This was a great look into the food and traditional music of the Czech Republic. The musicians and dancers were excellent and the food was great. Plenty of wine and beer also. The woman leading the music was fun and spoke at least 4 languages. They played music from each country represented by the audience. They had plenty of audience participation also.

We were picked up at our hotel and taken to the venue. For the first half hour we were the only people there. Served lots of beer and wine and some interesting cuisine. The entertainment was lively and fun.

Excellent and fun times! The food was great, and the musicians and dancers were good as well. The whole event gave you a good look into the culture of the people. The only thing I would suggest is that they need a second screen and a projector on the other side of the room. Only about 2/3rds of the people are seated in a way that they can see the screen for the short movie that is played. Otherwise our group of four had a wonderful time and it was well worth the cost. This was a great experience! And the food was wonderful. (Tho the best wine in Prague is still beer!)
Service was great and the venue was cozy, even though there were a lot of people there! Definitely a fun night.

We booked this experience for two adults with two teenagers (19 and 16). We took advantage of the free pick-up from Prague 2, which was convenient and the driver was on time. We were the only passengers in a 7-seater bus. The driver didn’t speak English but was friendly and helpful and the drive was about half an hour away - further than we thought. It felt like we were taken to the middle of nowhere and the venue was nowhere full with only two other tables booked. The band started on time and our starter arrived pretty much as soon as we sat down. The three course meal was surprising tasty however we did have a dietary requirement which did not seem to have got passed to the restaurant. It was not a big issue for us but could be for others so check on arrival. Drinks kept coming and our glasses were kept topped up throughout. The entertainment was a combination of traditional music, dances and songs through the whole meal. We were invited to join in the singing, dancing and playing instruments. We were made to feel very welcome and had lots of fun as a family.

A very fun evening with lots of yummy food, constant drink top-ups and fabulous, traditional entertainment. It felt like I'd been shot back decades in time lol. Plenty of audience participation and I wasn't alone for long, as I was seated with two groups who were extremely welcoming and fun!

We had a wonderful evening! We were greated promptly and well taken care of from the moment we arrived. Each course of our meal was delicious and we never had an empty glass. The entertainment was fun and thoughtful. The musicians are very talented. We sat right next to the musicians and enjoyed the interactions with them. The dancers and vocalist were also very talented and very fun to watch. My husband and I were very happy with our selection of this folklore dinner!

The food was great, and music and dancing was entertaining. One word of warning, the staff expected way too much audience participation, and for introverts like myself it was extremely ackward at times, but other than that, great experience. One area of improvement, it was unclear pickup time versus start time. They were clear pick up time and start time were not the same, and the start time was clear, but it was unclear and a lot of guess work determining what the actual pick up time was.

I really enjoyed this evening of music immensely. The ensemble consisted of two violins, a cembalom (hammered dulcimer), and a lady that alternated between string bass and cello. Two of the members of the group sang as well and another solo singer did lot of the old Czech folk songs. There was also another dance couple that was great. The music was really great. Very reminiscent of the Hungarian and Roma music – really beautiful harmonies, to classical as well as favorite songs of the audience members from many different countries represented. You could tell that each musician was a virtuoso in their own right. Various other folk instruments were highlighted such as bagpipes and a kind of alpine horn instrument. They really gave it their all, and put their heart into it, and I’m really glad that I went.

What a fun evening with Americans, French, Turks all enjoying typical Polish food (incl. a kebab) and seeing how the wine steward handled his wine shooter (?) and never spilled a drop! Music, dancing all lively and fun.
The event was quite a ways out from downtown Prague, and in our case a snafu about the pickup meant we had to walk a long way to the point of contact for the ride. Our hotel THE ART NOUVEAU PALACE certainly WAS in the pickup area as the driver drove by it as he picked up other guests. We were delivered back safely to it. I commend Peter, the driver.

Impersonal, bad accoustics, poor quality overgooked food.
Dissatisfied with this dinner show. Hard to hear or see the performers from the side lines. Everyone sitting at my table wanted to leave before the end of the show. I highly recommend Michals Restaurant Czech Traditional Folk Dance Dinner Show.

Unfortunately we did not get to experience this event. There was a mixup on the pick up location. We waited for 30 min and emailed the company... no response. Despite the miscommunication (both sides admittedly at fault) we were not offered even a partial refund, so we paid $135 for nothing. We believe a compromise was in order.
