kind words. Terezin is a difficult tour, it is a place with a tragic history, but it is so important to see it and I am very glad I was able to be your guide here. Petr

The most emotional moment was visiting the memorial for the ashes of all different concentration camps, that was extremely tough to my soul to digest……
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Dear Patricia, Thank you so much for this review.I am very glad I could show you this sad, but so important place. All the best and come back to Czechia! Peter
