Best Douro Valley experience

Our Douro valley tour was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Portugal, and Daniel was the perfect host. Since he is a local from the area, he was able to provide us with a truly authentic experience. Our day included a beautiful river, cruise, a visit to a small winery where we were personally greeted by the owner.(instead of being crowded around a bunch of tourist), and a trip to a small town for an authentic Portuguese lunch. The meal was served family style at a local restaurant and featured a wonderful variety of regional favorites. Danielle went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had the best possible experience I highly recommend booking a tour with him.

The tour was marvellous. The guide Daniel Teixeira was outstanding. Cruise on Douro with swimming. Small excellent winery. Family restaurant. And other sights on the way.

This was a wonderful tour! Our guide Daniel picked us up at our hotel and spent the entire day with us. On the way to the Douro Valley, we stopped in Alicante, a quaint little town with a beautiful cathedral and coffee shop that gave us a respite for a bit. Once in the Douro Valley, we took a lovely cruise on the river, enjoyed a local fare lunch in a local restaurant, and then drove high in the mountins to sample local wines, and enjoyed the company of the wineries' owner. The entire day, Daniel was informative, attentive to our needs, and made our experience fantastic. Thank you Daniel!
