My sister and I visited Prague for the first time and I was keen to learn more about the assassination of Heydrich at the hands of Czech resistance. The tour was eye-opening. Our guide was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the operation. You could tell be his detailed explanations and tone, that he cared deeply for the topic itself and how it was one of the proudest moments in his country's history. It was a harrowing experience, which made me feel like I was watching a historical documentary. Our guide made us feel so emotionally invested in the unbelievable sacrifices these men made. Highly recommended tour.

This was an excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide who was very good at imparting a lot of information in any interesting way.
The tour was nearly 4 hours long, not 2 and half to 3 hours as stated.
George_B, Mar 2026
The best part of the tour is the visit to the crypt, I would suggest skipping the tour and going directly to the crypt..
John_A, Mar 2026
A great tour. George was extremely knowledgable and really enjoyed talking about the history. Would recommend.
Sarah_R, Mar 2026
So informative, and last around 3 hours and 50 minutes, so wear comfy shoes. Our guide Otto was an expert
Mary_C, Mar 2026
Our tour guide was extremely informative and conversational, and added a lot of context and nuance to descriptions of Prague/Czech history before and during WWII. The tour was paced really well, and we were able to notice and learn things walking that we would’ve missed otherwise. This absolutely added to our understanding and experience of Prague as a whole and left us feeling grateful and inspired.
It was very easy to find our tour guide, and it started and ended on time.
Jill_O, Mar 2026
A very informative experience with much detailed information about the Czech in WWII and the active resistance movement.
Eddie_H, Mar 2026
Pavel was very knowledgeable and gave very detailed descriptions of events. Authentic documents then the crypt was very moving
Samantha_P, Feb 2026
This was an awesome tour and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. It was interesting to learn about the history of WWII through another countries view point.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank you for your generous review. It’s always encouraging to know that the history, atmosphere, and storytelling resonate with our visitors.
Sanjeev_M, Feb 2026
The tour operator was knowledgeable. But he did not show the street where Hedrick was shot. Also, he left me at the Cethedtsl where the Czech parachutists were assassinated without showing me around.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Dear Sanjeev,
Thank you again for your review and for joining our WWII in Prague Tour & the Crypt of Operation Anthropoid.
I would like to clarify two points mentioned in your feedback.
The exact site of the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich is not included in our standard itinerary. The location is situated in a different part of Prague, quite far from the Old Town area where the main Operation Anthropoid story unfolds during our walk. Visiting it would significantly extend the duration of the tour beyond the scheduled time. In addition, today there is only a small memorial at the site, with very limited visible historical remains. For these reasons, we focus on the key locations in the city center that are directly connected to the resistance operation and its aftermath.
Regarding the Cathedral of St. Cyril and Methodius, it is an active church, and guides are not permitted to give historical explanations inside the main space. Out of respect for the rules of the cathedral, all detailed explanation about the final battle of the Czechoslovak paratroopers is provided outside before entering. Inside, visitors must remain quiet and explore the crypt individually.
I understand that expectations may differ, and I am sorry if this caused disappointment. Your feedback is appreciated and helps us improve how we communicate the structure and limitations of the tour.
Kind regards,
Marek T

Must see if you are eager to learn about an era from WW2 and the Czech role in dismantling part of that foray. The guide and artifacts shown lent credibility to take us back in time.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Your review truly made our day. Thank you for being such an engaged and thoughtful guest.
Kate_H, Feb 2026
Great tour with a great guide. Good mix of walking, artifact reviewing and riding the tram! Hana used humor and great storytelling to relay the circumstances of a dark chapter in our collective history.
Wally_D, Jan 2026
Don’t miss this tour!! Hannah, our guide was amazing. This tour was the best part of our visit to Prague. Hannah is so knowledgeable and communicates the history of Prague just prior, during, and after WWII. The Operation Anthropoid information was exceptionally done and made to come alive. Hannah shows pictures, has artifacts, and being a native of Prague, she is an expert in this area. If you are a WWII Buff as I am, this tour will explain things to you that you never knew before. A+++
Josh_V, Jan 2026
This tour was extremely informative. Hanna our guide was so passionate about the subject material it really brought that time period to life.
