The driver that picked us up was unfriendly, bothering on rude; and he was driving like a maniac.
The mini bus that we used throughout the day (thankfully with a different driver), had the sensors for a frozen door sounding constantly all the way to Kutna Hora, very distressing and annoying.
The guide was good, if a bit impatient.
The places we visited were exciting.

It was wonderful to leave Prague for this small town and see some amazing sights. If you want a quick reset from the city while in vacation in Prague, I highly recommend this one. Don't miss the chocolate shop!

Communication mix up about pick up. Another group joined us that we constantly were waiting for so we could move on. Lack of communication when we stopped to eat: was it included? Then waiter charged the entire bill to one gal’s credit card. Bone church is a must see!
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Dear guest,
We apologise for caused inconvenience. Since this wasn´t a private tour, there was a possibility of other guests joining the tour as well. In the programme, we do not mention the lunch being included. Hopefully you were able to solve the issue with the bill on the spot. We are glad you enjoyed the Ossuary.
We will be looking foward to seeing you next time when you visit Prague again!

This was our 8th guided tour on a two week vacation and hands down the worst. The initial pick up was great. The driver took us to a location to meet the rest of the group and then we boarded a small bus. The bus is run down. The AC works but not well. On the way back they had to open the ceiling vent because it wasn’t working in the back of the bus at all. We were seated in the front so got enough cool air but I felt bad for the people in the back. The sites themselves were fine but there was very little information. We spent half the trip not understanding a word the guide said because it was in French. We booked an English tour. The guide was extremely difficult to understand over the speaker so between that and not having half of the talk pertaining to us I gave up and read my book the whole way there. As others said the bathroom was an issue at the first stop- you need 20 crown to use the bathroom but there’s no mention of that before the tour so you can’t be prepared. (There was a second bathroom spot later in the tour which was free and the facilities were fairly decent - but we also didn’t know there would be another bathroom break) The bone church was interesting albeit a little creepy but very little information was given at the site about what we were looking at. The second stop was a bit better but honestly felt like the tour was just not that great. Our guide did try to explain some things at this church, but it was difficult to understand her. We were given about 45 minutes of free time at the end which we spent eating (our choice of course but the tour pick up was 12:05 and we didn’t get dropped off until 18:30 so didn’t really have much choice if we didn’t wanna starve - the food wasn’t great at the Italian place but served its purpose) so didn’t have any time to actually explore the town which we would have liked to be able to do because it was so pretty. I’d go back to these sites, but not with this company. My other gripe is that on the way back, they asked if they could drop us off at the rail station or somewhere else other than the starting point. Which I guess was fine since they weren’t going to return us to our hotel where they picked us up from - news to us - so we would have had to pay for a taxi/uber regardless of where they left us. This was the only time this happened to us on any tour in any country we were in over the last 2 weeks. Honestly the whole tour seemed not well put together and unprofessional. I hate writing a bad review but honestly, save you money and precious time.

The tour was ok. The issue we had was this was a 6 hour tour with no restroom facilities. The only thing offered was a paid toilet but we were not given that information prior to getting on the tour bus. Made for a challenging day.

The Bone Church and St Barbara Cathedral were amazing sites to visit. The tour should include the tour guide to stay with us inside the sites to explain the history and paintings inside the structures. Unfortunately for the long ride back and forth on the bus, the bus was very warm inside and it was a hot day outside. So the traveling was a bit uncomfortable .

The stops at each site were short but appropriate for the size of each place. The big downside is that descriptions and histories of each site were discussed by the tour guide on the bus over the intercom instead of at the site. The tour guide mostly left the group to explore on our own instead of showing us specifics of each place (like other tour guides I observed.) the tour guide was difficult to understand over the bus intercom, so I used Wikipedia to learn about the sites instead. He did have interesting facts to share if you talked to him individually. Lunch lasted an hour, which was enough time. I’d consider this tour a Plan B for your time in Prague.

Overall, we had a great trip - our guide, Martin was very good explaining what we were looking at. Unlike other tours we have been on, there wasn't really much of a logistical break down - as far as explaining when bathroom or water breaks would be available - it was more of a stumble upon a bathroom as we walked to our first stop (cash required - also not told in advance). No breaks to get water or a drink until the last 40 minutes in town. Also, we went in a large tour bus - which wasn't started until it was almost fully loaded - which took ~30 minutes for the AC to even start cooling down the hot bus. Tour great - logistics - could be improved on.

This was not what was advertised or what I wanted. If you are looking for a speed-walking follow-the-leader situation, this tour is for you. However, I was looking for more of a way to explore places and maybe do a little bit of a guided tour at the churches and whatnot. However, this experience was one of the most guided tours I could imagine. The churches were fine, but the guided tour of the town actually made me angry. Our guide just walked far ahead of the group, would stop for about 15 seconds to say a sentence or two about something and then zoom off again. We only had 45 minutes of "free time" to explore the town itself, which was not enough considering we had to eat lunch in that time and weren't allowed to bring food on the bus. So we had just been zoomed through town without even time to take pictures and then we couldn't even go back to look at it or go shopping on our own. It's sad because there was a jewelry maker by the first church who I wanted to buy something from but we were forced to leave so quickly I wasn't able to do that. I don't see the point in a tour if we aren't given the chance to even support the local economy.
I really didn't want to give this one star, but unfortunately I could not think of any redeeming qualities. The things we did see were cool, but this was absolutely not the way to see them, and it was really disappointing because I felt like I wasted a day I could've spent doing something else on my trip.

