This trip was memorable , filled with history of this medieval town. The guide Ondrej was excellent and his knowledge of the history and culture was eloquently expressed in his passionate delivery !

Incredible! Small group exploration of Kutna Hora! Extremely knowledgeable, friendly guides pick you up at your hotel & give a beautiful snapshot of Kutna Hora, past and present. Stops include a quaint Folk Park, the Magnificent gothic Cathedral of St Barbara, & one of a kind Sedlac Ossuary / Bone Chapel. Lunch was included as well as time for personal exploration! I am so Grateful I discovered Kutna Hora with Jana & Czech Out Tours!!

We had a wonderful day with Ondřej! He picked us up at our hotel with water and snacks, knew the best places for pictures, coffee, and treats, and provided excellent information the entire time. Really enjoyed our day with Jana. She has such a warm personality and is passionate about history. Make sure to ask to see a photo of her self made medieval costume! So talented.
This was such a unique tour. The first stop, you get to step back in time and explore what traditional Czech village life was like in a beautiful recreated historic town. Moving on to Kutna Hora, it was fascinating to see the Sedlec Ossuary. NOTE: it is a 15 min timed admission and they no longer allow photographs inside. After a really nice lunch we got to explore the beautiful St. Barbara church and the small town of Kutna Hora. Made for a wonderful day and enjoyed the small intimate size of the tour group. Highly recommend Czech Out Tours!

Our guide, Ondřej, was fabulous. From the get-go, he was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. He was patient and responsive to all our pre trip logistics questions. He enthusiastically answered all of our questions about Kutna Hora, folks village, the cathedrals and Czech culture/history in general. He was very knowledgeable and fluent in English. We learned more from Ondřej than any of our guides on previous tours. We appreciated how relaxed and personalized the tour was with a small surprise at the end and time to peruse local shops. It was a full day, but a small group made it very easy. Our guide, Jana, was very knowledgeable and eager to share information and history of the area with us. She also was flexible with lunch times and choices. Entry to Kutna Hora is timed entry, and she made sure we knew that part was not flexible.

Jana handled herself very well through an unexpected delay early in the tour. The delay was in no way the fault of the tour company. The tour itself was great with excellent stops throughout the day, and the best meal I had during my stay in Prague. The St. Barbara's church was amazing.

Great private experience. It was me and my friend, Andrej was our guide. He picked us up in a van, as well as 4 other people who booked the tour, and it was very comfy for the whole ride. Andrej was very informative and entertaining, and was very easy to talk to about the sites we visited as well as answering our questions about Czech culture. The restaurant we had lunch at was a fantastic Czech restaurant, highly recommend getting the lunch included. We were back at our place at about 5pm

I would strongly recommend this tour. We had a lovely day with our guide Ondrej. Our day began with a very comfortable drive in a spacious van and we were provided with water and a snack. Our trip involved a stop at an historic village on our way to Kutna Hora. It was really interesting to see how people lived hundreds of years ago.
Kunta Hora is a beautiful town and the bone church was an experience we will not forget. Ondrej is very knowledgeable about the history of this town and its historic buildings and churches. The views are incredible and we had the opportunity to take some great photos. We made a surprise stop at a small boutique chocolate shop, had a chocolate tasting with some very unique chocolate, and the best hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted.
We chose the tour with lunch and unlike other tours with lunch, the restaurant we went to was a local restaurant. The food was delicious, there were many options, and we had a fantastic view of the church from our table.
I did this tour with my 83 year old mother and she managed without issue. All in all it was a lovely day.

Such a great little town away from the hustle and bustle of Prague. Communication from Ondrej was great and informative and helpful came right on time to pick me up from my hotel. He even sent his live location! Ondrej kept the conversation lively and gave us all sorts of fun tidbits throughout the day.
Kuna Hora was amazing. The Bone Church was impressive, the garnet store was beautiful, and the churches were stunning. I learned about Bohemia glass and Czech garnets. All the hidden gems sprinkled throughout the day were really special and I ended up with so many keepsakes. There was time for a little wine, a little souvenir shopping, and lunch was delightful.
Of all the tours I took in Prague that week, this service was above and beyond- from the wifi in the van, to Ondrej helping me out with things that needed translation. I highly recommend taking this tour and any other tours from Czech Out tours.

