Easy and informative day in Prague

Adam was excellent. He knew his history and was made the day an enjoyable experience. While Prague has some significant elevation changes, we seemed to be walking downhill all day. History, food, beer made for an informative day.

This was just a wonderful day visiting sites that were all centrally located and yet somehow a little off the beaten path. Unlike the big sites that are overwhelmed with tourists by late morning, I kept wondering why more tourists weren't around us all day long. I would argue that some of the things that we saw on this tour were as beautiful as anything we saw on the tours of the more well-known sites, but we could take the time to explore and enjoy them with our guide because they weren't anywhere near as busy. The highlights for me were Saint Nicholas church and the unbelievably beautiful libraries at the monastery - but everything we saw that day was special. This tour should not be a replacement of a visit to all of the iconic sites in Prague, but if you have a week to spend in the city like we did, this tour is well worth your time later in the week. In particular, our guide was accommodating, thoughtful, and well informed and made the experience all the better.

Communication on where and when to start the tour was excellent with was able to meet our guide with ease. The tour itself was informative, flexible and our guide ensured we stayed on track for timing while meeting our tempo. We never felt rushed and our guide was a wealth of information as we peppered him with a ton of questions. He is professional, knowledgeable and so very personable, putting us at ease immediately. We knew that we were in good hands and had no worries. His recommendations were top notched and had a ton of options for lunch. Overall, an excellent tour and would definitely recommend!

Barbara was a great ambassador for her city. Sharing stories about growing up under Soviet occupation to how the city has changed today. She took us all over the city including some spots like the Library and Loretta that you might - and shoudlnt miss! Highly recommended.

Starting with the easy booking and excellent communication after booking - Barbara was wonderful! Knowledgeable and very pleasant. She respected and included my interests, accommodated my pace and answered my all questions. I so enjoyed hearing the history and seeing the beautiful sites with Barbara’s gentle and insightful stories and commentary. A perfect day - The day flew by ! An insight into the "other" Prague.

We really enjoyed this "Hidden Gems" walking tour of Prague with Joseph. He was flexible (met us off the tram), very personable and knowledgeable about Prague. Loved the Strahovska monastery - the library was a revelation with ancient books and artifacts, the brewery was absolutely awesome - neither of us normally drink beer but it was completely delicious. Loved the Loretta and especially the treasury too. But best of all was spending time with Joseph understanding his views on Czech life, politics etc. He guided us to make good lunch choices too. The only reason I didn't give this tour 5 stars is that we would have preferred for Joseph to accompany us inside the Loretta as opposed to providing the audio guide. Ended the tour with a climb up to a wonderful panoramic view across Prague - very memorable day.

Unexpected beauty

The whole tour was amazing. Strahov Monastery and Loreta Praha are so beautiful and the views from Petrin Tower are the best. Joseph was a wonderful guide with the very best stories. It was like spending the day with an old friend.