I just toured Kutna Hora with a great tour guide Martin. It was great to get outside of Prague and experience the Czech countryside. Be advised in the Ossuary no photography is allowed period. But our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the Ossuary and the two cathedrals that you also visit on this highly recommended day trip from Prague.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Dear Kevin,
thank you for your review! We're happy to hear you enjoyed the Kutná Hora tour and your time with Martin. It’s great that you appreciated seeing the countryside and learning about the Ossuary and cathedrals. Thank you for the helpful note about the no-photography rule — and for recommending the trip!

This tour was probably one of the worst we have done - and we have done 4 Viator trips in the last month alone. The bus was not marked and the driver was very moody. The guide did not make anyone feel welcome, was monotone, only recited facts and lacked charisma and a sense of humour. The time spent in the cathedral and surrounding buildings was too long - we walked through the beautiful town past some lovely cafes & shops but couldn't stop. We weren't told what time we would be stopping to eat (it wasn't until 3:30pm) and given the option, we could have easily had longer 'free time' and browsed the quaint shops/cafes. The bone church is very small and you are not allowed to take photos inside! An expensive tour and not worth it in my opinion.

The tour was very interesting and having the guide was the icing on the cake. The Bone Church is an amazing exhibition of artistic talent with great meaning. The Cathedral of Assumption of Our Lady and St. John the Baptist is worthy of the visit. The Cathedral of Santa Barbara is a spectacular, cathedral-esque church decorated with sharp spines, flying buttresses & frescoes. It is beautiful and the architecture is amazing. This guided tour is an easy walk. Unfortunately the weather didn’t hold out for the last hour or so, but there are no regrets and our small group held together through it. Overall a 5/5 experience.

We had mixed thoughts between both my partner and myself. Although we enjoyed the experience it could have been made better with a better guide.

In my opinion it is an excursion for a holiday like 1st May. Nothing soecial to highlight. Good experience.

Great combination of experiencing history and the beautiful countryside. The town was really sweet and gave a true sense Czech culture.
Teresa_M, Apr 2025
We had a fascinating experience seeing the sites. The Bone Church was hauntingly amazing. It was a beautiful tribute to the thousands of souls who abide there. The churches and villages were gorgeous with stunning scenery.

The tour guide was very informative. I would recommend planning a bathroom break within the 6 hr tour and notifying people before the tour the price of the restroom so they are prepared.
Krystal_F, Mar 2025
Our guide use was very knowledgeable and funny. We had a great time touring the bone church and the quaint town of Kutna Hora. We had time to walk around the down and grab a coffee and food. It was a tour of 5 people and we were very comfortable in the large van. Great trip!

Great guide. Small group and fun experience. Would do again in a heart beat. Will be checking out other trips this agency has.

Our guide, Valentina was so nice and taught us a lot! It was the second time in Kutna Hora, but much better with her this time!
RGarey_G, Oct 2024
Seeing beautiful town and church. We were disappointed that our tour guide had a cold and we were crammed in a small van. Also could generally not hear her as volume too low and her accent. We were unhappy that we were not returned to our hotel at end of trip and not told before hand.
pamela_h, Sep 2024
It was interesting but the tour guide went nonstop in Spanish and English and half the time we could not understand her. The tour operator picked us up at 12noon with departure at 12.30pm.
At 4.30pm we stopped at a pizza shop where we were expected to enter and buy food. At that time we were not in the mood to eat pizza so sat outside as sitting inside was taking seats for patrons. The tour guide was really only interested in the Spanish family. We all get old but she was beyond being a tour guide as she was not 100% on her feet up and down steps. We visited a church and I could see some interesting aspects that were being covered so I went off and later was chastised for deviating from the group even though I was still inside the church and only went around the corner and back before she had finished waffling on.

Martin was very informative and had some interesting stories about the town of Kutná Hora and its history.

Kutna Horą is worth a visit. Sedlec Ossuary is truly unique. There is a little bit of walking and we were lucky with fair weather.
We could have a better guide though.

St Barbara church and it’s history, the walk through Kunta Hora, and the Czeck countryside outside of Prague.
Response from Host, Aug 2024
Dear Stephen, we're thrilled to know that you enjoyed your visit to Kutna Hora. St. Barbara's Church is a truly remarkable site, and the surrounding countryside is breathtaking. Thank you for sharing your positive feedback.

Good transportation. Some confusion on pick up and drop off. Bathroom situation not well thought out. Some locations seemed to lack significant content around the place, history, politics etc. Not fully transparent. Probably go with another company to Kunta Hora which is a town rich in history and cultrue.
Response from Host, Aug 2024
Dear John, thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any confusion regarding the pick-up, drop-off, and bathroom facilities. We'll review our procedures to improve these areas.

The most memorable part of the tour was our guide Martin. Many tour participants probably would not have liked his style of guiding, but he was my idea of the perfect tour guide. First, it was a small group. Instead of spending time on the microphone while we were being bused from Prague to Kutna Hora, he gave the tour a more personal touch by talking to participants in small groups. When we got to our various stops, he gave a small talk on what we were going to see, shared any historical facts or legends in connection with the site, and then gave us about 25 minutes (which was perfect) to explore on our own. I, myself, do not like being herded around in a group nor do I like being bombarded with information over the course of an entire tour. However, he was always available to answer any questions we may have had.
Response from Host, Aug 2024
Dear Julie,
Thank you for your kind words about Martin! We're delighted to hear that you appreciated his personalized approach to the tour. It's great that you enjoyed the small group size and the opportunity to explore at your own pace. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to strive to provide exceptional tours with knowledgeable and engaging guides.
Kindest regards, Kate