Andew is very personal and knowledgeable and his English is superb. I personally like someone who is honest that if they don't know something they say so and look it up and then tell you what the answer is versus just telling you something hoping you will believe them. Andrew also arranged for us to get lunch at a very popular local restaurant. The meal was delicious and Andrew arranged things such that we had only a short wait.
We chose this tour because of the inclusion of the Folk Village which was not an option with the other tour we considered. This outdoor museum provided insight into the lives of people living in small rural villages during the mid to late nineteenth century.
The visit to Kutna Hora was enjoyable and informative about the economic life of ancient Bohemia with regards a silver mining and related production of coinage. It's apparent that Kutna Hora was once a very prosperous town and it's filled with traditional Bohemian architecture and streetscapes. There is also of course the very impressive Gothic/Baroque cathedral which is open to the public.

It was a terrific. Ondrej was a consummate professional. Friendly and knowledgeable, he went out of his way to make us comfortable and welcome. When one of the sites was closed on the day of the tour, he readily substituted an additional which we thought was an excellent choice. He made sure we knew this in advance so there would be no surprises. When there was a cancellation which would allow him it cancel this excursion, h did not and honored our reservation. This is above and beyond customer service. We felt we got more than our moneys worth on this booking and would have booked with him again if we were staying longer in Prague. He was definitely one of the best tour guides we have met.

This tour provided a fascinating look at human skulls and bones, in total 40,000 skeletal remains. These are humans who died from plagues and wars. The ossuary is a humbling sight hat made us contemplate our human existence. Our guide ondrej also took us to the church of Saint Barbara, a stunning cathedral reminiscent of Notre Dame, a combination of Baroque and Gothic architecture that took 6 centuries to build. Ondrej's recounting of Kunta Hora's history made the tour memorable. An added gem was a visit to a replicated folk village where we learned about the daily life, customs, and traditions of the old kingdom of Bohemia.

This was such a great tour! We were picked up at our hotel & driven around all day to multiple sites. I didn’t have to worry about anything. The folk village was closed during the time of year that we were there but the private tour we had in the castle was an awesome substitute. Lunch was delicious too! Beautiful views, has shown us a few hidden gems of the Czech countryside. Detailed explanations and he took us behind the altar in one of the churches, something not everyone gets. He is good at planning at the right times, so we avoided the crowds, yet got to see everything

Our Czech Out Kutna Hora tour with Ondrej was outstanding!! He's an exceptionally friendly guy, as well as highly organized and situationally aware. Basically the ideal qualities in a guide. He timed our various stops flexibly and strategically to avoid the throngs of tourists from busses. He also had lots of little suggestions along the way of shops/views/landmarks to check out. I feel like our little group became quite bonded!
Really it was the details that took this tour from being great to really special, things like: his proactive communication before the tour, reccomendations at lunch, him running to the van to grab us all umbrellas when it started drizzling, him handling the tickets and communication at each venue, him having researched a hidden exhibit at one of our stops and getting us special access to an original fresco I will never forget.
I get the impression that each Czech Out tour is well-structured while also being personalized to the interests and abilities of the people in the group ... ours certainly was. I'll be recommending Czech Out to every person I know visiting Prague. If you're on the fence about booking, even if you're not generally much of a "tour person" ... this one is worth it.

I booked a small group tour and was shocked to find I was the only guest. Instead of canceling, Ondřej turned it into a private tour, and I couldn't be more grateful.
Ondřej was incredibly kind and accommodating. At one point, he even paid cash for a ceramic flower bouquet I wanted from a village shop (they didn’t accept cards), and let me transfer him the money later.
The day trip exceeded all my expectations and the sites we visited were simply stunning. Ondřej added much needed historical context at each site and patiently answered all my questions. Thanks to his perfect timing, we also avoided big tourist groups and the whole day felt calm and personal.
I had an amazing time and will definitely book with Ondřej again in the future. Highly recommended!