Gentjan_M, Dec 2025
It was ok but nothing special, I would like to se more than historical facts and facts. Would recommend if there’s more time to explore
Carol_C, Dec 2025
Thank you Paval for a very informative and Interesting tour, we enjoyed learning more about Operation Anthropoid and seeing where the events happened.
Lucy_P, Dec 2025
The tour was fascinating and extremely poignant. Our guide Pawel was brilliant, and was happy to answer anyone’s questions. Very informative, and a nice small group. The end of the tour in the crypt is emotionally brutal, but you can choose not to go in if it’s too much for you. I really recommend this to history buffs, it’s essential if you are interested in WW2.
Lawrence_D, Dec 2025
Great. Pavel made the tour very interesting. He knew the subject well and his English was very good. I highly recommend this tour.
Keith_S, Dec 2025
Paul, our tour guide, provided us a backdrop on the history of Adolf and Germany along with Czechoslovakia prior to operation of Anthropoid. He was very detailed and supplied photos and artifacts. Only suggestion is that he should check every in at the beginning so that we have enough tickets for the train. Unfortunately one of our group members did not get a train ticket so we all had to Uber back.
Dan_B, Dec 2025
Very detailed and for us, very long. I love history and our guide did a brilliant job but it was just too long. Advertised as 2-2.5 hours we finally left at 3.5 hour mark and no bathroom break until 3 hour mark. It was rigorous w/ a lot of walking which was fine but wished I had just done something easier that didn’t leave our party (of 4) exhausted
Clare_G, Dec 2025
Our guide was brilliant. He was so knowledgable, and the sheer amount of history we learned at each location was incredible. We were taken to sights that would normally be overlooked and given a whole new appreciation for an already stunning city. The tour was just over 3 hours with lots of walking and some stairs, but navigation was easy with such a wonderful guide. Absolutely recommend this tour for anyone interested in WWII.
Debi_W, Dec 2025
Amazing history of Operation Anthropoid and the Czech resistance. Fascinating collection of WW2 memorabilia!! Our guide was impeccable and personable.
Angela_D, Dec 2025
Excellent tour guide. Very informative and knowledgable. Definitely one to do whilst in Prague. Highly recommend.
AlicePekarek_P, Dec 2025
A lot of information shared from this extremely knowledgable guide. A bit difficult to understand with a slight language barrier but manageable. Worth the price and learned a great deal about the history of this area and event during WWII.
Ian_F, Nov 2025
Absolutely amazing tour, such a humbling experience being in the crypt. Superb, I loved every minute
Terri_S, Nov 2025
Very knowledgeable and easy to understand. Best tour I've been on in years. Excellent. Highly recommend.
John_F, Nov 2025
Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and passionate. She brought everything to life and told us loads of small pieces of information and personal anecdotes. Would highly recommend the tour if you are interested in WW2 history
Matthew_C, Nov 2025
This tour was an interesting insight to the czech part of ww2 and our tour guide, George, was very knowledgeable and engaging. It was laid out very well and flowed nicely without being too overwhelming.
Would highly recommend.
Meghan_M, Nov 2025
Very informative and interesting. Our guide seemed genuinely interested in the subject rather than just spouting facts, which made the topic feel exciting and accessible. Very cool to be able to look at the artifacts first-hand and see the old basement used as a bunker. Only qualm was difficulty hearing the guide at the starting point (where he gave a good background of the start of WW2) due to the crowds/noise at the Powder Gate. Some preexisting knowledge of WW2 in general is probably good to have as this tour does not just cover the basics and instead does a deep dive into the topic
Susan_S, Oct 2025
Ana is obviously passionate about the subject matter. But her English is work to understand. Lots of information but not enjoyable to learn.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Dear Susan, I'm sorry yo hear you didn't like the tour. I hope we will do better next time. best regards Marek
